A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Again, Terrian nodded faintly. He was shocked at how much that comment hurt. He had always tried his best not to be a disappointment to Riku, and to not disgrace him. But today, he was sure that he did both of those and many more negative things. ...I'm ready to be yelled at now, he thought silently. That was what he expected, since Riku yelled at him a lot today.

"But...I'm not gonna yell at you," Riku said, stopping in the middle of the stone pathway just beyond the stairs. He turned and faced Terrian slightly, knowing his ex-apprentice would most likely be surprised to hear such a thing. But it was the truth.

Terrian stopped a step ahead of Riku, his words registering. He looked up at the Master in surprise, his expression showing question. Wait, what? But, Riku had yelled at him for things of less significance than this. He didn't understand why he wasn't going to yell at him now, except maybe he figured the teen wasn't worth his efforts.

Riku shrugged slightly, looking down at Terrian. "I've been there," he said. "Maleficent told you as much, right?" He had been in Terrian's position, second-guessing everything he knew and turning against those he loved. "It's not a good place to be. If I yell at you, I'm only going to make it worse."

Terrian felt his confusion grow, the teen letting his hands fall to his sides. "Why wouldn't you want things to get worse?" he finally asked, though his voice was quiet. "I attacked your friend..." Obviously she was more than a friend, but that was beside the point. Why wasn't Riku ordering him to pack his bags and leave?

Riku nodded, agreeing. "Yeah, you did. For that, you'll be apologizing to her personally, and it'll be a sincere apology," he said, lifting an eyebrow slightly as he looked at Terrian. He knew better, and he was a respectful person. He would apologize for his wrong doings.

Terrian glanced away, lifting a hand and running it over his hair as he looked down at the ground. But after a second, he nodded. Maybe he did owe her an apology, since he attacked her without her provoking him. And then she stood up for him against Maleficent despite what he almost did. Maybe he misjudged her.

"Keybladers aren't perfect, but we're chosen despite our faults," Riku continued on. "I chose you as my successor for a reason, y'know. You've got a good heart underneath that tough skin of yours." He smirked a little, unable to help himself. "You're just like I was when I was your age."

Your age? You mean... "You're finally going to tell me about your past?" Terrian asked in surprise. It was something that Riku had never spoken about before, not when Terrian was around. He was really surprised that he would choose now to open up, especially after Terrian quit being his apprentice. Did that even stand? Riku hadn't responded to him when he said that.

"Mm," Riku hummed with a small nod. "You're not the only one who's made mistakes today. I have some confessions to make." But, it was a long story. They wouldn't talk here. Besides, it was kind of...tragic. It would be hard to talk about, because it always was, but he owed it to Terrian to tell him.

Terrian didn't know how to respond, so he just nodded faintly and kept his eyes on the person he once called "Master". He already knew Riku made mistakes, starting with the watch. But he didn't have the right to call him out, especially after how the teen had royally screwed up today.

Riku stepped past Terrian, looking at him. "This way," he said, motioning to him with his head before he focused forward. They would go up to the Summit and talk in peace, that way no one came to interrupt them. With this story, it would be awkward if anyone did.

Terrian blinked, but he caught up to Riku so that he was by his side as they walked to the summit. His head was spinning, as it had been ever since Maleficent showed up and got inside his head. Riku was going to tell him about his past. There were so many possibilities as to what happened...He felt anxious to hear what Riku had to say.

Riku overlooked the mountains at the top of the summit, sitting beside his former student with one knee propped up. He just finished wrapping up his story, having talked about everything from meeting Terra when he was only five to when he finally stood up to Xemnas alongside Sora. The story in full took about an hour, the young man having talked through every detail, and every regret. Now, he was waiting for the response from Terrian, if there was one.

Terrian sat in the silence, looking ahead of him as he sat on the ground. And I thought my head was spinning before... This was all a little too much to take in right now, after the encounter with Maleficent. He didn't think that Riku would go so in depth with his story, nor did he expect him to have such a terrible past. Terrian hadn't known anything about Darkness because he was so sheltered from it, but based on Riku's story, it was absolutely terrible. He...didn't know if he was willing to suffer that Darkness for the sake of his parents, if his parents would be saved at all.

"...After that, I met Lightning, and things went up from there," Riku said softly. That is...until I lost her. Terrian helped him get focused again, but sometimes he was still a mess. He had a hard exterior, but he suffered silently on the inside. Sometimes.

Lightning. Terrian thought. Riku's girlfriend. Obviously that was what they were, since neither of them wore rings on their fingers. Now that Lightning was back, though, Terrian finally saw the necklace that Riku no longer tucked behind his shirt. A lightning bolt...It must have had some connection to her. The two of them must have been pretty close if he brought her back as soon as he could, even after seven years of being alone.

Riku was silent for another moment, not finding the need to speak. If Terrian had any questions, he was welcome to ask them. Riku just told his life story; there was no doubt that he would answer questions after that. But even if Terrian didn't have them, he told his secrets. There was nothing left unsaid between them now, except...

How can I blame him for bringing back somebody special to him without thinking about my parents? Yeah, he should have thought it out, but...He had a lot of things to consider. I can't call him a complete jerk for using the power selfishly. That was what Terrian would have done with his parents. He wouldn't have cared if anybody else wanted the power or not.

Riku turned his head, looking at Terrian as he sat beside him. "Terrian...my past isn't the only one we need to talk about," he hinted quietly. The boy's parents... Riku never considered them when he made the watch. He could make another, however, since he knew how to do it. If Terrian wanted to rescue his parents, Riku would help him do that, no questions asked.

Terrian hummed shortly in question, looking over at Riku. He figured that his past wasn't the only thing that they needed to talk about, but he had no idea what his mentor was going to bring up next. He had no clue about anything anymore.

"I was selfish with the watch," Riku admitted then, his eyebrows furrowing slightly at the thought of the invention. "But...I can make another to set things right, not only with Lightning, but with you too." He couldn't be unfair, not anymore. Terrian deserved family, just like Light. "I'm willing to create another watch in order to rescue your parents."

Terrian's expression showed shock, which was unusual for him. Normally, nothing caught him off guard. "What?" he said dumbly. He could not have just heard that right. Riku could make another watch to rescue his parents...His parents weren't beyond saving. They could still survive that day with an intervention!

Riku nodded, humming softly. You heard me correctly. "It'll take some time, but it's definitely possible," he said, explaining a bit further. "I need to gather the materials." He used up all of the others, but he would definitely have to make this watch more efficient. It would be easier to create a watch for Terrian's purpose than for Lightning's.

Terrian gawked at Riku, his green eyes still on the Master. "I...You'd do that?" he asked. Why? Why would you even consider that...? Terrian disrespected him in so many ways the past day. He even considered going with Maleficent just to spite Riku! How could he just push that aside like it was nothing?
