Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Good," Riku said after he swallowed. "As I expected." This place wasn't terribly cheap, nor expensive. It made sense that the food was at least average. "Spaghetti?"

"Good," Light said in reference to her spaghetti, hearing how short Riku's answers were. "You try the rolls yet?" He had really wanted some earlier, but the talk about her birthday had him distracted between the time they had their rolls and their main meals.
"I'll get to them eventually," Riku said, cutting up his piece of lasagna before stuffing it into his mouth. He lifted his aqua eyes to finally rest on the pale blue he loved, just gazing at Lightning for the moment as he ate. He was upset; that was obvious. But this wouldn't be a life-changing problem, would it?

Light's eyes locked onto Riku's, and despite his tone, they stayed glued to his eyes. I have my reasons, she silently repeated. "...You have secrets too, you know," she said softly without thinking. She knew there was a lot about himself he still kept from her, and she accepted it. Why couldn't he accept the same from her?
Riku swallowed his food only to look down at it, not knowing how to respond to that. Yes, he did have secrets. But he wouldn't hide his birthday from Lightning. That was a day of celebration, not secrecy. She shouldn't have taken it that way.

Lightning wordlessly looked down at her food and started eating again, not bothering to say anything else. What was there to say right now? Riku just needed to accept that she had reasons for not telling him about her birthday. And that reason would be kept secret, at least for now. She wouldn't be ready to open up about it any time soon. If anything, there was just one thing she would reveal: her birthday...that anniversary, wasn't something to be celebrated.
Riku ate a majority of his lasagna before reaching for a roll, munching on one after smearing butter on it. He looked out a window nearby, seeing some people walking past. He only gazed absently, not having a real purpose to look at them.

"...Some day," Lightning mumbled, leaving most of her spaghetti untouched as she set down her fork. She was sure to keep the words soft enough even Riku wouldn't understand. But she wasn't necessary talking about today. Her birthday was also "some day", and by that she meant "some awful day". Today wasn't shaping up to be too great either, though.

Riku knew he wouldn't finish all of his meal, but that was alright; he wasn't too hungry anyway. His eyes had been bigger than his stomach, which happened occasionally. He turned his head, his eyes resting on the woman he loved again. She appeared to be finished with her meal.

Ella took dishes from another table to the kitchen, where she met up with Lauren. She dragged her outside and pointed over at the table with Riku and Lightning, though subtly. Ella's light brown eyes locked onto the cute guy, seeing that he really didn't look like he was happy. Lauren encouraged her to take action now, before the two got up and left.

"You ready to go?" Lightning asked Riku after a few moments, feeling his gaze on her. She looked up and found his eyes, seeing that they were masking some deeper feelings just like hers were. Why can't you just trust me? She lifted her glass and took a drink, meaning to finish off what water she had left before they went to pay their bill.

Ella "wiped down" a table as she watched her best friend escort a family of four to a table. Not only did she escort them, but she also went by the couple's table on purpose. Ella watched quietly as Lauren turned around to "talk" to the group behind her, only to "accidentally" bump into Lightning's chair.

Light gasped at the sudden push, which was obviously too hard to be natural. She managed to keep the chair from turning on its side, but the remaining water and ice from her glass spilled into her lap. She was shocked at first, because she didn't think that two girls would be working together to get Riku alone. This was just misfortune...Of course this would happen when we're both already upset.
Riku's eyes widened, and he instinctively reached a hand slightly across the table, as if he could have stopped the accident from happening. The hostess apologized wholeheartedly, looking worried as she quickly recovered and continued further into the restaurant. Clearly it was an accident, which made Riku already want to get out of here. Things just weren't going well.

Lightning gritted her teeth, lowering a hand and wiping off the ice that remained before she rose to her feet. "Excuse me," she mumbled to Riku, walking past him to go to the bathroom to use some paper towels to get cleaned up. This is just one of those days where everything goes wrong, isn't it?

Ella continued to wipe down the table she was at, subtly watching as the girl with pink hair walked to the other side of the restaurant to reach the restrooms. She waited a few seconds before making her move, seeing Lauren wink at her as she approached the table. Since she had a rag in her hand, she took the liberty of cleaning up the mess. "I'm sorry about that," she said softly, still a little shy as she felt those beautiful eyes on her. "Is your friend okay?"

Probably not, Riku thought, having seen how ticked Lightning looked just a second ago. But, not to make a scene... "She'll be fine," he said, scratching his cheek as he watched the girl with the lavender hair clean up the ice and water.

