A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Kairi heard nothing but the waves after that, staring at them in sadness. She didn't like hearing them talk about this, and was half-tempted to walk away. She was the Light that wasn't shining when Sora needed it most. It was her fault more than Riku's that it was gone...

Sora looked down at the sand, surprised when Riku didn't bombard him with any more questions. His nightmares kept on coming because he didn't have the Keyblade, but he didn't know how to get it back.

"Aqua doesn't know anything either," Riku concluded. If she had, she would have done something about it by now. "Which means that I need to pay a visit to the King and Master Yen Sid." He didn't really have a choice, if he wanted to help Sora get his weapon back.

 

Kairi lowered her head, closing her eyes. She didn't want Riku to leave again... That would just make things worse. She needed him, and so did Sora. They couldn't separate now.

Sora automatically looked behind Riku to Kairi, and he frowned when he saw her position and expression. He looked back to Riku and conveyed a silent message through his facial expression. Kairi isn't ready to let you go yet. They had been together the whole time they were suffering from nightmares; it was understandable that she would still cling to her best friend for a while.

Riku met Sora's eyes, and it didn't take him long to decode the message that was obviously there. He lowered his sight to the sand, sighing softly. "But...I guess I need to stay for a little while longer," he added after a second. "Just in case somebody finds another solution."

"I think I've got that other solution," Ventus said, standing on the ledge by the water as he looked at the three teens nearby. He had heard the last part of their conversation about getting the Keyblade back, and he felt like he had the answer.

 

Sora blinked at the voice, turning his head and looking to the source. Ven? He had a solution?

Kairi's eyes opened at the voice, the girl turning her head to see one of the older Keyblade wielders. "Ven..." she said. How much had he heard? And what solution did he have?

 

Riku looked over at Ventus, his eyebrows furrowing. "What is it?" he asked, wanting to know what that other solution would be. They had no ideas...

Ven jumped down, ignoring the small splash that formed when he hit the water. He walked forward, speaking as he approached his friends. "I never picked a successor to have my Keyblade," he said, looking at Riku when he spoke. "So why not pass it onto Sora?" Then he could wield it again, and everything would be fine.

Riku blinked at that. Wait... "You mean like Terra?" he asked, making sure he had this correct. Ven was planning on doing the same thing Terra had done with Riku so long ago? Would that actually work?

"Yeah," Ven confirmed with a nod, standing by Sora and Riku at this point. It was really a simple idea; he couldn't believe that he hadn't thought of it sooner. It was such an easy fix!

Kairi faced Ven, looking from him to Riku and then Sora before looking back up at the blond. "...Are you sure it'll work?" she asked softly. It seemed so simple. Something this tragic couldn't be fixed so easily, could it?

"I don't see why it wouldn't," Ven responded with a nod, looking to Kairi when she asked him a question. He didn't see any problems with it; Sora was just an average guy now, just like Riku had been when he inherited Terra's Keyblade.

Riku pushed himself up from his knees, standing up tall. "Go for it," he said with a nod at Ven. If it would work, then he needed to do it. Sora wasn't the same without his Keyblade.

Ven nodded to Riku, summoning his Keyblade and flipping it so that Sora could grab onto the hilt. "Just grab the hilt," he told Sora, kneeling down so that he was at Sora's level.

 

Soora looked at the Keyblade being extended to him, and for a second, he just stared at it. After this, he would be able to have a Keyblade again. He wouldn't be weak and defenseless! He would be able to feel powerful again and be able to protect himself and others. Things would be set right...

Riku stepped back, positioning himself next to Kairi as he watched from a few feet away. He remembered this... If his memory served him right, Ven would recite some sort of ceremonial speech to Sora to make sure this went properly. Or at least, that was what Terra did.

But...This was like forcing the Keyblade to accept him as master. If it wanted him, then it would have come back to him on its own. And plus, he wouldn't get his own Keyblade back from this ceremony; he would get another one. His Keyblade was a special one, and he wouldn't have felt right if he didn't have the one that he originally received. "...I can't," he said, shaking his head.

Kairi blinked at Sora's refusal, the girl shocked that he would do such a thing. But...she thought he wanted the Keyblade back. Why wouldn't he take the opportunity that was right in front of him?

 

Riku furrowed his eyebrows, though he knew there had to be a reason behind Sora's decision. What was it, though?

"If the Keyblade wanted me as its master, it would have come back to me already," Sora explained, keeping his eyes on Ven's weapon. "It would be wrong for me to take it back this way." This was an issue on conscious for him; he would never feel right if he held the weapon for his own selfish reasons.

Riku closed his eyes, smiling faintly to himself. Of course, he thought. Sora had the right idea in mind, one that Riku hadn't even thought of. It was true that Riku hadn't asked for his when he was younger, and neither had Sora when the Keyblade found him. It really wouldn't be right for him to do that now, would it?

"So if I'm meant to have the Keyblade, I'll get it back on my own," Sora declared, lifting his eyes to Ventus. He didn't like turning away this offer, but he knew that it was the right thing to do. He wasn't meant to fix things this way.

 

"Alright," Ven said with a faint nod, summoning his Keyblade away and standing upright. If that was what he wanted, he wouldn't go against it.

Kairi looked from Ven to Riku, seeing her best friend's expression. So...he approved? The girl lowered her head in thought. She guessed she needed to as well. Whatever Sora felt was right in this decision had to be....right? He was formerly the Keyblade's master, after all.

Sora rose to his feet, looking at all the expressions of his friends. Riku looked pleased, Ven looked like he accepted the decision, and Kairi...He couldn't read her expression. But he knew that no matter what others thought, he made the right decision.

Kairi linked her hands behind her back, knowing that she needed to accept it. As Sora's...friend, it would show her support. And that was more important than she knew.

"I'm going back to Terra and Aqua," Ventus said after a few moments of silence. "I'll catch up with you guys later." He waved to them before he turned around and started the way he came, figuring he would leave the trio to whatever they were originally doing.

Riku opened his eyes, glancing over his shoulder to watch Ventus leave, but he then turned his gaze to Sora again. "You're really willing to do this the old-fashioned way?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest. It would take longer than the ceremony, even if it was a true way of going about it.
