Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Serah lifted a hand to her forehead, looking down at the ground. "It's a big deal to her," she continued. "Her twenty first birthday...really wasn't good. Bad enough that she's been moping about it and dwelling on it since her birthday a week ago. She wants to be alone to cope with her past." She didn't know how to cope with anybody else, unfortunately. She hoped she figured it out with Snow, but honestly, Serah was doubtful it worked out.
Riku sighed, running a hand through his shorter hair. "...Where is she?" he asked, unaware that one of his friends in the room noticed something was wrong. He had to find out where Lightning was, that way she didn't come home. Especially if this was such a big deal.

"With Snow, but I don't know for how long," Serah said, unaware that her husband and sister just split ways and Lightning was walking down the path to her house right now. "She'll probably be home any time." But I don't think you realize how big a deal this is, Riku. She cannot deal with anything out of the ordinary right now. Should she tell him? Did she even have time?
Riku glanced at his friends before approaching the front of the house. He looked out the window, wondering if Lightning would be coming anytime soon. Of course, that was when he saw her coming up the path. He nearly swore, but caught himself before he could say it into the phone where Serah could hear it. "Gotta go," he said then. "Thanks, Serah." He didn't give her a chance to respond, ending the call and placing the phone down. Ugh, what do I do?!

Serah blinked at the hangup, the girl taking the phone away from her ear and looking at it. Lightning must have come home. Oh boy. This couldn't possibly turn out well...She wondered if she should head over to do damage control.

Lightning had her arms folded over her chest, her gaze going from her feet to the front door that was straight ahead of her. She already was planning on going down to the basement and punching something, because that talk wasn't very good for her. Snow tried to help, but she heard all his advice before, and there was no way she could just forgive and forget when it came to herself. She was simple, but not that simple.

Riku looked back to his friends, lifting a hand to grip his silver hair. Crap...he thought in panic, turning and looking at the door. He forced his feet to move, rolling the sleeves of his blue shirt up to his elbows as he approached the door. He wrenched it open and shut it behind him, his hand lingering on the handle as he looked up and saw Light approaching. Distract her...

Light's eyes widened in surprise when somebody suddenly bolted out the front door and stood right in front of it. She stopped a few feet away, her arms coming unfolded as she looked at the boy who looked like he was panicking for some reason. "Riku...?" Why are you here? And how did you get into my house? She was unaware of what was going on inside, Ven telling people Light must have been there and it was time to hide.
Riku smiled crookedly, though it wasn't in confidence; it was in uneasiness. "Hey, Light," he greeted, lifting a hand to the back of his head. He had to get her away from the house. As soon as he walked back inside, the others would know what to do, and that couldn't happen.

Lightning's curiosity remained as she looked at Riku, suspicion also rising. "Is there a reason you're blocking me from getting into my own house?" she asked, looking past him to the door. He wasn't going to force her to make up with him right now, right here, was he? Because she wasn't in the mood to talk.
Yeah, Riku thought, but he only kept eye contact. "I just stepped outside," he said, trying to remain calm. He wasn't sure if it was working or not, but he was calm and collected Riku. He had to make it work.

Okay...? "Well then, do you mind taking a step over?" Light asked, motioning with her hands for Riku to move out of the path of the door. She wanted to be able to get inside of her own house and do as she pleased. She didn't want to ignore Riku, but she couldn't handle another fight today. The only fighting she could handle would be whatever physical fight she initiated while working out by herself.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed at the comment, not acting this time. "You're still mad at me," he said, not stating it as a question. He could clearly see she didn't want to talk, but if she went inside, she wouldn't be any happier. It was best she stuck with him for now, and only him.

"No," Lightning disagreed, faintly shaking her head. She wasn't mad at Riku, not now or ever. This was about her. "I just want to go inside. Today hasn't been a great day." She started coming towards Riku so that she could use the door to go inside. All she needed to do was get changed and then get in a good work out. That was the only way she knew how to take out her emotions.
It's not going to get much better, Riku thought bitterly, though he didn't move. He put his hand on the door handle, holding it shut. "Can we take a walk?" he asked lowly, not wanting her to go inside. If Lightning did that, she would really be ticked at him.

Lightning glanced from Riku's hand on the handle to his face, her suspicions growing. Why didn't he want her going inside? "I'd rather stay in for the day," she said calmly, reaching a hand forward for the door handle. If Riku had something up his sleeve, she wanted to know what it was. He was acting bizarre, and that wasn't a good sign for her right now.
"Light..." Riku said, though he trailed off. He didn't know what to say after that, which was why he looked down at the ground. I can't get her to budge. He was in trouble, which would be even more evident as soon as she walked inside.

"Riku," Light said sternly in return, taking his hand off the door handle. "If you won't let me in here, I'm going to another door. I'm sorry, but I don't have the patience for this today." You picked a bad day to come visit again. I know we never stay apart too long when we fight, but... The bad luck just kept on coming.
Riku looked up at Lightning, his hand down at his side now. He stepped aside, though he wasn't happy about it. Sorry, guys, he thought silently. They were probably going to see just how upset she was.

Lightning nodded faintly to Riku in thanks, turning the handle and opening the door. "You want to come in and tell me what's up?" she asked over her shoulder, starting to walk towards the living room. Riku wasn't himself, obviously, and she wanted to know what was going on. But she was about to find out why he was upset.

Ventus smiled at the first sight of his sister, and he and his friends jumped up from the furniture that they were behind. "Surprise!" he cried, hearing Sora loudly say the same thing as him. He smiled widely at Lightning's face, seeing her stunned and surprised expression. She really had no clue. That's great! It was about time he could do something nice for his sister.

Riku stood outside still, hearing his friends all yell the same thing before Kairi's light laughter entered his ears. They're all happy...but will she be? he wondered quietly, turning his head to see Lightning's reaction from his place just outside the door.

Light glanced back at Riku, connecting the dots quickly. He had thrown her a surprise party, after she specifically said she had her reasons for keeping quiet about her birthday. What, did she need to scream it at him? She didn't want this. You shouldn't have, her expression said to him, though she then looked to the rest of the people in the group and put on a mask. She smiled faintly, acting surprised and as happy as she could be considering she was a soldier.

Riku stepped into the room, though he leaned back against the wall. "Happy birthday, Light," he called. However, there wasn't any enthusiasm in his voice. He saw that look and knew instantly what it meant. She was mad before, but now she was probably furious. He was just trying to do something nice, heartfelt even, and he got a dirty look for it. Nice.

Kairi's smile faltered a little, the girl looking at Riku when he stepped back inside. She knew that tone of his... Something was wrong.

Lightning looked back to Riku again, realizing he wasn't trying to put on a show. "Thanks," she said calmly, keeping her calm exterior a little longer before she looked back to the party goers. She looked back to the group, though, most of them realizing something wasn't quite right by now. "...I appreciate the effort, but I'm not big on birthday parties."

Ven felt himself get confused, his smile fading away. What does that mean? he thought naively. She doesn't want us here? That wasn't what showed on the exterior; she appeared genuine about appreciating the effort, but she also looked like she meant what she said about not being big on parties. What did this mean for them?

"Would you...like us to go?" Roxas asked, pointing over his shoulder with his thumb for extra motion. Lightning seemed a little...different, than when he last saw her. She was happy then, but she didn't appear too pleased to see them here.

"Nah," Lightning said. "You guys can have your party, just...excuse me for not being too into it." She saw Ven's confusion grow at that, but she meant what she said. They had good intentions when they came here, but Riku was wrong to do this. They could still have fun in her house, eat food, laugh...whatever. She just wouldn't be into it.
