Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Sora nodded faintly, walking up to the bed and gently sitting Kairi the way she had requested. He kept an arm around her back as he used his other hand to sit up the pillows behind her, so she'd be comfortable. When that was done, he gingerly let her go and he backed up to give her some more breathing room.
Kairi glanced up at Sora briefly before she reached for her water. She took a few sips, frowning at the taste in her mouth. It went away with the help of the water, but it was still gross all the same. She set the water down and just sat there, not knowing what to say. She was embarrassed and miserable. What could she say?

Sora watched Kairi drink the water for a few moments before he looked to the window. It was dark outside, and he was supposed to get home, but how could he leave Kairi like this? He wanted to stay with her as long as possible, but he couldn't stay the night, since his parents wanted him to sleep in his own bed. Apparently they thought he wasn't getting enough sleep, when really, his job was just tiring.
Kairi glanced up at Sora out of the corner of her eye, seeing where his gaze was focused. That was when she looked back down at her lap. "If you need to go home, go. It's alright," she said weakly. She knew that his mother was strict about him staying home overnight, even if Kairi and Sora were engaged.

Sora shook his head softly, looking back down at Kairi. "I don't want to leave you when you're like this," he responded softly. She obviously didn't feel good, which was something he hated to see. Even if he couldn't make it go away, he still wanted to stay. But...Mom... She would get ticked if he didn't come home again.
Kairi smiled weakly, and a little sadly. She didn't want Sora to go either, but neither of them had a say in the matter. "It's alright, Sora," she said softly, looking up at him. "Come over first thing in the morning if you want." He could go home, sleep, eat breakfast with his family, and then come over here to see how she was doing. She was sure that if she didn't voice it, he would have done it anyway. It was just who he was.

Sora smiled weakly after a moment, nodding. He had no choice, so it was best to go before he got sucked into staying. He stepped closer to Kairi and gave her a kiss on the top of her red hair, his hand smoothing out her hair after the kiss was done. "Love you," he said softly. "I'll see you tomorrow."
Kairi's smile grew a little, the girl's violet-blue eyes lifting to the bright blue she adored. "Love you too," she said quietly. She would see him in the morning; she had to get up and call into work anyway.

Sora nodded faintly with the same smile before he walked over to the other side of the bed and slipped his shoes back on. After that, he turned and started out, giving Kairi a weak smile and a wave before he exited the room. He'd come back to check on her tomorrow, and hopefully she'd feel better then.
Kairi watched Sora go, smiling weakly at how sweet and cute he was. But once he was gone, that smile faded away. She sighed and leaned her head back against the headboard, closing her eyes. I need to sleep, she realized. She probably wouldn't get much of it, but she needed it. It was worth a shot.

Two days later

Sora knelt down on one knee on the carpet, a small, soft ball in his hand. Of course, Riku would tease that Sora needed a child-proof ball like that because he was such a kid, but the ball wasn't for him. He tossed it up lightly for the small kid across him, seeing him try to catch it but ultimately fail. "Nice try, bud," he said encouragingly, seeing the blond boy bend down to pick up the ball. He was a cute kid, and sweet too, even if he didn't talk much. He never met him before, and he probably would never see him again, since Sora was just helping out at Kairi's daycare for today. A lot of people called out sick, so here he was, filling in.

Kairi walked over to a few girls that were gathered around a table, coloring in the pictures inside coloring books. "Those look beautiful, girls," she said softly, earning a few smiles. She turned and started across the room, stepping over some toys as she passed Sora. She saw him playing with one of the more timid children, but he was doing a great job at getting him to play. Kairi smiled to herself at the sight, always knowing that since Sora was so sweet and had such a good heart that he would be great with children. It made her love him even more.

"Good job!" Sora said, reaching out a hand and catching the ball even if it was a pretty terrible throw. He got the shy boy to laugh in either amusement or joy, and the Keyblade warrior couldn't help but send the kid one of his trademark grins. "Now, hold your hands out like this to catch it, okay?" Sora set down the ball and showed the boy how to do it. And while the kid mimicked him, he wasn't quite in the right position. "Here, like this," he said patiently, reaching forward and pulling the boy's hands closer together. That's better.
Kairi crossed her arms casually, tuning out the ruckus of all the kids in the room as she focused on her fiance and one of her daycare kids. She was glad that he and Riku could come help out today, since a majority of the other helpers got sick like she did. Of course, from being around her, Sora also caught the flu. He had a higher immune system than her, though, since he got over it a lot quicker than she did. She was thankful for that, because she couldn't take care of all these kids alone.

