Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Just relax, Light," Snow said, looking back out at the water a few miles off. "You're thinking too much." She was either one step ahead of everyone else or stressing too much on a small detail. This wasn't exactly small, but it was the past. It couldn't be changed. The only thing she could do was forgive and forget.

Lightning nodded faintly, lowering her hand from her forehead and folding that arm over her chest again with the other. She opened her eyes and looked out at the ocean, realizing that this wasn't getting them anywhere. I opened up and nothing's solved. I almost feel worse now that it's out in the open. She wanted to go home and pound a punching bag to take out the new frustrations that rose from this experience.
Snow lifted his hand, putting it on Lightning's shoulder as he stood upright. "Hey, we're here for you," he said, speaking for himself and for his friends. "If you have any trouble, don't take it on alone. Got it?" He didn't like seeing her so down. She used to be so confident.

"Yeah," Light said with a small nod. "Got it." She knew that nobody wanted her facing this alone, but what else was she supposed to do? These demons were hers to face, and nobody could help her with that. Or, at least, that was what she believed. She was always called an "army of one" back in the Corps, and that was how she viewed herself. She faced every battle alone.
Snow smiled. "Good," he said with a small nod. He then lifted his hand from Lightning's shoulder to ruffle her pink hair. He let her vent to him, and he gave his advice: forgive and forget. He knew it wouldn't be easy, but if she ever needed anyone, he and her sister were there. Riku too, he was sure.

"Heh." Light ducked her head a little, smiling faintly at the affection from her brother in law. That's Snow for you. Thinks he's everybody's pal. But now, he really was her friend, so she was alright with this. She unfolded one of her arms and lightly punched him, though he obviously could tell it wasn't one out of anger. He knew from experience what her punches were like when she meant to hurt him.
Snow laughed a little, his smile growing as he looked down at Lightning. He then looked forward again, his eyes finding the ocean not too far off. Now that that was settled, he imagined she would want to head back home, unless there was something else to do.

"Let's head back," Light said after a minute, standing upright. She didn't see any more reason for the two of them to stay here, and she was sure Snow would want to head back to see Serah. Those two were pretty inseparable after everything that happened a year ago. But at least they were reflecting on it all in a healthy way, unlike Lightning.
Snow nodded and pushed himself away from the fence, turning and starting to walk. He knew they were going back to Light's, so that was the direction he headed. Once he walked Lightning home, he would go see his wife.

Lightning walked so she was next to Snow, feeling the small breeze left from the ocean move her bangs. Maybe this talk wasn't a complete waste, she thought more optimistically. She realized that even Snow would be there for her now, even if she used to hate him. He had truly forgiven her for her errors in the past, and she forgave him of his. They were family.
Riku walked away from the others gathered inside Lightning's living room, the teen separating himself as he grabbed the phone off its hook. He dialed Serah and Snow's number, knowing that he wanted to invite them to this whole thing. It was a surprise party for Lightning, since she hadn't celebrated in the first place, or told anyone. Besides, he wanted to make up for Nautilus the other day. That had been an awful day altogether.

Serah put down the eggs she had been getting out to cook the meal when she heard the phone ring. Maybe it's Snow? No... There was no reason for Snow or Lightning to call unless there was some kind of an emergency. She went over to the phone and picked it up, but not without noticing the caller ID. Lightning. "Hello?"
"Serah, hey. It's Riku," the boy said into the phone, glancing back at the people that were talking amongst themselves in the middle of the living room. They had all of their spots picked out for when Lightning got back, which he imagined wouldn't be long. She was never out of the house for a lengthy amount of time anyway.

Serah blinked at the name, though she then felt silly. Of course it's Riku! He said he was going to surprise Lightning with something... "Hey Riku," she greeted, lightening up. She was curious about why he was calling her, but she guessed that Lightning wasn't back home to see that Riku was waiting for her yet. Which meant that she was still venting to Snow. Seeing Riku will be good for her.
"You're not busy, are you?" Riku asked, crossing one arm over his chest as he kept the phone pressed to his ear. He wanted her and Snow to be here for Lightning's surprise whenever she got back. He wasn't sure where she was, but that hardly mattered. It was only important when she got back.

"Just making dinner, why?" Serah inquired, glancing over at the ingredients she had on the counter. Snow was sure he would be home in time for dinner, so that was why she was going to get started on dinner now. She had thought about inviting Lightning over, but obviously Riku had something in store for her, so she wasn't about to take her away from him.
"Because I have a little surprise in store for Lightning when she gets home, and I figured her family would want to be here to see her face," Riku said, smirking a little bit. It was a surprise party, one for the birthday he didn't know about until a few days ago. It was a belated birthday party, of sorts.
  • Author
Serah arched a brow, shifting on her feet uncomfortably. "How little is the surprise?" she asked cautiously. "You know Lightning doesn't like surprises..." But if Riku wanted her and Snow there, then it must not have been too small. That's not good. Can Lightning handle this right now...?
"Not too little, actually." Riku glanced over his shoulder, at his friends. "Just a few friends." It wouldn't be that big of a deal, right? Surely Lightning wouldn't mind. It'd been a while since everyone was together, anyway.
  • Author
"What's the occasion?" Serah couldn't help but ask, realizing Riku had yet to tell her that bit. The surprise wasn't too little, so he must have had a reason for inviting friends over. She had thought before that it was just going to be him surprising her with something, but with people? She wasn't sure how Lightning would take this.
"Her birthday," Riku said with a small nod, even if Serah couldn't see it. Lightning avoided telling him about the special day, so he had his own plans in mind. Of course, he wanted these to work out better than his last few plans.
  • Author
Serah's eyes widened immediately. "Your surprising her for her birthday?" she immediately asked for confirmation. Oh no, Riku. No, no, no... That made things even worse. Lightning made it clear to her sister that she didn't want anything special done for her birthday, and even if she didn't go into detail, she revealed enough. Light was still down these days reflecting on everything that happened right after she turned twenty-one. Didn't Riku know that?
"Yeah..." Riku replied slowly, his eyebrows furrowing at Serah's tone. He didn't understand the message behind it, but he thought it sounded uneasy. "Why?" He thought it was a pretty good idea. She was turning twenty-two, so he thought it fit at least.
  • Author
Serah shook her head. "Lightning made it clear to me she wanted her birthday to pass without anything special going on," she said, not giving the full details. How much of Lightning's past did Riku know? If he knew the events, he didn't know their dates, because a lot of bad stuff happened on Lightning's birthday and on the days following it. Their lives were changed forever, and even if things turned out fine, Light had a hard time coping with it. That was what she had been spending the past few days doing.
Riku didn't say anything, instead looking at the floor. So...Light doesn't want any type of celebration at all? he thought silently, pondering the possibility. It was likely, but why wouldn't she appreciate her friends being here?
