Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Kairi bit her lip as she approached Sora, stopping behind him and quietly bending over to look at his face. Her expression turned even more worried when she noticed bags under his eyes, even if they were closed. Was he losing sleep?

Sora furrowed his eyebrows slightly, sensing a presence near him. When he opened his eyes and saw Kairi staring down at him, he felt more awake. "Whoa!" he said, shooting upright like he used to. How had she gotten over him without him hearing her come over? He must have been really distracted.
Kairi's eyes widened when Sora suddenly shot up, and she stood up straight because of it. Unlike the times when she used to do this, she didn't laugh at him. Instead, she only bit her lip, looking at him with worry and a bit of hesitance in her eyes.

Okay, wish granted, Sora thought, turning to look at Kairi when he allowed his widened eyes to return to their normal size. He expected to hear her laughing at him, but he was confused at the look she was giving him. Did he miss something?
"Sorry," Kairi apologized when she saw the look Sora was giving her. She glanced down at the ground. "I didn't mean to scare you..." Maybe she shouldn't just let him rest. She didn't really know what she was going to say anyway.

"Don't sweat it," Sora said softly, though he was still confused. Obviously Kairi had a reason for standing over him, didn't she? "What's up?" he asked, hoping she could answer the question he had just thought of.
Kairi linked her hands behind her back, biting her lip again as she hesitated. "Well..." she said softly. "I'm actually a little worried." Sora wasn't acting like himself lately, and he didn't look good either. It was scaring her.

Sora turned to look at Kairi more fully, his body turning as well. "Worried about what?" he asked, though he figured she would tell him about it. After all, she wouldn't have brought it up if she didn't plan on elaborating.
Kairi lifted her eyes to Sora, the same concerned look on his face. "...You," she answered honestly, though her voice was soft. He didn't look well, the bags under his eyes showing that, as well as how quiet he was lately.

Sora blinked, looking down at the ground when Kairi said she was worried about him. Unfortunately, he wasn't surprised by that confession. He hadn't quite been himself lately, so she was probably wondering about that. Or was she noticing his lack of sleep?
Kairi leaned forward a little, furrowing her eyebrows at the boy. "Are you...okay, Sora?" she asked quietly. She actually wasn't sure why she asked; the answer was so obvious.

Sora glanced up at Kairi before he looked back down at the ground, the teen not sure on how to answer that. "Uh..." he said, lifting a hand and running it over the back of his head. That was probably enough of an answer for Kairi.
Kairi frowned, lowering her head as she stood up straight. "I didn't think so," she admitted softly. It was pretty clear anyway.

Sora lowered his hand back to his side, looking up at Kairi when she spoke. He wanted to say that it was nothing, but it wasn't. He was only getting a few hours of sleep here and there, and he started taking naps throughout the day to help him out. Last night, he had even missed watching the sunset because he was asleep. That wasn't good...
"...Would you mind telling me what's wrong?" Kairi asked timidly, glancing up at Sora. She still cared about him, just as much as she loved him. She wouldn't have come over here if she didn't care...

Sora rose to his feet, letting the sand fall off of him naturally. "Just...bad dreams, that's all," Sora said softly, glancing at Kairi before he looked down towards the ground. But he was sure that they weren't as bad as what she and Riku had gone through with Vanitas.
Kairi frowned at that. Sora was having nightmares now? That was awful! "...Wanna talk about it?" she offered gently. She was there to listen if he wanted to talk... Surely he knew that.
  • Author
"It's just...about the Keyblade, that's all," Sora said softly, keeping his eyes down. He kept on seeing it shatter in front of him, over and over again. And then he would feel the Darkness, sort of like how he used to when the Darkness was tugging at his heart. But it wasn't as strong, so he knew that he wouldn't be dragged into Darkness again.
"'That's all'?" Kairi repeated, worry even more evident in her voice. "Sora, that's not a good thing to be dreaming about." Even when he simply said "the Keyblade", she knew what he was talking about--how he lost it. And those dreams couldn't be anything but nightmares.
  • Author
"I know," Sora responded softly. Of course it wasn't good to dream about that. It was really, really unpleasant, and he didn't enjoy it at all. It was sad, because now he couldn't go to bed and not expect a nightmare.
"...That's why you look so tired," Kairi whispered quietly, mostly talking to herself. So, her suspicions had been confirmed. Sora was restless...his nightmares were keeping him from getting a good night's sleep.
  • Author
Sora looked up at Kairi, having heard her whisper. "Yeah..." he said weakly, not denying it. The lack of sleep really wasn't helping him feel good, and he naturally felt weaker without the Keyblade. He hadn't told Kairi or Riku this, but his heart was literally hurting without it.
Kairi tilted her head. "Is there anything we can do?" she asked softly. There had to be something, at least. She wasn't sure what exactly, which was why she asked.

Sora scratched the side of his head, trying to come up with an answer. "Not that I can think of," he said after a few moments. It wasn't like either of them could take away his nightmares. He hardly suffered from them in the past, so it was rare that this one was reoccurring. It was unusual, and bothersome.
"Oh..." Kairi lowered her sight to the sand, lightly digging the tip of her shoe into it. That was a shame... She really wanted to do something to help him out; all she had been good for lately was causing him trouble. She wanted to change that.