"Is there any way I can make it up to you?" Ella asked, standing upright and putting her free hand on the table, facing Riku. "A free dessert, maybe? Our special today is strawberry shortcake. You look like the kind of person who likes something sweet."

Lightning reached the bathroom and saw that they had hand dryers instead of paper towels. You've got to be kidding me. She went into one of the stalls and starting using toilet paper to wipe up the mess, though she was sure it would still be visible when she came out. Right in my lap, too. If it was that other girl, I would have thought it was planned, but this was just very bad luck.

Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little. What waitress in her right mind ever said that to a customer? He'd never heard it even once before today. "Uh...no thanks," he said. "I think we'll just need a--"

"Oh, I insist! Really, it's okay. It's on me," Ella encouraged, smiling sweetly as she took a step closer to Riku. "What's your name? I'll be sure to thank you personally on your check."

"Riku, but I really think that it won't be necessary." The boy shook his head, lifting his hands off the table slightly for extra motion. The dessert wasn't needed, and neither was the personalized check. All they needed was the bill so they could go.

"Riku," Ella repeated, her light brown eyes darting to his broad chest before going to his face again. "What's that stand for, earth or land or something? I read it in a book once. It sounds like a very strong name...and I think it fits too."

Lightning finished wiping up quickly, since there was nothing she could do to get all the water out. She walked out in the middle of the conversation between Riku and Ella, and she felt her last bit of patience go. Strike three. She reached into her back pocket as she walked and pulled out the wallet, also grabbing the right amount of money. She stopped right by the girl and held it out, her eyes hard. "Here's the money for the meal and a tip," she said, eyes narrowed. "Stop flirting with your customers when they're obviously here on a date. And don't get your friends to purposely make a customer spill water on themselves so you can have your five minutes of fame." She looked past Ella, seeing the other girl listening in. It was clear to her the moment she saw Ella out here that it was all a set-up. And they chose the wrong girl to mess with.

Riku's eyes widened in surprise, not expecting this at all. He saw that Ella was caught off guard as well, stuttering a fearful reply. Flirting? So that was what this was! Riku lifted a hand to his face, closing his eyes. Oh, great.

It was enough that Ella was approached, but the hardness of the girl's eyes and her attitude were enough to send her reeling. She took a step back, her eyes wide. "I-I'm sorry," she apologized instantly, not wanting any trouble. "But I don't know what you're talking about..." She could feel all eyes on them now, from every customer in the restaurant. Oh no...

"Yeah," Lightning said, putting the money down on the table. Here's another tip. Stop lying. She stepped to the side, going past the girl and walking towards the exit. She wasn't there to cause a scene, so she was just going to leave before she did that. She was going home, and she didn't care what Riku did. She was so frustrated! Earlier they had just been talking about girls looking at him because of his appearance, and it just was worse than that when Ella started flirting with him and trying to separate them.
Riku lowered his hand and saw Lightning start to leave. He pushed himself up from his seat and started after her quickly. "Claire," he called, ignoring the stares he could feel on his back. This was not how this date was supposed to go.

Lightning shoved the door open, hating that people were watching her and Riku right now. They weren't supposed to be the crazy, dramatic couple. But that stupid, flirtatious waitress and her friend were too inconsiderate to leave them alone when they were on a date. Ella had even come over when they were holding hands earlier! So it was clear those idiots were going to try and break them up, for some guy they didn't even know. They could tell how incredible he was without even knowing him. I know how amazing he is, and that's why I don't want to lose him...
Riku shoved the door open when it closed a few seconds before he reached it, walking out into the cool evening air of Bodhum. "Claire, wait a sec," he said, noticing her storm off up ahead. He knew she was fuming, but she just needed to calm down so they could discuss this.

"Stop calling me that," Light snapped, glancing over her shoulder at Riku before she kept walking. She still didn't like that name, even if she did realize that Claire was who she was. The name just had too many negative connotations, especially with her recent birthday. The name "Claire" reminded her of the sibling who changed her name not only to be stronger for Ven, but for Serah as well. And she failed where it mattered most.
Riku's hands balled into tense fists as he jogged the distance between him and Lightning, approaching her from behind. He slowed his pace when he was near, reaching out and grabbing her arm. "Would you just stop for a second?" he asked, his eyebrows furrowing over his eyes. If she thought that waitress flirting with him meant anything to him, she was wrong. Completely wrong. It was stupid.
