Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning stood up when Riku did, hearing his steps as he started to go. "Wait," she said without turning around. She had something to ask him. She needed to know something, and if Riku was as blunt as he used to be, he would tell her straight-up what happened. ...She needed to know what happened to her sister.
Riku stopped, turning around a little to look at Lightning. "Hm?" he hummed softly, wondering what she wanted. Want me to stay away? Never look at you again? Apologize a million times on my knees?

"I gave you your moment, and I only ask one thing in return," Lightning said, turning around and looking at Riku. She felt her hands curl into fists by her sides, because the topic she was going to bring up could be either really good or bad. "I want the truth...about Serah." What happened to her? Ven hasn't brought her up once...
Riku grunted slightly at the name, having not spoken it in years. He turned his head away and frowned, closing his eyes. He blamed himself for what happened to Serah; he hadn't protected her like he vowed upon Light's death. He knew that she wanted her to be kept safe...and Dajh. Riku's hands curled into fists, not speaking for the moment. Ven should do this. Not me.

Lightning saw Riku's expression change, and that alone gave it away. She turned away, her hands curling into tighter fists. So...Serah is...gone, too. I just...thought maybe she... "Did she suffer?" she asked weakly. She didn't need to know the details. She just needed to know her baby sister didn't face some horrible death full of pain and sorrow.
"No," Riku said softly, keeping his position. "It was quick." He got there seconds too late. He and Ven were both devastated at the loss, and they would never forgive themselves for leaving Serah so unprotected. Those lowlifes of gunmen just...took her. She was so innocent, too.

Light nodded tensely, her back still to Riku as her tears started forming. She gritted her teeth and fought the urge to scream. Serah was taken away too. She didn't suffer, but she was still dead. That was enough motivation for the solider to swear and suddenly punch the wall, nearly breaking through it because of the raw force. She didn't break the wall, but she did break her hand.
Riku's eyes opened at the swear and sound, his gaze immediately falling on the victim. She was a victim, which he realized in full right now. "Light," he tried, taking a small step forward. But he knew she wouldn't want to hear it. She would either want Ven or to be alone. She wouldn't want him. Not after all the loss he caused her.

Light lowered her throbbing hand, not doing anything about it. She kept her jaw locked and eyes shut tightly to keep the moisture inside. The broken hand only made her want to cry more, but if she started shedding tears, she would start sobbing as well. That wasn't about to happen in front of Riku.
"...I'm sorry. We...we were too late," Riku said softly, though not in his defense. He was saying it because he wanted her to know that they all tried to save Serah. Time was never on their side, however, because they lost Dajh as well. So many people died...and Riku felt responsible. Maybe I am.

Lightning heard Riku's words, and how he was genuinely sorry, but she wasn't looking for an apology. She was looking for a way to set things right. "Give me the watch," she said tightly. Give me the watch so that I can go back to fix this. Let me save my sister!
"What?" Riku said in shock, his eyebrows furrowing. The watch... He looked down at his wrist, seeing that it was still in place. Lightning wanted the watch to go back, didn't she? He...couldn't do that. He just couldn't.

"Let me save my family," Lightning said slowly, speaking through her teeth because of pain and fury. I refuse to let things stay this way. We have the power to change it! If we stand here and do nothing, then we're just as guilty as their murderers. And who was she blaming for their deaths? She had a right to blame Riku for the friends she dropped, but she really blamed the Maker. And she didn't know about Serah, but she would find out.
"...Light, we can talk about this, okay?" Riku said, not answering outright but dodging the request. He couldn't give her the watch. She would kill herself! He couldn't allow that to happen, not after the past seven years of grieving and mourning.

"I'm done talking," Lightning said, turning around and starting towards Riku. "My family's dead, and now I have the chance to set things right. I'm taking action, now." And if that came along with taking the watch, then that was fine. It didn't matter to her what happened as long as she got the watch. When she had it, she would have the power to correct whatever mistakes happened in the past.
Riku's eyes narrowed upon hearing Lightning's tone and seeing her approach. "No," he said simply. She wasn't getting the watch, by his will or by force. She was staying here, where she was safe. And that was the end of it.

Light stopped right in front of Riku, not intimidated by how tall he was or how much bigger he was than her. He wouldn't hurt her. She held out her uninjured hand for the item that she expected to receive. "I'm not taking no for an answer," she said simply. So hand it over.
Riku glanced down at the outstretched hand before him. He then looked back up at Lightning's face. "I said no, whether you like it or not," he told her. She wasn't getting a hold of his creation, not after all he went through. Things could only get better from here. Lightning would still be safe if she stayed.

"Well clearly I don't like that," Lightning said lowly. She glared at Riku for a second before she turned her hand and suddenly reached for the watch, though she didn't know if she expected to succeed or not. If she did, what would she do? She didn't have a plan. She didn't even know what time to go back to in order to save Serah...
Riku easily moved his arm in time, at the same time taking a step back. "Lightning," he said in warning. She wouldn't do this; she wouldn't get a hold of the watch he worked so hard to create. He made it for her, didn't she see that? He made it to save her, and then protect her.

"Riku!" Lightning snapped in frustration, taking another quick step forward and reaching for the watch with her broken hand. Just give me the darn thing! He had the watch to save her, somebody he loved. How could he be so unwilling to let her use the same power to save the people she loved? It was ridiculous!
Riku's eyes narrowed, his reflexes on point. He grabbed Lightning's wrist and twisted her arm, then pressing her back against the wall so she was looking at him. He made sure to do this firmly, as to get his point across, but he would never do it to hurt her. He couldn't imagine doing such a thing.

Light closed her lips to quiet the small cry of pain from Riku touching her broken hand, though she felt more angry than pained. She glared up at his narrowed eyes, hers showing nothing but seriousness and anger. He wouldn't give up the watch, and he wouldn't give up his current hold on her either, not while she was clearly after his possession. That was such a stupid move on my part. I should have known his reflexes were even better than they had been before... What was he going to do now?
"Enough," Riku growled, staring at Lightning with disappointment and disapproval. She wasn't getting the watch, and by her position, he was sure she understood that by now. If she continued to pursue it, he would have to take desperate measures.

Lightning's glare stayed intense, her eyes piercing Riku's. How dare you use that tone of voice with me? I want to save lives! I want to save my family! How dare you keep me from something like this...And how dare you threaten me after all you've done? You're the one that got this all rolling! She had to blame him...He was only continuing to be the bad guy to her.
