Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning watched as Terrian didn't hesitate, the teen running over to the kid on the ground. He restrained him and pointed his Keyblade at his neck, and Lightning knew that the fight was now over. He uses brute force to shove his enemies around, much like his Master. At the thought of Riku, Light looked over at him. ...You trained him well.

Skylar stiffened at the Keyblade at his neck, his blue eyes looking up at Terrian. They narrowed from their widened state. "You win," he said, breathing heavily from the fight. "Again." How did he do that, anyway?

Riku smirked, unaware of the gaze on him as he looked over at his best friend beside him. "Better luck next time," he said, patting his friend's shoulder. He had to admit, he was very proud of Terrian. He did well, as always.

"Hmph," Sora hummed with a smirk, nudging Riku with his arm. "Don't worry; if those two are just like us, then Skylar will be kicking Terrian's butt in the future." Of course, Sora was implying that right now, he was always winning fights against Riku. Skylar and Terrian were much like Sora and Riku were when they were fourteen and fifteen, so if they had a similar future, Sora believed Skylar would come out on top (jokingly, of course).
Riku rolled his eyes, releasing a faint laugh as he took his hand back from Sora's shoulder. Instead, he started toward his apprentice, the same smirk still on his face. Good work, kid.

Terrian's Keyblade was now gone, the teen having just helped Skylar off the ground. Not bad, he thought, his breathing starting to even out as the adrenaline faded. It was a good fight, and he had to admit that if Skylar was skipping training, it wasn't reflected in that fight. Someday, Skylar might have been a real competitor against him. But not today.

Skylar nodded to his best friend, smiling softly in good nature. He was always a good sport, whether he was going against Hallie or Terrian. Besides, they were his best friends. The boy tore his gaze away from Terrian to look at his Master, lifting a hand to scratch his cheek as he smiled sheepishly. Sorry...

"Does that make up for training today?" Riku asked with a lifted eyebrow, approaching his student and stopping beside him. He set a hand on the boy's shoulder, looking down at him. He did well. Really well, actually. Not that he expected anything less; Terrian was incredibly serious about becoming a Master.

Sora just shook his head and smiled at his apprentice. No reason to be sorry, Skylar. You did well. He just needed more experience with fighting before he could defeat Terrian at any time he wanted. Regardless of win or loss, Sora was proud of his student.

"Guess so," Terrian said with a half-smile, looking over at his Master. I had the chance to beat Skylar, so I'd say yeah, that made up for the lack of training. He didn't care about that anymore, but he did care about the young woman standing in the doorway. The look in her eyes before, whenever he caught a glimpse of them...He saw death. He knew the look well, since it dulled his green eyes for so long. Maybe that's what's so off about her...

Riku's smirk remained, the young man nodding. "Good work," he said. He was proud of his student, and tomorrow they would pick up where they left off with the training yesterday. First, he just had to get past a few things...and get certain people out of his head.

"Thanks, Master," Terrian said with a small nod. He had to stop thinking about that girl. He knew it was none of his business, but...He didn't like it when things happened behind his back. So until he found out the truth, he would have to snoop around a little bit, and be careful around his Master. He hadn't even said anything about the girl, but he was protective of her. Extremely so.
Kairi watched from where she stood, seeing the two Masters interact with their students. There was a special bond between them, one that couldn't be broken so easily. She hoped nothing got in the way of that. Over the past year or so, Riku and Terrian had gotten really close. Terrian didn't have his parents, and Riku didn't have his lover. It was a mutual agreement not to talk about either thing, but it was something they could relate to each other about.

Lightning glanced down at the ground briefly, realizing that nobody recognized her presence except Terrian earlier. I don't belong here, she thought. I belong in the grave, even if that's the last place that I want to be. She was grieving the loss of her world and her family, and the grief was so deep she hadn't even pieced together that her sister wasn't with her now. She would find out soon what happened, most likely. She turned and started out of the room, knowing that her bedroom was right next door to Riku's. I need sleep.
Everyone dispersed after the battle between Skylar and Terrian, some going to lay their children down while others went to talk in the castle lounge before going to bed. Riku was beat, considering he had been staying up late at night to work on the watch, and when he did get it to work, he didn't sleep much so he could go get Lightning. Saving her was somewhat tiring, as was the tension and drama included in the aftermath. Riku started down the hall of the west wing, heading for his room so he could get some rest. He would tackle more of the problems tomorrow.

