Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Kairi watched Riku go, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion. She tucked some of her long red hair behind her ear, though she called to her husband. "Sora, something's wrong with Riku..." she told him silently. Whatever was going on, Kairi could sense it wasn't good.

Sora jumped backwards from his battle with Skylar, lifting a hand to tell him to hold on. "What do you mean, something's wrong?" he asked his wife silently. Riku had been better than earlier when he saw him at breakfast; he had thought things were turning up for his best friend. But if Kairi said there was something wrong, then surely she was right...

"I'll do what's necessary, since nobody else will," Terrian said coldly, voice soft as he stared at the soldier's face. "You belong in the grave anyway." He saw her eyes narrow at that, and he didn't notice her set a hand on the weapon that was in her bag. But what could she do in this position? If she made one move, he'd slit her throat. He was rash, but he convinced himself that this was the right coarse of action.

Riku ran down the hall, passing Sora and Kairi's room, then Roxas and Namine's, then finally his own. That was when he noticed Lightning's door wide open. He stopped when he was just inside, his eyes widening. "What are you doing?!" he hollered in outrage and surprise. Terrian was...

Kairi jumped slightly when the holler echoed down the hall, the young woman bending down to pick up Lydia. "Something's really wrong, Sora," she said then, urgency in her heart. "It's Lightning." It had to be. She couldn't imagine Terrian being the problem.

"Okay, on my way," Sora said without hesitation, his Keyblade disappearing as he looked back to Skylar. "Training's done," he said to his student before he turned around and started running at a sprint. If Kairi ran into Riku, then they were probably in the west wing. He could be there in a few minutes.

Lightning looked past Terrian to Riku, seeing the teen in front of her also briefly look over at Riku. She wondered how he knew something was wrong, since she thought she heard him running to this room. But it hardly mattered. She had her guard down earlier, and now Terrian was in a position to kill her.

Terrian glanced at Riku before he looked back to Lightning, the teen keeping his arm across her chest and the Keyblade to her throat. "She doesn't belong here!" he cried. She belonged in the grave, since she hurt Riku before by not appreciating him saving her life. She should have died seven years ago, but better late than never, he supposed.

"Let her go, Terrian," Riku ordered firmly, taking a step further into the room. "Now." One wrong move, and Lightning was dead. He wasn't about to let that happen, which was why he had to figure out a way to get Terrian away from her, and quickly.

"Whose side are you on?!" Terrian spat, pressing harder on Lightning's chest and making her wince faintly. "I thought you said you'd always be on my side!" Little did he know that Lightning had said something similar before when she was angry, and this had nothing to do with "sides". This was about right and wrong; life and death. And Terrian was on the wrong side.
"This isn't about sides, Terrian!" Riku shouted, angry with his student. "This is about how you're using your Keyblade: for the wrong reason." He was making a mistake, and the Keyblade wasn't for murder. It was for keeping the peace. This was not peace.

"What was wrong was that you brought her back after she died!" Terrian cried in outrage. "Why her?! And why didn't you at least let me use the watch to save my family before you destroyed it?!" Maybe this wasn't about Lightning...it was more about the past. He lost his parents, and Riku hadn't even talked about a device he could use to save them. That hurt...a lot. That was betrayal.
Riku grunted in shock, but he didn't respond. Terrian's parents... He hadn't even thought of them. Not once. Once again, he had proof that he was being selfish with the watch, to more than one person. Now his own student hated him. "Terrian..."
  • Author
"Save it," Terrian spat. He wasn't going to listen to the person who betrayed him. Now he believed that Riku was at fault for his parents' deaths, even if it was just partially. He had the power to save them, but he didn't. And now, I'll take away what he did save. He doesn't deserve to have her.
Riku could only stare at his student. What happened to the kid who was so devoted to the Keyblade, and becoming a Master? What happened to the boy who was like a son to me? "Let me explain," he said then, taking another step forward. Terrian was making a mistake...

"Don't come any closer," Terrian said lowly, looking over at Riku while keeping his firm hold on Lightning. If he came any closer, then he would hurt her. And he would do it slowly, too, to make her experience more pain. He didn't know that she would be able to defend herself from such attacks, but if he did follow his new plan, then he would find out very quickly what she was capable of.
Riku lowered his head, his hands balling into fists at the betrayal he felt wash over him, and the sadness and disappointment. "Terrian..." he started again, opening his hand. "Don't make me do this." His Keyblade appeared in his hand, the Master practically begging his student to back down. He never wanted to lift his weapon against his student, but he was leaving him no choice.

