Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku couldn't help but smile, giving Serah a thumbs up. They were talking about food, and he knew that Serah was an excellent cook, so he did agree. He shut the front door behind him once he was inside the house, his eyes going back to the young woman in front of him. He really did have good timing today. What luck.

"Wait, what'd you just--"

"Yup, he agrees," Serah said with the same smirk, cutting Lightning off. "I'm not too surprised. I mean, from what you told me, he hardly ever let you cook...Probably didn't want to tell you how bad your food was compared to mine. What a sweet guy."

"Serah!" Lightning cried in exasperation. Was Riku really there? Her heart was already beating irregularly just at the thought of it. But what were the chances of him walking in on her and Serah's phone call...?

Serah laughed. "Yeah, yeah, I know. I'll hand over the phone. Call me again soon, okay?" She heard Lightning's agreement, and the anxiousness to talk to Riku. The girl smiled and held out the phone for Riku to take. Go on.

Riku couldn't help but chuckle, both in amusement and happiness. Light was on the phone, and he finally got to talk to her... He took the phone from Serah's grasp and nodded to her in thanks, then lifting the phone to his ear. "Light?" he said then, already knowing it was her but having to say her name anyway.

Lightning smiled at the voice, sitting up in bed. "Riku. Hey," she said, glad to hear his voice. They had spent ten days apart before, but this was really different to her. She felt so distant from him, even if they were on the same world right now. She missed him terribly.
Riku couldn't help but smile wider, leaning his back against the front door as he crossed one arm over his chest, using the other hand to keep the phone to his ear. "Man, is it good to hear your voice," he said, looking down at the ground. It'd been ten days...
  • Author
"Yours too," Light said, smiling sadly. She had missed hearing his voice and feeling his arms around her. The best that she had right now were the few pictures she stashed on board the Lindblum. She pulled those out whenever she was feeling lonely. ...And that was pretty often.
Riku heard the trace of sadness in Lightning's voice, which made his smile weaken slightly. "How's the Lindblum?" he asked then. What mattered is that she was doing alright and that work was treating her well. If it wasn't, he would be disappointed.

"Fine except for the food," Light said, recalling the conversation she just had with Serah. How much of that had Riku heard? She supposed that it didn't matter; she would babble to him all day if she had the choice. She just wanted to be more connected to him than she was in the past ten days.
"How bad is it?" Riku asked, actually curious. She sounded like it wasn't all that great, and he was a little afraid she would come home even thinner. Of course, Lightning was smarter than that, so he doubted it.

"Fairly bad. Tastes like overly salted cardboard," Lightning said, making a face. She had never actually had to stay on a military base before and eat their food, so this was a new experience. But she ate what she could and was going strong after ten days, so she wasn't worried.
"Heh," Riku laughed weakly, looking up to the rest of the house, knowing Serah was somewhere in here. "Well, by the looks of things, Serah's willing to fix you something good when you get back." Lightning had that to look forward to, at least.
  • Author
"Looking forward to it already," Lightning said with a small smirk. Whenever the Lindblum decided to land, she couldn't wait to go into a town or city and buy food. She was already sick of the food that they served on this ship. How was it nutritional for the soldiers? She was seriously confused about how disgusting and unhealthy the food seemed.
Riku smiled slightly, humming into the phone. He was looking forward to that day as well, since that would be when Light got back. He missed her terribly already, and they still had a while to go until they could see each other again. It would be hard, but they could make it.

"Hope you're enjoying Serah's food in my stead," Lightning said, laying back down on the bed and looking up at the ceiling. He was in to visit, so Serah would probably get him something to eat while he was there. Whatever it was, she was jealous he was able to eat it and she wasn't.
"I haven't gotten any grub just yet, but I'll gladly enjoy it for you," Riku teased, pushing himself away from the door to go look at some of the pictures on the wall. He saw some of Lightning and Serah, a photo from the wedding. He smiled to himself, his eyes lingering on the woman he loved. He couldn't wait to see her again.

"Gee, thanks," Lightning said sarcastically, though she was smiling faintly. You have no idea how badly I want to be there, she thought silently. She missed her family and friends like she had never done before. She supposed that she softened up since the last time she was separated from everyone.
"Sure thing," Riku said, playing along as he gazed at another picture. "But if you get the chance, kick someone's butt for me. It'll be a fair trade that way." He hadn't gotten much action with the Keyblade lately, so it was the least she could do for him as well.
  • Author
"I thought you didn't want me getting into trouble," Lightning said with an arched brow. Kicking somebody's butt would definitely get her into trouble, so no way was she going to follow through with Riku's request. She was going to keep her position in the Corps this time.
"You take me too literally," Riku said, shaking his head as he turned to face the living room. "I meant when you were training or something." Surely they had a gym or something for the soldiers to work out in, and areas for a good spar. "Jeez, Light. Don't make me sound so horrible."
  • Author
"I'm not used to your humor anymore," Light said with a sigh. "Everyone here is too serious." She was already getting into their mindset, where "kicking someone's butt" meant exactly that. She wouldn't even take out too much anger in the training area; she was saving her strength in case something really happened.
Riku felt a little sad at that news, and he wasn't sure what to say at first. "...Sorry to hear that," he said softly. She obviously wasn't happy about it, and he wasn't either. But Light needed this to keep her job. She would pull through.

"Don't worry about it. I won't become a stiff like most of the people here," Light said with a slight smirk. She had been in the military for years and hadn't conformed, so she wasn't about to do it now. She was an individual, even when she was in a group.
"Good, or else I'll have to make you soft again," Riku said, smirking slightly. He remembered how tough Lightning was when they just met. But then they grew close, and they both softened up. There was no going back after that, at least for Riku.

"Yeah, well, you know me--Lightning the Softie," the soldier joked. Of course, she wasn't known as "soft" to many people. She was stoic, strong, and disciplined. While all those were true, so was what she said to Riku. She was softer than she used to be.
Riku chuckled a little, rolling his eyes. "Right," he said, sitting down on the sofa. She could say what she wanted, but Lightning knew he was right. She was softer, and so was he, especially towards each other.