Light was already unconscious, despite how she hadn't been in bed for too long. She was utterly exhausted. She had planned on taking Riku's watch while he was sleeping tonight so that she could save her friends, but she didn't have the energy to sneak by him. She had mentally apologized to her friends, who wouldn't have known of the wasted time anyway, before she crawled into bed in her normal clothes except for the sword, the bag on her leg, and her boots. She was too tired to strip down any further.
Riku ran a hand through his hair, releasing a small sigh as he walked down the hallway. He approached his bedroom door, but then he saw that the door to the room next to his was left open ever so slightly. Was...Lightning staying in there? Riku couldn't help himself as he approached the door and lightly pushed it open. It was dark, but that didn't affect his vision. He saw the woman he still loved in her bed, unconscious. ...Light.

Light didn't hear the door open, too out of it to sense anything out of the ordinary. It had been nearly a week since she slept in an actual bed, where she had a pillow instead of a rock to rest her head on. She almost wished, though, that she would wake up covered in dew again tomorrow and realize she was on Gran Pulse. This future was a nightmare for her, even if her friends here were alive.
Riku glanced behind him to see that no one was coming before he stepped further into the room, shutting the door quietly behind him. He hadn't held Lightning once since she'd been here. He'd barely touched her today, and not at all in the last seven years. The love of my life is right there, he thought, taking a small step toward the bed. Could he really just...hold her for a while? Would it be okay?

Lightning remained deeply unconscious, laying on her side and curled up a little bit beneath the blankets. Even then, she felt so cold...But she knew that the coldness was of her heart. Hope was lost, at least as a physical person. No matter how grieved Light was by the deaths of her family, she wasn't going to accept that they were gone. She would bring them back...somehow.
Just for a minute, Riku convinced himself. That was all he needed, not wanted. He wanted to hold her for a lifetime, but he didn't feel that those desires were returned. He approached the bed anyway, gazing down at Lightning before he crawled in behind her. He couldn't stay long, so he didn't get under the covers with her. He laid his head down on the pillow behind hers, keeping his eyes on her as he draped and arm over her side and rested it on her stomach. It had been so long...too long, since he'd done this. It felt...foreign.

Light exhaled a soft breath when she felt warmth against her back, though she didn't wake up in the slightest because of it. She was out cold, and she would be this way at least the rest of the night. There was no telling how late she would sleep in tomorrow, too. She didn't expect anyone to wake her.
When Lightning didn't wake up, Riku assumed he was safe. Because of that, he relaxed his hold and just lay there. I'm sorry, for everything, he thought silently, feeling Lightning breathe underneath his arm. I just couldn't lose you again. If he did...he would have lost himself.

Light continued breathing evenly, her soft pink bangs over her closed eyes. Her facial expression didn't express the sorrow or grief she felt; it was just blank, since she was completely exhausted. She hadn't slept comfortably for a long, long time. The last time was probably when she was in Riku's arms...Before the Lindblum.
Riku closed his eyes after a little bit, feeling like his energy was drained from every part of his body. Today was a rough day, for multiple reasons. All he wanted was just to rest...with Light. He would just lie here for a while, but if he rested for longer than he intended, he would get up as soon as possible. He was an early riser anyway. When the sun rose, so did he.

Claire gently rolled over on the bed, turning onto her side as she faced the person who now held her. Her face was right by his, though she didn't realize it. If she did...She wouldn't have known what to do. She loved Riku...But this Riku? She didn't know him, or so she thought. She thought he must have been completely different if he accepted that everything was okay as long as Light was alive.
Riku felt the motion, and he opened his eyes to see the face he'd missed for the past seven years. Light...he thought softly, moving his hand from her back to tuck some of her hair away from her face. His fingertips lightly went over her smooth skin, and he couldn't help but stare. She was so beautiful, just like he remembered her.

Lightning thought she felt fingertips run over her skin, that touch tickling her face a little to wake her up. But not too much, since she was so out of it right before Riku performed the gesture. It had been a long time since she felt that gentle touch, but much longer for the person in front of her, who held onto her even after she screamed at him earlier.
