Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Skylar didn't ask questions, climbing the steps and putting a hand lightly on Hallie's back to usher her inside. I wonder if Master Sora heard any of that...he wondered. Master Riku was his best friend. Maybe he could talk to him...

Riku knew when he was alone, able to sense it. But he also could tell that Darkness was used nearby, and it was for a portal. The only person that could have possibly done that was Lightning, and he didn't even want to know what her plans were. He just...couldn't see her right now. It wouldn't go well.

"You can't go, Lightning."

Lightning turned her head to the doorway, seeing the person who spoke softly to her. Sora. He must have woken up and heard the fight. It made sense, since he lived on this side of the castle too. Apparently he wasn't as deep of a sleeper as he used to be. But he wasn't intimidating, either, which was why she didn't take his order seriously.

"Don't break his heart," Sora continued softly, seeing Lightning's hard expression. Riku loved Lightning, clearly. Even she could probably see it. But she wasn't seeing the logic in his argument.

"Why shouldn't I?" Lightning spat. "He broke mine." He was supposed to always be on her side, but he called himself her enemy. If that was the way that he wanted it, then...she'd complete her task in a way that her life was ended. She didn't want to live without Riku. Her Riku.

Riku looked up from the ground, seeing that the sun was just rising. And there he was, up with dawn. He swore to take the road to dawn, but what was he doing now? He was...making a mistake, wasn't he? He was traveling down the path of Darkness again. That was at least how it felt, especially now. His beloved just slugged him and hated him. Now he knew the real feeling of loneliness.

"You guys have gotten into fights before," Sora argued, though he wasn't being harsh. "Calm down and let this one settle, like the others did..."

"He destroyed the watch, Sora, my one chance to set things right," Lightning said, standing up and walking over to her sword. She started strapping it on, speaking as she did. "He sentenced them to death, forever..." She felt her knees get weak, because the "he" was Riku, and the "them" was her family. This...wasn't right. "Just...go away, Sora...Let me find a way to cope with this."

Sora hesitated in the doorway, seeing Lightning strap on her pack on her leg. She was really planning on going, and Sora didn't know how to stop her. He prayed that Riku was on his way up. Even if those two weren't on good terms, he could find a way to stop her...

"I've spent the last seven years being lonely..." Riku realized, watching the sun. "A day longer will kill me...and everyone knows it." Lightning was going to leave, that much he knew. She wouldn't stay after what he just did, but...he couldn't let her get away, and it wasn't just because he didn't want her to die. He truly loved her, and she could hit him and curse at him as much as she wanted, but he would never stop loving her. Never. "...Claire." Riku turned his head, looking up at the castle. He then started running, sprinting up the stairs.

"Stop staring!" Lightning snapped through her tears, finishing with the bag on her leg. She saw Sora there out of the corner of her eye, and she knew he wouldn't just let her go. She set a hand on her sword but didn't pull it out, feeling that hand burn since it was the broken one. Regardless, she only cast Cure on herself. "I'm leaving." And you can't stop me. Nobody can.
Riku ran inside the castle, immediately going for the stairs before heading for the west wing. He ran as fast as he could, having gained more speed thanks to Sora's own advice and training; he was grateful he had it. He raced down the carpeted floor, seeing the room he was looking for just up ahead.

"Lightning..." Sora said in protest. She didn't have to do this! She didn't have to face this fight by herself! Riku would be there, right by her side, once he wasn't so overly protective of her. The brunet had to confess that over protective was exactly how Riku was, but who could blame him? Seven years away from his true love, and now that he had her, she was rushing off into danger. Both of them were right in their own ways.
Riku slowed his pace when he was close, coming to a stop in the doorway. He blinked in surprise when he saw his best friend in the room, confused for a moment, but he immediately looked to the woman in the room. She was leaving... "Light," he said breathlessly. Just wait a second.

Light glanced at the doorway through moist eyes, seeing the person who broke her there. She opened her hand by her side and opened a portal. Riku's appearance didn't change anything. She was still going to leave, and when she was out there, she would find a way to do something. She wouldn't settle for this life. She started towards the exit, looking at that instead of Riku.
Riku blinked when she started to just walk away, but he wasn't about to let her get away with it. He pushed his way past Sora, rushing across the room. He grabbed Lightning and picked her up when she was right in front of the portal, almost out of his life. He turned for the bed, knowing that he had to talk to her. She couldn't leave like this.

