Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Yeah, I'm okay," Sora said with a weak nod. It was nothing out of the ordinary...He was used to it by now. But, of course, that didn't make them any more pleasant.
Kairi tilted her head a little, staying where she was. If anything, Sora looked a little...relieved to be awake. But still, she knew that wasn't good; she had been that way after all. It was awful.

"...This is normal," Sora said softly, trying to reassure them that he was used to it by now. He looked down at the ground, feeling sad when he realized what he said was true. He was used to being terrified every time he woke up.
Kairi looked over at Riku then. "Told you," she said. She said Sora wasn't very elaborate on things, and he often tried to ease their worries when it involved his own problems. She wasn't okay with it, and she was sure Riku wasn't either.

Sora looked over to Kairi, instantly confused. "What?" he asked, though he knew that she was speaking to Riku. What had she told him?
Riku only sighed, bringing two fingers to the bridge of his nose. He was getting a headache because this was so complicated... "Kairi," he said. "That's his normal behavior."

Sora looked back to Riku, and though he was still confused as to what the two of them were talking about. What did he mean about his normal behavior? What was he doing that was normal?

Kairi tucked her hair behind her ear and frowned, crossing her arms over her chest. "So? That doesn't make it okay," she said quietly, though her voice was still firm. "I don't like it."

"Did you tell him that?" Riku asked, motioning to Sora. He understood what she was saying, but still...

"Yes I did," Kairi said with a nod. "But..." She didn't really know. She didn't like that Sora always tried to assure them of things when they were obviously not alright.

"Either of you want to fill me in here?" Sora asked, eyebrows furrowed slightly in confusion. Clearly they were talking about him, but he was having trouble figuring out what they kept referring to. What had Kairi told him...?

Kairi looked to Sora, seeing his expression after the question. She then looked at Riku, who met her eyes. But then she turned her head away. She wasn't going to tell him.

Riku shook his head, rolling his eyes. "Kairi kept insisting that I leave you alone," he explained shortly. "That was for two reasons. One, you're brief with explanations. And two, you try too hard to reassure us. She doesn't like it, obviously. But honestly, I could care less. I'm dragging information out of you, because we need to know what's going on."

Sora blinked at Riku's declaration, and he wished that he could take his question back. Riku dragging things out of him was never a pleasant process, and with a topic like this, it was going to be even more painful. He looked down towards the ground, not knowing what to say to that.
"Now that you're up to speed," Riku said, staring at Sora, "start explaining. And make it lengthy this time." If there was one thing he didn't like, it was being out of the loop. Sora needed to fill him in; what Kairi had been told wasn't enough.
  • Author
"Uh..." Sora automatically said, glancing up at Kairi in hopes of having her get Riku to back off. But by Riku just said, he knew that it wasn't going to happen. Once he had his mind set on something, Riku never changed his mind.
Kairi felt Sora's gaze on her, and she avoided it on purpose. She already got into a small squabble with Riku. Even if she was stubborn enough to win, they were over here now weren't they? That was proof enough that she couldn't get through to him.

Sora looked back to Riku, not really knowing how to explain in depth what was going on. "I'm having nightmares?" he said, though it came out as a question. What more did he have to know?
"Elaborate," Riku said. Who was in the nightmares? What exactly occurred during them? What about the Keyblade was so important in them? The list was endless.
  • Author
"Uh," Sora said again, looking down to the ground in thought. "It's just...reliving when I lost the Keyblade," he said, telling Riku the same thing that he had told Kairi. What; did Riku want him to spell out the situation for him?

"Vanitas anywhere in that dream?" Riku asked, arching an eyebrow. Sora lost the Keyblade during his fight with the Sentiment. It would only make sense, and it would be a little ironic.

Kairi closed her eyes. She hated that name; it gave her the creeps, just as the person himself did.

  • Author
"Yeah," Sora confirmed with a weak nod, looking up at Riku. But that was just coincidence; Vanitas was dead, and he couldn't haunt anybody in dreams anymore.
Riku lowered his sight to the sand. "Figured as much..." he said. Vanitas was gone, so it wasn't Vanitas causing the nightmares. It was the loss of the Keyblade itself, which was pretty self-explanatory. But still...there had to be something behind these dreams...
  • Author
"You know that doesn't hold any significance," Sora said, not making it a question as he looked to Riku again. "So why bother asking about it?" He really didn't want to talk about any of this; it hurt to think about what happened with his Keyblade.
Riku gave Sora a look. "It's ironic, and it does hold significance. You lost your Keyblade fighting him," he pointed out. That was what was significant about it.
  • Author
This isn't about Vanitas, though, Sora thought, looking down at the ground. It's about the Keyblade. Losing it was one his worst nightmares, too terrible for him to ever imagine until it actually happened. It was awful.
"Do you have any ideas on how to get it back?" Riku asked after a small silence. Even the smallest ideas would help... But still, nothing was really guaranteed.
  • Author
"None," Sora responded, frowning. He had no idea on how to get it again, and with each passing day, it seemed less and less likely that he would ever have it again.