"I'm not making you do anything," Terrian said lowly, glaring at Riku before he looked back to Lightning. "Even if I told you to do anything, you don't take orders from students. Remember?" He had said as much less than twenty minutes ago, when he had been dragging Terrian back to the castle.

Riku lifted his head, staring at Terrian in disbelief. I've lost him, he realized then. He lost his student...and he was sure Lightning noticed it too. He hadn't even seen this coming...

"The child is right," came a voice. And then, in a flurry of green flames, the dark witch appeared on the opposite side of the room as Terrian and Lightning. "He is quite intelligent, even for his age. He's noticed that his Master is nothing but a hypocritical fool, as he should. You never were too wise, my dearest Riku." Maleficent held her staff, smirking evilly at the grown man near the door. She could see that he had grown stronger as well, but he was no match for her powers.

Terrian noticed Lightning's eyes grow in size as she gasped, but he turned his head to see the person who just entered the room. Who was that? She looked awfully dark, whoever she was. But Terrian didn't know much about the Darkness, since Riku kept him sheltered from it while he was under his training. He was more concerned that the witch just appeared out of nowhere and heard what was going on. "...Who are you?"

"I am Maleficent, the Mistress of All Evil," the witch answered promptly. She then looked from the boy to his Master. "And may I say, the similarities between you two is quite interesting. Looks, personality, and heart. My oh my..."

"What do you mean?" Riku demanded, tightening his grasp on his weapon. Now he really had a use for it. Maleficent was supposed to be dead!

"Why, you should understand exactly what I mean, Master Riku," Maleficent mocked, looking to the young man. "At fifteen you had succumbed to the Darkness, hadn't you? And now your apprentice is traveling along the same path. How incredibly...wonderful."

  • Author
Terrian blinked in surprise, pulling his weapon away from Lightning's neck only an inch. "Wait, what?" he said in confusion. She said that Master Riku...succumbed to the Darkness? When he was fifteen? And Terrian wasn't told about this?! You lied to me about everything, didn't you?! You never were truthful with me. Riku was never on his side at all; it was all a trick.

"It's not something I'm proud of," Riku said, directing his response toward his student. "I've learned to control it, okay? Don't listen to her!"

"And why shouldn't he, Riku? Everything you've told him has been a lie," Maleficent said, smiling darkly. "Haven't you lied about the Darkness in your life? Haven't you kept your little mission back in time a secret from your precious 'son'? Why is he to believe a word you've told him the past two years?"

"Because I was just protecting him!" Riku hollered in fury, glaring at the witch. "I didn't want him to have the same life I did! I didn't want him to make the same mistakes!"

  • Author
"Why should I believe that?!" Terrian hollered at his "Master". "You had the power to save my parents, but you didn't. You let them die!" If Riku was really protecting him or looking out for him, then why didn't he save his parents? They deserved to live much more than the person at the end of his Keyblade.
Maleficent saw that Riku didn't respond, and she instantly felt interested. "Oooh, how intriguing. The Master kept the dear parents of his student away? How unfortunate that your Master is so heartless, young one." She looked to the boy, smiling. "However, I have the power to bring your parents back, without the help of some childish watch."

Lightning saw that Terrian was considering it, and even if she was at the tip of his blade, she wasn't going to let him sell his life to Maleficent. "Don't listen to her, Terrian," she said lowly, gaining the boy's attention. "She only wants to use you for her own purposes." Light knew it from experience. She served under Maleficent to save Riku's life, but after a while, the witch didn't care about Riku. She only cared about using Lightning till she ran dry.

"Oh hush, you hopeless weakling," Maleficent hissed. "You were too soft for the future I had in store for you, but the boy... He is much stronger. Much like his Master was so many years ago. Let's hope the cowardice doesn't pass down to successors." She glanced over at Riku, only to see him glare at her.

"Shut up! He'll never give into you!" Riku shouted with fury. "Like you said, he's smarter than that. He's not stupid enough to follow you around." Not like I was.

  • Author
"What would you have me do?" Terrian asked, ignoring the comments from Lightning and Riku as he spoke to Maleficent. If Maleficent really could bring back his parents, then he would follow her. No matter what the cost, he would follow her. His family was worth it. Did she want him to kill Lightning, here and now? He'd do it.

"Complete a few tasks for me, dear boy, and I will grant you the power you wish so much to obtain," Maleficent said, milking her way into the boy's heart. "The power you seek to gain with your Master will take years, but only months at my side."

"Terrian, don't listen to anything she says," Riku demanded, looking to his student. "She makes you think Darkness is the only way. Don't believe it."
