Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Damn it, Lightning! Get up!" Riku roared, pulling at her arm again. They needed to get out of here before she died! That happened before, and he wasn't about to let it stay that way. She was coming with him, right now.

Lightning felt herself get dragged to her feet this time, though she wasn't balanced. She lifted her free hand and set it on the arm of the person who was ordering her around, her moist and startled eyes going to the mask that she couldn't see past. Slowly, recognition clicked in. I know you...
Riku briefly looked into Lightning's eyes, but then he heard a roar behind him. Glancing back, he saw the Maker was about ready to release an attack. He cursed under his breath before turning back to Lightning, bending down and throwing her over his shoulder. He then started running, summoning his Keyblade to one hand while he held Lightning over his shoulder with the other arm. They needed to get out of here right now.

Lightning suddenly felt herself get over Riku's shoulder, though this wasn't the Riku that she knew. He was...The Black Knight, the future version of Riku. "Put me down!" she hollered hoarsely, finally finding her voice. Put me down! Where are we going?! He just...He just tackled her and made her drop her friends, and now he was running with her over his shoulder. Through the shock, she didn't understand what was going on.
Riku ignored Lightning and kept running, though he did sense something coming at them. He stopped running and turned around, his eyes widening behind his mask when he saw the energy ray coming toward them. He held up his Keyblade and summoned a shield to surround them, though he winced at the strength behind it. As soon as this attack ended, he needed to go back to where he came from. The future.

Lightning squirmed in Riku's hold, pushing off against his back and forcing him to release her while he was focused on deflecting the Fal'Cie's attack. She fell on her butt in front of him, her whole body aching from the wounds she received in her recent battles. But her heart ached so much more. Even if Riku was here, from the future, she couldn't tear her mind away from her friends. The friends she just allowed to fall to their deaths.
Riku felt the attack cease, and he took that as his chance. He turned slightly, chucking his Keyblade straight ahead. Not only did it strike right through a soldier, but his glider was also summoned. He turned back to Lightning. "No time to explain," he told her, bending down to grab her wrist. But we have to go.

Light grunted when Riku yanked her to her feet roughly again. She heard what he had to say, but her head was spinning, and she was stubborn. And lost...she was so lost. "Riku," she managed to say. Carson, and then...the Maker, and then...her friends...Hope, Snow, and Sazh, I just...let them go...
Riku felt himself getting impatient, and seeing that the Maker was powering up another attack, it grew even worse. "Do you want to die?!" he cried, yelling at her from behind his mask. They didn't have time for twenty questions right now! They had to leave Gran Pulse!

Lightning's lips slowly parted at the yell and at the question, her eyes growing more moist as they stayed locked on the mask of the person clinging to her wrist. I deserve to. They were depending on me, and I just... She was feeling the grief, everything too fresh for her. Her friends--no, her family--were dead because of her.
Riku grunted with impatience, then leaning down and throwing Lightning over his shoulder again. "We don't have time for this!" he cried, turning around and starting to run for his glider. They had to make it back.

Lightning grunted in pain when Riku threw her over his shoulder, her wounds still terrible. You're not the same as I once knew you, she thought, squeezing her eyes shut in heartbreak. She closed a fist around his cape, not knowing how much longer her moisture would stay in her eyes. They were dead. The people she cared about were dead.
Riku continued running, approaching his glider in seconds. He'd gotten faster over the past seven years, and it was coming in handy now. He set Lightning down on the glider before he climbed on, trusting her to hold on. They weren't just leaving the world; they were going seven years into the future.

Lightning grunted when she was sitting, sitting so her legs were both on one side and she was practically in Riku's lap. She knew that if she didn't do the obvious--hold onto him--then he would yell at her in a second to make her do it. She lifted a hand and set it on his shoulder across from her, grip tight. Why are you doing this...?
Riku looked past Lightning and summoned a portal, one that would take them from this world and put them in the Land of Departure seven years later. He took off with Lightning in his lap, leaving the destruction and chaos behind. They soared quickly through the time continuum, everything brightening as they got closer to their destination.

Light squeezed her eyes shut at the brightness, and how...lightweight, she felt going through this vortex. I remember this feeling... She had gone through a time vortex twice in her life--once after Warp dragged her through, and the other time when she was on her way back to her present time. Riku...he's taking me to...
The white light turned into a blue sky as Riku's glider appeared in the Land of Departure. He slowed his glider so it was at a calmer pace, the young man lowering it until they were in front of the castle. It was then that he set it on the ground, a sigh escaping his lips as he closed his eyes behind his mask. He did it... He saved Lightning.

Lightning opened her eyes when the air changed, and when she felt Riku set down the glider. She turned her head and looked over at the castle, her lips parting slightly at the castle that looked like new. She felt like her knees were weak, even if she wasn't standing on them. She didn't know how to react to this...This...future. She wasn't in the same year she was just five minutes ago, she knew that much.
Riku opened his eyes after a minute, allowing his armor to fade as he continued to sit on his glider with Lightning. His aqua eyes could see her more clearly now, especially since his hair wasn't in his eyes. It was the same length that he had it before she left for the Lindblum, and he was just as strong. He wore a navy blue t-shirt and jeans as well, and he could feel Lightning's tight grip on his shoulder through the fabric. She was so scared, but it was okay now. She was with him again.

Lightning felt Riku's gaze on her, but she didn't return it. She released his buff shoulder and got off the bike, ignoring her weak knees as she walked a few steps away from Riku. She kept her back to him and lifted a hand to her head, needing a minute. No; she needed much more than that. She needed to go back. She needed to save them! Somehow!
Riku got off his glider, allowing it to disappear behind him as he gazed at Lightning. He didn't say anything, finding it obvious that she was upset. But...there was nothing that could have been done but to save her. If he didn't...she would have died. He couldn't lose her...not again.

Light shut her eyes, keeping her hand to her head as she tried sorting this out. The earth cracked, and her friends were about to fall in when she saved them. She had been holding onto them when the Maker was about to attack, and she knew that it would be the death of her. But Riku, he-- She swallowed at the thought. He tackled her, forced her to release her friends, and saved her. "Why did you...?" she trailed off weakly.
Riku thought the answer was obvious, but he answered anyway. "I had to," he said then, his eyebrows furrowing slightly. He couldn't live without Lightning, and the past seven years... They had been miserable. He swore he would find a way to save her, and he did. He succeeded.

"But..." But my family. Hope, Snow, and Sazh. All of them fell to their deaths because you stopped me, Lightning thought. She opened her eyes, her lips parting in realization. It wasn't because of her that her friends died. It was because of him...
"But nothing," Riku said with a small shake of his head. "I did what I had to, and that was saving you." In the past, when he got to Gran Pulse too late... He was devastated. He hadn't moved on, and he never would. He had been determined to find a way to go back to her and rescue her, and he did just that.
