Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Instead of grief and sorrow, Lightning suddenly felt rage. She spun around to face Riku, her hands curling into fists by her sides. "At what cost, Riku?! You made me drop them! You made them fall to their deaths!!" How could he justify this?! She wouldn't. She refused to make her life hold more value than three of theirs put together.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little more at the outcries, but he remained calm. "I wasn't going to lose you," he told her. He couldn't lose Lightning. She was supposed to come back after three months, but she never did. He had to go get her himself.

"So you killed them to save me, is that it?" Lightning spat, feeling her eyes grow moist in anger, frustration, and sorrow. Not only were her friends dead, but Riku didn't care! She could see that apathetic look on his face right now. He didn't care that they were dead as long as she was alive...How sick.
"They would have died anyway!" Riku said, raising his voice ever so slightly. "It wouldn't have made a difference if you were there or not!" He couldn't change their fates, but he could have changed hers. In his eyes, it was worth it, even if she was furious with him.

"Then I should have died with them!" Lightning cried. "What makes me so special that I have the right to live but they don't?!" Nothing. She was no better than any of her friends; she was no greater worth than they were. They had just as much a right to live, but they didn't have that choice now. They were dead.
Riku's hands balled into tight fists, his jaw flexing, but he couldn't help his outcry. "You were dead the past seven years, Lightning!" he hollered, his voice echoing around the area as his fury was finally shown. His heartbreak... His sorrow. He couldn't live without her. Couldn't she see that?

"You think I didn't realize that by now?!" Lightning practically shouted. She was no fool, even if she was still clueless and lost about so much. "I realized I was about to die as soon as I saw the Maker look at me. But I wasn't selfish enough to abandon my friends to save my own skin!" If she lived after abandoning her friends like that, the guilt would have been unbearable. She would have wished for death.
Riku's eyes hardened. "I could only save you!" he said, taking a step forward. "There was nothing I could have done for them." He would have helped if he could, but...there was just no way. He hadn't gotten there in time in the past, and he didn't get there in time now. It was just how it was meant to be, or so he thought.

Lightning flexed her jaw, her defiant eyes locked on Riku's. "I refuse to believe that," she said, her voice lower than before. She refused to believe that her friends were beyond saving. She had a hold of them! Hope slipped right from her fingers, and now all she had a hold of was despair.
"Well, believe it," Riku said, his eyes on Lightning's. He'd missed those eyes for so long, and he was happy to see them even if they were full of sorrow and hatred. He understood that she was grieving, and he felt bad. But...he worked too hard for this. He wasn't going to take her back just so she could die. "It's the way things are."

"No," Lightning said through her teeth, turning her head and glaring at something else. She shut her eyes briefly before she opened them again, forcing herself to calm a little bit. "I changed the future before, and I'll do it again." She'd create a future where her friends survived. She would do it or die trying.
"I wouldn't be too sure of that," Riku said, remembering the watch that was on his wrist. He started forward, walking a few steps before passing Lightning. She wasn't going to change anything about the future, not without him. He was the one that had the ability to change it in the first place.

Lightning reached out and grabbed Riku's wrist when he was a step past her, her eyes going up to his face while it was within sight. "What's that supposed to mean?" she asked lowly. He wasn't going to let her even try to save her friends? No, he wouldn't...He knew that she would give her life for them if she needed to.
Riku looked back, meeting Lightning's hard gaze. "You're not going anywhere," he said. "Not while this thing is on my wrist." He held up the opposite wrist, showing her the watch. She was stuck here until he gave her permission to go.

Lightning looked over to the wrist, blinking at the familiar looking watch. It was just like the one that Warp had, the one that helped him travel through time. The soldier kept her eyes on it, wheels spinning in her head. Okay. While you have it, I'm not going anywhere. So I'll steal if from you. As soon as I have a plan.
Riku saw the look on Lightning's face, and he could imagine the wheels turning in her head. "Don't get any ideas," he said, pulling his wrist from her grasp as he lowered the other. She wasn't getting a hold of this thing; he worked too hard on it to have it stolen off the spot.

Light's hand went back to her side, her gaze also shifting from the watch to the bottom of the stairs in front of the castle. Too late, she suddenly thought to Riku. The solution wasn't here in the future; she needed to go back and save her friends when they were still alive. She needed that watch.
"Be happy you're alive," Riku said then, his eyebrows furrowing as he looked at Lightning. But then he started walking, looking ahead. "I know Ven probably is." He'd been mourning the loss for years now, since Lightning was all he had left. To know she was alive... He'd be relieved, he was sure of it.

Light flinched at the mention of her younger brother, though he was now older than she was. "What do you expect me to do!?" she hollered at Riku, moisture reappearing in her eyes. He just kidnapped her to this time period and was walking away from her. What did he hope to gain out of this?! She was better off dead.
"What I brought you here to do," Riku said, approaching the stairs before glancing over his shoulder. "Live." He didn't bring her here to have her suffer, or for her to do nothing. He brought her here so she could live, alongside him and the others.

"How am I supposed to do that when I feel so dead inside?!" Lightning cried. She wanted to sob, but she didn't want to be vulnerable. Not in front of this...stranger. She didn't know Riku anymore. The Riku she knew would never accept the death of others so easily, even for her sake. Her friends were dead so she could live...It wasn't right.
Riku stopped walking at that, one foot on top of a stair, the other on a different one. He turned around a little to look at Lightning, but he wasn't sure how to answer that question. Everytime he said something, she got more upset. By the look in her eyes and the moisture...he knew that was the truth. "...Ask someone else," he told her. "You're not appreciating the help I give you, so why should I give you an answer?"

"You want me to appreciate your help when you make me send my friends to their deaths?!" Lightning cried out. "You want me to appreciate being kidnapped and told not to grieve the death of my friends, because they would have died anyway? You want me to appreciate that you're not giving me any freedom to save them?!" Unbelievable!
"What about the rest of us?" Riku said, his eyebrows furrowing over his aqua eyes. "Were we just supposed to accept that you were dead?!" She couldn't possibly expect him to accept that. He couldn't, which was why he went back to get her.

Light lifted a hand to her face, covering her eyes. If I was supposed to die that day, then yes, you were supposed to accept it. I just...don't know what to do... She was so hopelessly lost. "...I would have expected you of all people to find another way," she whispered, though she was sure he couldn't hear her. She would have expected him to find a way where everyone lived.