Lightning grunted when Riku was suddenly right behind her, his arms wrapped around her as he lifted her feet off the ground and successfully pinned her arms to her sides. "Riku!" she shouted in protest, kicking and squirming to get out of his grasp. "Let me go, you traitor!" she cried hoarsely. He betrayed her. When he was in her bed this morning, holding her, she thought she could trust him. But he was her enemy now. He said so himself.
Riku approached the bed, carrying Lightning easily because of his strength and ignoring her squirming. "Stop," he said, dropping her on the bed. She needed to just hear him out. He would explain... She just had to give him another chance.

"No, you stop!" Lightning cried, starting to sit up after Riku dropped her on the bed so she landed on her back. "Just stop..." Stop treating me like a prisoner. Stop crushing my dreams. Stop yelling at me. ...And stop breaking my heart. She couldn't take this...Riku was alive, but he wasn't her Riku, or so she thought. Her Riku was dead to her now.
"Lightning," Riku said tightly, leaning forward and grabbing her arms. He pinned her arms on either side of her head, leaning over her as he forced her to lay on her back. "Stop it!" He needed to explain... Two minutes. That was all he needed.

"How dare you order me around, after all you've done!" Lightning cried, squirming in Riku's hold. He had a lot of nerve, storming into her room like this and pinning her against the bed. If she had a hand free, she would have slugged him again. She would have slugged the person who once held all her trust. He may have lost that, but he still held her heart...Her broken heart.
"I'm sorry!" Riku cried then, his aqua eyes resting on the pale blue he would always love. He kept his hold on her secure despite her struggles. "I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry, Lightning!" Just hear me out...please.

Lightning choked back a sob, turning her head away from Riku's as she kept struggling. Sure, now you're sorry. After all the damage is done. Don't you get it? It's too late... She couldn't forgive him for this. She couldn't forgive him for destroying her one chance at saving her family.
"I made a mistake, not saving them. They're not dead because of you," Riku said, his eyes softening with his emotions and at the sight of Lightning this way. "They're dead because of me. It's my fault, okay? I admit it, I killed them and I regret every single part of it. I regret dragging you into this mess and destroying the watch. I was stupid! I just wanted to make sure you didn't leave again!" Not like before...not through death.

Claire felt her struggles weaken, the back of her head falling back down to the bed as a hiccup left her lips. She shut her eyes, feeling the emotions come on as Riku brought up everything that grieved her. He just said he killed them, her family. How could she ever forgive him for this? But something else he said caught her attention. He regretted it. He wasn't apathetic to their deaths anymore. Something had changed.
"Punch me, smack me, kick me, yell at me--I don't care," Riku said then, his expression breaking at the hiccup from the woman below him. "I'll take it. I deserve it, Light, after what I've done to you. I'll take the blame for it all, alright? Just...don't go." Don't leave me again...please. I can't handle it, not again. Riku would lose himself if she left again.

Light opened her teary eyes, feeling the moisture leave out of the corners and slide to her hairline. She opened her mouth as if to speak, but all that came out was a shaky breath. Riku...was starting to see things from her point of view. Was that what he was saying? He said he deserved punishment, after all he did to her...So he wronged her. He actually saw that now?
"Ten years ago," Riku started again, his own eyes stinging at the sight of Lightning's tears. "Ten years ago I promised that I wouldn't follow the path of Darkness again. I'm going back on my word by what I'm doing to you. I'm nowhere near the Light after what I've done; I've only sunk deeper into the Darkness. My life is a wreck without you, and I've only destroyed it more by treating you the way I have. I'm losing you again, and that's the last thing I want..." He shook his head, his hold on Lightning still firm though he lessened the pressure slightly. "I need you, Lightning. But I was being selfish with you...That's why the watch is gone. I couldn't stand the thought of seeing you go again..." He got there hardly a minute late seven years ago. He saw her go...

Lightning swallowed hard, unsure of what to say to all that Riku was confessing to her. For some reason, the last sentence echoed in her ears. He couldn't see her go again...He saw her the first time? He...When the Maker shot its energy beam at her to kill her and her friends and the hit landed, Riku came soon enough after that he saw her...?
"I'm bitter, and I know that," Riku admitted, glancing down at Lightning's shirt before finding her eyes again. "But my life sucks without you. The last seven years have been Hell. I'm sorry that I've taken it out on you, I am. I just...I was just being overprotective ever since..." He trailed off, not able to speak it. Ever since you died on Gran Pulse. He grunted, closing his eyes for a moment. He had to recompose himself quickly to finish.
