Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku let his eyes leave Light, instead looking around the room. His gaze immediately found the television, and he figured it couldn't hurt. "How about some TV?" he asked, loosening his hold slightly so he could grab the remote that was just down the couch.

"Sounds good," Light said with a small nod. After all, what else were they supposed to do now? They did have time for a movie, but Lightning never had many movies in her house. They always seemed like a waste of time to her, and before, she never had the time to sit down for an hour or two and do nothing. Now...that was almost all that she did. Other than work out and maybe read a book.
Riku nodded slightly, removing one of his hands from Lightning's side to lean over, grabbing the remote. He picked it up and pressed the power button, turning the television on. He was alright with this, just relaxing with Light. Besides, he was holding her. That was enough.

Light turned her head towards the TV, not bothering to tell Riku to change the channel. It didn't matter to her what they watched, because she wouldn't be into it no matter what show as on. Her head was still buzzing because of those kisses.
Riku relaxed, his hold on Lightning loose but secure. A few minutes passed before his mind started wandering, and he thought up something he hadn't said just yet. "Sorry about the party," he said softly, staring at the television before he lifted his eyes to Light. "I was told a little too late that you weren't big on them, or surprises." He wouldn't have done it if he'd known.

Lightning arched a brow, looking over at Riku and ignoring the TV for a few moments. "I've always told you I don't like surprises," she stated. So how could he have been told too late that she didn't like them? She made it pretty clear to him, just like her desire not to make a big deal out of her birthday. The latter was a little less clear, but still, she thought before today that he would have gotten the message. Apparently he hadn't.
Riku shrugged a little. "Through one ear and out the other, I guess," he said in his defense. He didn't remember, but it was alright. It was in the past now, and he would never do it again.

Light looked back to the television, smiling weakly at Riku's comment. "Typical man," she muttered, though she didn't mean it as an insult. She just meant that men normally didn't remember stuff, or that they were listening at one time and then they didn't bother storing the information in their memory. Whatever the case, she didn't feel like blaming Riku for anything; she didn't want to fight with him again.
Riku smirked slightly, his eyes still resting on the woman on his lap. He would accept that. He lowered his gaze to the television again, though his smirk didn't fade right away. He loved her, and that included her comments. He wasn't offended.

I don't even want to know how he found out I hate parties, Light thought, lifting her hand off Riku's shoulder and gently ruffling his hair. She kept her eyes on the screen, wanting to forget about the party and the looks on everyone's faces when they saw her reaction to it all. She had meant it when she said they picked a bad day to throw a party; any other day, she would have put on more of a mask to humor them.
Riku's smile returned at the gesture, and he knew it was one of affection. He gently squeezed her as he kept his arms around her, glancing up at her before looking back to the television. The words exchanged earlier weren't so pretty, and neither was the story he was told, but he would be with Lightning regardless of her past and her mistakes. If you loved someone, you looked past those things to look to the future. He would do just that.

Lightning glanced back at Riku when her gesture was done, a smirk appearing at his ruffled, frizzy hair. Regardless, she only set her hand back on his shoulder and looked back to the TV, leaving his hair the way that it was. If he wanted to fix it, he could. And maybe she would mess it up again after that, just because she could.
Riku shook his head slightly, his hair settling somewhat so it wasn't in his eyes any longer. Light must have really liked his hair if she kept playing with it like that, but he didn't have any objections. It was a sign of affection, after all.

Love you, Lightning thought, her gaze on the television as she felt some of Riku's hair tickle her arm. If there ever was a time that the two of them weren't in a relationship, she believed that she would still love him. He was the first person who actually got her to open up and be soft and romantic with somebody. He was special.

Two days later, Destiny Islands

Kairi walked back into her bedroom, shutting the door only a little bit behind her before she made her way to her bed. She tucked her hair behind her ear before she collapsed into her bed, pulling the covers up to her shoulders. She was freezing and achey all over, having just gotten sick in the bathroom. This started a few hours ago, when she left the Islands' daycare for the day. One of the kids must have gotten me sick, Kairi realized silently, closing her eyes as a soft breath left her lips.

Sora ran into Namine on his way to Kairi's, the blonde running home to grab something quick before she met Ben for more photography lessons. The girl let him into the house to see Kairi and then left, giving him a quick farewell before going on her way. Once she was gone, though, Sora noticed just how quiet the apartment was. Where was Kairi? "Kai?" he called, looking around the area. I know she's home...
Kairi's eyes opened at the call, knowing who it was instantly. Sora. "In here!" she called weakly, not moving for the moment. Sora was going to see that she was sick, and he would be so worried. Oh no...
  • Author
Sora's battle-trained ears picked up on the call, and he looked in the direction it came from. Bedroom? He started back there, seeing that Kairi's bedroom door was only partially shut. "Kai?" he called gently, tapping on the door with his knuckles before he pushed it open a little more. She would have shut it completely if she had been indecent. That was confirmed when he looked in and saw that she wasn't changing, and she was...laying in bed. Is she okay?
Kairi's eyes instantly went to the door, and she smiled slightly at the sight of her fiance. "Hey, sweetie," she said softly. He was a sight for sore eyes; she hadn't seen him all day since she was working at the daycare. She really did love those kids, even if one of them managed to give her the flu. It would pass soon.

"Hey, babe," Sora said quietly in return, starting towards the girl who was laying in bed. "You look like you caught something," he stated, his voice still soft. She looked like she felt terrible, which meant that their dinner plans for tonight were probably cancelled. But he hardly cared about that; he just wanted her to get better, if sickness really was what was plaguing her. She hadn't said anything yet.
Kairi's weak smile faltered as she looked away. "...I think I did," she admitted quietly, staring at the alarm clock next to her bed. It was just after five, and her and Sora's dinner plans were scheduled to take place in about an hour. Clearly that wasn't going to happen. "I think I caught the flu."

Sora only hummed as he knelt down beside the bed and looked at Kairi with bright blue eyes, care and sorrow in them for Kairi's sake. He should have known she would get sick sometime soon, being exposed to all those kids who carried a lot of germs around this time of year. There wasn't much he and Kairi could do, though, except to take medicine, rest, and wait out the cold.
Kairi saw the look in Sora's eyes when she met his gaze, and once it fully registered, she closed her eyes. "I'm sorry about dinner," she said weakly. She really had wanted to go, but now she couldn't. Not like this.

"Don't worry about that," Sora insisted softly, lifting one of his hands and tucking back Kairi's red hair. "We can always do it here, if you're hungry." He could make her some soup and then let her get to bed so she could rest. He wasn't going to keep her up if she wasn't feeling well.
Kairi nodded slightly against her pillow, though she wasn't sure if she was too hungry or not. After all, she just got sick; nothing would be too appetizing after that. At least Sora was understanding. How could she not expect it? He was so sweet and good to her.