"Okay, here it comes," Sora said to the kid, holding the ball in one of his hands lightly. "Ready?" The kid nodded. "You sure?" He nodded again, smiling this time. "You really, really sure?" The blond smiled wider and laughed once. "Okay, here it comes..." Sora lightly tossed the ball up into the air and watched the kid catch it. "Good job!" he praised. He finally caught one!
Kairi laughed softly at the interaction between Sora and the blond child. He's going to be a great father someday, she thought, surprising herself. But it was logical; they were getting married soon, so a family would be in their future. She wasn't sure what Sora thought of the situation, but Kairi sure hoped he agreed. A girl stopped next to Kairi and tugged on her shirt. "What is it, sweetie?" the eighteen year-old asked, looking down at the small girl. The little girl pointed to her blocks, which fell over, and she looked upset. "Aww," Kairi said softly. She bent down then and picked the girl up, holding her against her small hip. "We'll fix it, okay? Let's go."

The kid screamed in joy and threw the ball hard, throwing it right at Sora's face. The brunet was surprised when it hit his face and it dropped to the ground, but he laughed, seeing the shy boy doing the same before he ran off to join the other kids that had Riku swamped. While he had a moment, he looked over at Kairi and saw her heading over to the blocks with a small girl in her arms. He was already smiling, so his smile remained as he watched her. He always knew she was good with kids, but now that they were engaged, he was thinking about them possibly having kids. He wouldn't mind it.
Kairi carefully lowered the girl to the ground and then sat down next to her on the carpeted floor. She started to help her with the blocks. "Let's spell out your name, okay? What letter do we start off with?" she asked, looking over at the little girl with dark hair and big brown eyes. She said the first letter of her name with enthusiasm, which made Kairi smile. "That's right! Which block has a 'P' on it?" As the little girl reached for one of the blocks, Kairi glanced up, having felt a gaze on her. Her eyes found Sora's immediately, and she smiled shyly at him. That look he was giving her... Had she ever seen it before?

Sora caught onto Kairi's confused look, but he just shook his head and smiled at her. She didn't need to know what he was thinking right now. They had plenty of time to worry about their future. The wedding preparations were already started, and taking a lot of time, but they were enjoying it. And they were going to get their engagement pictures done later this week. He couldn't wait for that.

Kairi's smile only grew at Sora's gesture, and she nodded to him in silence. Whatever he was thinking, she would probably hear about it some other time; he never kept secrets for long. She went back to helping the girl next to her spell out her name, all the while listening to the squeals coming from the kids gathered around Riku. He was clearly entertaining them.

"Rah!" Riku roared playfully, picking one of the little boys up by his waist and turning him upside down. The kid squealed in excitement, laughing as Riku proceeded to tickle his stomach that was showing. The other kids were gathered around, laughing as well. Apparently they wanted to rough-house.

Sora laughed at Riku's antics, the brunet actually surprised to see him so goofy. Especially with kids, too, since Sora had never seen him interact with children before. He had been best friends with Riku all his life, but Riku had always avoided kids. At least, that was what Sora thought. Now he was thinking differently, since Riku didn't seem like he was a complete stranger with kids.

"Me next! Me next!"

Riku looked over at the other little boy that was crying out for his turn, and he had a feeling this would turn into a line of chances for the kids to be turned upside down. He smirked a little and set the boy in his hold on his feet gently. He held out his hands to the black-haired boy, who took them instantly. Riku lifted him up with his strength, catching him a second later and then turning him upside down as well. The little boy started laughing, which caused Riku's smirk to grow. He never thought he would be this comfortable around kids, but he had a softer side these days. It was easier than he thought.

Lightning walked up to the daycare center that Kairi worked at, the one that Ven told her she would find Riku at. Apparently her boyfriend was helping out with kids while the place was short-staffed. She wondered how that was going, though she expected Riku to be awkward with the kids. The soldier opened the door quietly and stepped inside, surprised to see Riku dangling a kid upside down and looking pretty amused. And...He was actually enjoying himself?
Riku didn't notice the woman he loved in the door, though Kairi did say hello. He dangled the kid he was holding by his feet for a moment, swinging him a little as the little boy laughed. But then he reached for his arm and turned him carefully upright to set him down. The kid side-stepped from dizziness, which made Riku chuckle. Who knew that he would be so entertained by a bunch of rowdy kids? He lowered his gaze when a little girl tugged at his hand, reaching for him. He picked her up and held her to his side. "You wanna be upside down too?" he asked her with a smirk. She was a cute little girl, he had to admit. She reminded him of Kairi when she was younger.

Lightning nodded to Kairi and Sora who said hello to her, though her focus then went back to Riku. She "hmphed" and leaned her shoulder against a wall after shutting the door behind her, her gaze set on the young man she loved. Now that she saw that he was actually good with kids and not awkward, she wasn't so surprised to realize he was doing something like turning them upside down. He was strong enough to do it, after all. But...She couldn't shake her surprise of how happy he looked with the kids. She wanted to stand by for a few more minutes unnoticed and keep watching him.
