Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"If I'm not on my guard now, we won't be alive to see battle," Lightning argued, though her voice was soft and her heart wasn't in the argument. She was just...very, very weary. The group looked to her for leadership, but she was just as lost as them. She just didn't know how to tell them that.
"We're relying on each other, not just you," Snow pointed out then, his eyes resting on his sister-in-law's face. "You don't need to be strong for all of us, Light." She needed her strength, but in order to get that, she had to allow herself to be vulnerable, at least for a little bit.

Light shut her eyes at the comment, exhaling a heavy breath through her nose as she folded her arms over her chest. She knew that, she just...She was scared, like the rest of them were. She didn't know how to cope with this other than fighting.
Snow lifted a hand, setting it on Lightning's shoulder. "Hey," he started softly. "We're gonna make it out of this. We did it the last time the odds were against us. We can do it again." At least, he believed so. And obviously so did the others, or they would have fled. They could do this.

"Right," Lightning said softly after a moment. She knew that they were all going to do their best to make it another day, and to come out the victors in the end. As long as that happened, she couldn't complain about the end result. She, her friends, and the other people of Cocoon would get revenge for their fallen citizens.
Snow patted Lightning's shoulder before removing his hand. "Now I suggest we get some rest," he said, looking at the others. They were all asleep now. "None of us will be sleeping too deeply anyway." They'd hear someone if they approached, since they were so on guard now. That meant Lightning could try her best to relax as well.

"Mm," Lightning hummed, nodding faintly while her eyes remained shut. You're right. ...Thanks, Snow. She would get as much rest as she could tonight and trust somebody else to be strong for a while. She couldn't be strong forever, after all. Nor did she want to be. She wanted to be able to depend on her friends.
Snow pushed himself up from the rock he was on, walking over to sit with his wife. He lowered himself next to her and carefully moved her so she was against him and his arm was around her shoulders. He would do his best to protect her through this. It was all he could do.

Lightning opened her eyes briefly to look over at Snow and Serah, but then she shut her eyes. This battle was far from over. In fact, this was only the beginning. She started thinking of her love now that she saw Snow with his. Serah told her Riku hadn't visited for a while, probably because he was busy. ...I wish you were with me. She fell asleep within a few minutes, the darkness of unconsciousness surrounding her.

A few days later

Hope followed Lightning's lead as they battled their way through various groups of soldiers. He heard someone cry out, but because he didn't recognize the scream, he knew it was one of the recruits that had fallen. They'd lost enough of them the past few days, and now he was sure that was the last one. He lifted his weapon in time to block a bullet, sending an attack right back. This was chaotic, but they had to keep going in order to win this. They couldn't give up now.

Lightning slashed through the last soldier after he tried to hurt Hope, the man falling. The young woman exhaled a breath and looked around, not seeing anything nearby within her sight. That was good; they needed to regather and prepare their next move. Fighting the soldiers wasn't doing anything; they needed to go after the people really responsible.

Snow looked around, standing with an arm out to protect Serah. He didn't see anyone at first, but then he caught something out of the corner of his eye. Looking up, he saw someone jumping down from a cliff above. "Heads up!" he cried.

Carson held his sword in his grasp, and he only had one target in mind for the moment. Farron. She was supposed to die in the Lindblum crash, but of course, she didn't settle for that death so easily. Well, now she was as good as dead.

Light followed Snow's gaze upward, surprised to see the man on top of the cliff. "What?" she said lowly in disbelief. This...isn't possible. She thought that Carter was just a snob, but if he was alive after Cocoon crashed, that meant that he was with the enemy. I should have known.

Carson was head-first as he fell from the cliff, but he rotated as he pulled a gun out of his belt. He then pointed it at Lightning. "Time's up, Farron!" he cried, pulling the trigger and releasing bullets. She couldn't escape him this time.

Lightning calmly shifted Paradigms, knowing now that she could use her magic against Carson. A shield appeared around her, blocking any bullets that came her way. She sensed Sazh and his son back up, and that was good. Everyone needs to get out of here. If Carson is a l'Cie, than he's much more dangerous than I ever thought.
Snow kept his arm in front of Serah, also taking a step back. He saw the soldier land, his eyes narrowing. "Carson?" he said in disbelief. An ex-soldier attacking one of the Corps. He's behind this... He has to be. It was the only thing that made sense. But...what about the l'Cie?

"Carson," Lightning spat, standing closer to the man than anybody in the group. She should have known that he would have something to do with this. She should have known that he would attack her now and side with the Fal'Cie. How long had he been acting out for their sake?

Carson only glared at Lightning, as well as the others. He saw Serah Farron, Lightning's sister, behind the leader of NORA. "So you dragged your sister into this, did you Farron?" he asked, looking back to the soldier. "You can never go down alone, can you? Always have to drag someone with you. Now you even have kids involved." He shook his head. "And they let you back into the Corps? Those idiots. They deserved to die."

Lightning felt her fury increase, her hard eyes staying locked on Carson. "You murdered them," she said lowly, not making it a question. "You did this, didn't you?!" He was going to pay. He would suffer her wrath for killing so many innocent people. And they really were innocent, because all they had wanted was to protect Cocoon. And now there was no Cocoon to protect.

Carson shrugged. "Was Amador on that ship with you, and any other person that stood against me in the trial?" he asked, though the answer was obvious. "You should have died too, but you never go easily. I guess I'll have to kill you personally." And he would. He was done with her attitude.

  • Author
Lightning grunted at the first question, certain things clicking in her mind. Even when he was suspended, Carson had the right friends to get certain people on board the Lindblum. Including her. He expected everyone on board the ship to die..."I don't die easily, especially not to traitors like you," she spat.
"And she won't be fighting alone!" Hope cried, marching forward and stopping so he was right next to Lightning. There was no way he was going to let this guy talk to her like that. She was one of his best friends and fighting partners. She wasn't going to battle Carson on her own.

Light glanced over at the young man beside her. Easy, Hope. He's dangerous. "Tell me this, 'lieutenant'," she said lowly, looking back to Carson. "How long have you been against your own people? And what are you planning on doing now?" She paused for only a second before she asked her next question. "It's The Maker, isn't it?" That was his goal; it had to be. The Maker, the creator of these worlds, would return if there was enough bloodshed. And that was what Carson and other villains like him were going around and creating.

Carson smiled. "You always were clever, Farron," he acknowledged, at the same time confirming her suspicions. The Maker was his goal, and as soon as more souls were taken, he would appear. This plan was guaranteed to work.

I'll kill you, Lightning thought in fury, growling. But she was clever, like Carson said. This was a war...Whatever blood was shed, whether it was on his side or on hers, each death would come closer to summoning The Maker. There's no stopping it. Serah...and Dajh, they both need to leave. This is the end. She curled her free hand into a fist, recalling one way to send people wherever they wanted to go. A Dark portal. The portal appeared over to the side, and she heard Dajh exclaim "Daddy!" in wonder, not in fright.
