Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"I'm five times stronger and faster than the last time you saw me," Riku said lowly, his eyes staring into Lightning's with less anger and more disapproval. "You have to get to know your enemies before you go for the kill, isn't that right soldier?" He was done with playing nice. He wasn't going to deal with this hatred any longer.

"So you're my enemy now," Lightning said lowly. "And here I was thinking that deep down, you were the same person I fell in love with. I thought you'd always be on my side..." She curled her hands into tighter fists, her anger showing along with some sadness. You're not the Riku I love.
Riku's jaw flexed at what he just heard, and he fought the urge to scream. Instead, he spoke through clenched teeth. "I'm doing this to protect you, because I love you," he said lowly. "But you give me no choice when you're being so reckless. So stupid!" He had no choice but to be her enemy here, someone she hated. She could hate him, but he would love her. Because of that, he would keep her safe. This was the way he saw it working.

"How is it so stupid that I want to save the people I love?!" Lightning hollered, shifting a little to try and break out of Riku's hold. No good. She couldn't get out of it. She was furious before, but now it was even worse. She had never felt such rage towards Riku before. She didn't care if she was reckless; at least she was willing to do what was necessary to set things right.
"Because you're going to die, Lightning!" Riku yelled, forgetting the lack of space between their faces as he raised his voice. She wasn't ready to face the past, mentally or physically. She was too weak with how little she'd eaten and slept lately. The only thing that would come out of her going back was death, and he wasn't about to accept that.

Lightning gritted her teeth, staring at Riku. She wasn't planning on dying, but she knew that it was a possibility. "...So be it," she said lowly. She would die if that was what had to happen. She was supposed to protect her family, but she failed before; that was why they were all gone now. But she was alive, so she had another chance!
Riku ground his teeth together, lowering his head ever so slightly as his eyes closed tightly. She did not just say that...not after all I did to save her and bring her back. He opened his eyes to glare at Lightning, his blood boiling. He released her and marched off, leaving the room and going down the hall of the west wing. She wanted the watch? She was going to have to come get it.

Lightning felt Riku release her, the force enough to push her back against the wall a little bit. "Hey!" she snapped without thought, chasing after Riku. He wasn't leaving just like that! She wasn't going to give up on this, no matter what Riku said or did.
Riku ignored Lightning, continuing to march down the hall. He wasn't about to let her win this one, not after all he did. She was alive, and she hadn't said "thank you" at all for giving her another chance. "You're really ungrateful, you know that?" he called over his shoulder before focusing forward again. "I save your life and you are willing to go kill yourself. Classy."

Lightning walked quickly to catch up with Riku, her hand grasping his wrist with the watch. "I'll thank you as soon as you stop treating me like a prisoner," she spat. "If you have the right to save my life, then I have the right to save my friends." She didn't plan on dying. Heck, she would even accept help if he actually offered...She didn't have to face this battle alone.
"Forget it," Riku snapped, pulling his wrist out of Light's grasp as he took a turn in the hall. "I'm not losing you again." He refused to have that happen a second time. The young man didn't know that his friends were awake on this wing, able to hear every word that was spoken between him and Lightning. He could care less about anyone else but her right now.

"You're not, because I'm not dying!" Lightning spat, keeping up with Riku and trailing behind him. "You successfully saved me. Why can't I successfully save my friends, huh?!" What gave him the right to do whatever he wanted, while she was basically a captive here? It wasn't fair...
Riku whirled around, stopping just by the stairs. "It doesn't matter!" he roared, neglecting to notice Skylar with his friends at the other end of the hall they just traveled through. He pointed at Lightning, speaking again. "If you go back, it'll still be too late for them. Don't you get it? You'll either die while they're hanging there or after, if you're lucky enough to dodge that damn ray that killed you the first time. Either way, they're dead!"

"Don't make me sound so powerless!" Lightning yelled, resisting the urge to slug Riku for all that he just said. "Do you remember who even made this future possible?! It was me. I was the one who made your friends all get happy endings instead of letting you all be miserable and separated. I did that! And if I did it once, I can do it again! Only this time, I'll make a future where everyone lives."
"Wishful thinking," Riku spat, turning around and starting down the stairs. In the back of his mind he knew she was right, but he was too furious to think clearly. All he could focus on was keeping her with him and having her live like she was supposed to, alongside him and Ven. The fact that Serah wasn't here... He did blame that on himself, but... But nothing! I'm in charge of this future.

"Maybe, but it's a wish that'll come true," Lightning said, following behind Riku and reaching to grab his shoulder. She could do this! She just needed the freedom to do it, and a plan. Despite what Riku thought, she wasn't that reckless. She wouldn't get herself killed after how hard he tried to save her.
Riku felt Light's hand on his shoulder, and he lifted one of his own to shove it away. He reached the bottom of the stairs and approached the large double doors, shoving them open to reveal a newly lit morning sky and shadowed walkway just past the stairs. He started down another set then, going with the idea he came up with moments ago. He had to take desperate measures to make sure Lightning stayed with him.

"Would you just stop and listen to me?!" Lightning cried in outrage, still right on Riku's tail. Little did she know, though, there were three teens on their tails. It was early in the morning, but Riku's apprentice and his friends were awake for some reason. It hardly mattered right now. All that mattered was restoring things to the way they were.
"What, so you can tell me I'm an idiot for saving you? I'll pass," Riku replied lowly over his shoulder. He then focused forward, walking over the stone design in front of the castle. He stopped when he was in the center of it, lifting his wrist so he could unstrap it from around his arm. It was time to get rid of this thing.

Lightning stopped a few feet away from Riku, feet bare on the ground. "I'm not saying that!" she hissed. "I'm saying you're an idiot for not letting me save my family. How would you feel if somebody kept you from going back and saving four or five people that are like family to you?" He wouldn't have stood for it. And neither would she.
"I would hate them," Riku said, staring down at the watch as he stopped messing with it for the moment. "But what would you do if you lost the love of your life for seven years, and just after you got them back, you found out that they wanted to leave you the first chance they got?" That hurt, a lot. That was why he was going to keep it from happening, right now.

"I'm not leaving, Riku!" Lightning spat in outrage. Wasn't he understanding her at all?! "After I save my friends, the past will change. You'll have never lost me in the first place!" At least...that was what she figured. It would have helped if she had a plan to back up those strong words.
"You obviously didn't listen to a word I just said," Riku snapped, unstrapping the watch from around his wrist to turn and look at the woman he loved. "They're dead, Lightning. If there was a way to save them, I would have done it when I saved you!" He shook his head at her, ignoring the people gathered at the castle entrance. "Going back is only killing yourself, got it?!"

"No, I don't!" Lightning shouted. She didn't get that. "I live to make the impossible possible. To protect my family. That's my purpose!" And she wasn't going to let anything get in her way, not even Riku. But she did wonder what was going on with him taking off the watch...
Riku's eyebrows furrowed, only looking at Lightning now. "You honestly think you can waltz back to Gran Pulse seven years in the past and save everyone just like that? Again with the recklessness," he said, looking at the watch in his hand. He curled the fingers of his right hand around it, prepared to do what he had to. It was the only way.
