Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku kept his eyes on Lightning, despite the fact that she wasn't looking at him. She's so...ungrateful. "...Your feelings aren't the only ones to be considered here," he told her then, his voice hard and tight with anger and sorrow. She wasn't happy to be here, after all he went through... Riku turned, starting up the stairs again. He didn't want to stick around for this.

Lightning looked up at Riku, removing her hand from her eyes. "Riku, I know," she said weakly. She just...He had no idea what Hell she went through the past few days. He had no idea how it felt to be suddenly torn away from her friends to a place where her beloved was no longer the person she fell in love with. He had no idea how it felt to be this alone. She realized he had feelings too, but he wasn't seriously considering hers.
Riku kept climbing the stairs, even if he did pick up on what Lightning said. She didn't want to be saved... It was clear as day to him now. She wanted to die. She wanted to be away from him and Ven, and Serah... I can't think about this, he told himself, running a hand over his silver hair. I have an apprentice to train.

Lightning saw that Riku wasn't going to respond, so she turned around and started walking away from the building. She had no clue where she was going, or how long she could go before her wounds needed treatment. She just knew that she couldn't stay here and break down, where nobody would accept her grief. Not even Riku.
Riku approached the large double doors to the castle, though he did stop and look back at Lightning. Upon seeing her going in the other direction, he released a sigh and closed his eyes. Sorry, he thought silently. He stood there for a minute before he walked inside, the door shutting behind him. "Hey, Ven!" he hollered, knowing his voice would echo around the castle. "Light's here!"

Ven blinked at the call, just in the other room playing a video game when he heard the call. He dropped it immediately and went for the entrance, his eyes finding Riku. "What?!" he shouted. He could not have just heard Riku right. He knew that his friend was working on something, but he didn't think it would actually work!
Riku nodded, his eyes still hard from his previous conversation. He jabbed a thumb over his shoulder. "Outside," he called to him. She may not have been directly outside, but she was definitely out there.

Ventus found himself smiling, not catching onto Riku's tone. He laughed once and shoved the doors open when he was by them, looking outside. "Lightning!" he called. But then his smile faded. There was no sign of her anywhere. He looked over and gave Riku a confused look. Where is she?
Riku's eyes had followed Ven when he opened the doors, and he saw his look. "She walked off," he told him then. "Keep looking. You'll find her." He smiled ever so slightly at Light's brother before he turned around, going to look for Sora and Kairi.

She walked off? Ven thought with an arched brow. That didn't make sense; she didn't know this place. There was nobody to walk off to. But then he suddenly realized she didn't just walk away. "Riku," he said, standing still and looking outside. He sensed Darkness, and because of how much he trained in the past few years, he knew that a dark portal had just been here a minute ago. A long while ago, soon after Lightning died, Serah told them the Lightning used such a portal. Did she...?
"Yeah?" Riku asked, stopping and turning around. What did Ven need? If he was wondering where she ran off to, Riku couldn't tell him. He didn't know himself. Besides, Light probably didn't want him to know. He wasn't exactly someone she wanted to see at the moment.

"Don't you sense there was just a dark portal here?" Ven asked with an arched brow, looking over at Riku. Riku always had a great sense of the darkness, and on this world, it was easy to sense any imbalance. There was just a portal of Darkness here, and Lightning was nowhere in sight. He may have just been paranoid, but he wasn't prepared to lose Lightning again. And he was sure Riku would be the same way.
Riku heard the words, which caused him to lift a hand to his forehead. "This is not happening..." he muttered to himself. Lightning used a Dark Portal? Riku lowered his hand and started toward the door, going past Ven and starting down the stairs. "Come with me, Ven. She won't listen to me." When they found Lightning, she would need to see someone else to calm her down. She wasn't happy with Riku right now.

Ven followed Riku, though he didn't quite understand what was going on. "Where're we going?" he asked. And why would Lightning leave after Riku saved her? Did he tell her about Serah? Maybe she was ticked off about that. Serah...She died alongside Dajh a few years ago. Any living person from Cocoon or Gran Pulse was hunted down by the Fal'Cie, because the Maker didn't want any evidence of his failed creation the worlds. Ven and his friends had failed to protect Serah.
"Gran Pulse," Riku said over his shoulder, summoning his Keyblade and throwing it forward to summon his glider. They didn't have much of a choice but to follow her. Lightning was being incredibly reckless, and in her state, she would die. He wasn't about to let that happen again.

Ventus nodded, frowning as he summoned his armor and his glider. He hadn't been to Gran Pulse for years, not since he and his friends went to try and figure out what happened to Lightning and her friends. He didn't want to go to that place, but if Lightning was there, then that was where he was going to go.

Lightning walked the vast wasteland that was once Gran Pulse, an arm across her stomach and a hand on her side. This was the place that it all happened, the place that she fought years ago. Or really, just an hour ago. She shivered, stepping over a small crack in the ground. Up ahead, she saw the fragments of a crystal figure. She walked over to it and knelt down by what was left of it, her eyebrows furrowing. Can this really be...Carson? The area looks so different... But it was him. She just knew it.

After summoning his armor and climbing aboard his glider, Riku and Ventus made their way to Gran Pulse's wasteland, the former calling to a portal so they could enter the world. It was just as he remembered it, all those years ago. It was still in ruins, still a mess. And Lightning was somewhere below, he just knew it.

Light turned around, walking a few feet to see the large crack in the ground. "This is it," she murmured, memories flashing before her mind. Not that they ever left her mind for a split second. She knelt down and looked down into the crack, seeing absolutely no signs of life. No signs that a ground was close, and no signs that there was anything a person could take a hold of if they fell deeper down. So, they really... They really died. There was no way they survived.
Riku tightened his grip on the bars of his glider, lowering his vessel to get a closer look. He was ticked. Why would Lightning be so stupid as to run off on her own, and use a Dark Portal of all things? She was definitely not on his good side today, but he was sure the feeling was mutual.

Lightning lowered her head, resting her arm on the knee that she had held up. They're dead, and I have no way to save them. No way to save my family... She shut her eyes, starting to cry silently. I can't believe this. After all the work we went through... "I thought you said we'd make it, Hero," she whispered softly to Snow, though he couldn't hear her. Not anymore.
Riku scanned the area below, though he caught sight of something near a big gash in the ground. "...Got her," he said, starting to lower his glider once he was sure it was Lightning. She wasn't as sneaky as she thought she was, unless she wasn't trying to be sneaky at all.

Lightning's tears kept falling, her body trembling with the sobs. And Hope, you told me not to give up either, and that I could fall back on you. She choked back a sob. And Sazh...You and that stupid chocobo always tried to make me laugh whenever I was feeling down. You all took care of me and I couldn't take care of you... She was so incredibly sorry.
Riku summoned his glider away after her jumped off of it, falling a safe distance before landing on his feet. His armor faded away as he looked on at the woman he loved, seeing her position. Not good, he thought, his eyebrows furrowing.

Light heard the noise behind her, but she couldn't still her sobs. She couldn't stop herself from blubbering like a baby, though she wished that she could; the jerks from the sobs were making her wounds hurt even worse. But no hurt could compare to that of her heart. Even if she didn't lose her life, she felt like she lost everything. Including Riku. She knew she had Ven though, who had separated from Riku to search for her. But he'd be over soon.
Riku started over, but his steps slowed when he heard Lightning's sobs. "...Light," he said softly. Maybe...he shouldn't have been so hard on her. But, why would she run off like this?! Didn't she understand that she was scaring him every second she was away?
