Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku swallowed his bite of meat, turning his head when he heard laughter on one side of the table. Of course, his eyes lingered on Lightning, since she was right next to him. "Hey," he said. "You okay?" Was she still not feeling well? She was certainly being quiet; he figured she would at least talk to Ven.

Light swallowed, turning her head to look over at Riku. "Mm," she hummed with a small nod and a weak smile. She didn't know if she would be "okay" any time soon just because of the circumstances, but there was nothing seriously wrong with her right now. Physically she was alright, alive. That was probably the best Riku could expect from her right now.
Riku kept his eyes on Lightning's pale blue for a moment, trying to read them. The years that passed made it more difficult for him, since he hadn't seen her in so long. After a moment he nodded, accepting that answer. "Okay," he said, his eyes lingering on her before he went back to eating his dinner. If she was sure.

Lightning looked back to her plate, lifting a fork and playing with the food a little. I can't believe he bought that, she thought. She hadn't been expecting that, but maybe things weren't as they seemed to be. Maybe he just didn't want to bring anything up at dinner. For some reason, though, she didn't believe that was the case. Did he really believe she was okay...?
It didn't take long for everyone to finish their meals, and that was when everyone departed. It wasn't too late just yet, so he figured everyone would hang around the castle like they usually did until it was time to sleep. Riku handed his plate and glass off to Aqua and her apprentice, since it was their turn for dishes tonight. He wasn't really sure what he was going to do now. He had to at least give Terrian some space, since he had a lot of thinking to do. Sora and Kairi wanted some quality time with Lydia before bed, and he didn't want to think about bothering Roxas and Namine; they were both swamped with their own child. Guess that leaves Light, if she's up for it.

Light pushed herself up from her seat, her and Riku the only two left in the room other than Aqua and her apprentice. She figured the two of them would leave now, though she didn't know where to go to. She didn't have a bedroom anymore, since the battle with Maleficent left things too messy. So...does that mean I'm staying with Riku? Last night he was in my bed with me anyway...
Riku nodded to Aqua before he started out of the room, expecting Lightning to follow suit. He wasn't sure what they were going to do now, unless she was tired and wanted to go to bed. Her room was a disaster right now, but she could have his bed. He wasn't tired yet, anyway.

Doesn't matter, Light thought, following behind Riku. She wasn't ready to go to bed anyway, even if she was tired. She was going to be tired for a long, long time, considering how hectic her life had been for teh past month. She wondered if things would ever settle down.
Riku glanced behind him, slowing so he could walk beside Lightning. "What'd you think of the meal?" he asked softly. She seemed to eat a considerable amount tonight, which probably made Sora and Skylar feel good about their cooking skills. But of course, Lightning helped too, from what he'd seen. He hadn't expected it, but she offered a hand in preparing dinner anyway.

"It was better than military food," Light joked softly, glancing down at the ground. She remembered that the last conversation she had with Riku before the Lindblum crashed was about the terrible food they served. She remembered she said something about it tasting like cardboard...nasty, salty cardboard. Her nose scrunched up a little bit at the memory. Well...guess I'll never have to eat that food again.
"Hmph," Riku grunted with a smirk, nodding. "Good to know." He was just happy she ate more than last night. Clearly her hunger caught up with her. But things were better today than they were the day before, so that probably had something to do with her appetite as well.

"It surprised me, actually," Lightning confessed. "I thought you always said Sora was a bad cook." And from what she had seen, Skylar really wasn't good in the kitchen either. It's so weird, how much Riku, Kairi, and Sora's apprentices are so similar to them.
"I think Kairi gave him a few pointers," Riku said, looking forward as they walked down one of the corridors. "I'm just happy he didn't burn anything." It would have been amusing yet horrible if he set something on fire, much like he did in the past. Thankfully Kairi helped out all those years ago.

"Hm," Light hummed, a side of her mouth turning up in a slight smirk. That made sense, since the two of them were married. She wasn't surprised by any of the relationships here in the future, since it was pretty obvious where things would go seven years ago. All these people really loved each other...Nothing split them up. It was great.
Riku stuffed his hands into his front pockets, letting the silence come between him and Light. They never had any awkward silences in the past, not that he could recall. But he was curious about what she was going to do now.

Light looked down at the ground as they walked, her smile fading away. She wanted to hold Riku's hand, but she wasn't sure if that was right. Earlier, Riku had said he was responsible for the deaths of her family. Could she really hold the hand of the person responsible for that? Was it even right for her to still love him? She knew that he hadn't been thinking at the time, but...She didn't know. This was complicated.
"By the way, you can have my room for the night," Riku said, glancing over at Lightning. "We'll start working on your room in the morning." It wouldn't take long to get everything that was destroyed out of the room. He was sure the bed was still in tact, or at least he hoped it was. He would take care of that and then start looking for the materials for his next watch. He needed to get to work on it so he could take Lightning back, and possibly Terrian as well.

Lightning glanced over at Riku, his phrasing confusing her. "Where are you going to sleep?" she asked. He implied that she was going to have the whole room, or at least, that was what her mind registered. Maybe it was because she was already thinking about what was and wasn't okay when it came to Riku.
Riku shrugged. "I'll find somewhere," he said, not really minding that he wouldn't have a bed for the night. He didn't even think he would actually be going to sleep; he might just start on the watch preparations tonight.

Light hummed and nodded faintly, glancing ahead again. So...Riku wouldn't be sharing a bed with her? She found that to be a bit odd, especially since he was desperate enough to crawl into her bed without her permission last night. And now that they were actually on good enough terms for her to call him "her Riku", he wasn't going to even ask if he could sleep in her bed. You're so confusing, Riku.
Riku glanced over at Lightning, and he furrowed his eyebrows a little. "I'm not trying to avoid you, you know," he said softly. "I just have a lot to do." Even this late at night he still had a lot to do. Riku was never free for long.

Lightning nodded and hummed again in understanding. That made more sense, though she was still surprised, since Riku found the time to sleep in her bed all of last night. But she wasn't about to question anything, just because it wasn't her business what Riku did with his time. She supposed she'd just have to entertain herself when he wasn't with her.
Riku stopped walking, lifting a hand and grabbing Light's upper arm. "Hey," he said softly. "What's wrong?" He wasn't sure if he was looking too much into things or what, but she was being too quiet and short with him to make him think everything was alright.

Light stopped when Riku grabbed her arm, and she lifted her gaze up to his face. "Nothing," she said quietly, faintly shaking her head. He had asked her a similar question at dinner, so she guessed that she really was acting out of the ordinary. But how did Riku expect her to act? She couldn't adjust to this time period on the spot. It would take a lot of time.
Riku didn't know what to say to that, not really. Instead he only gave Lightning a look. You don't have to hide things from me, you know, he thought silently. I'll still listen to you. He may not have been the same person that she had seven years ago, but what happened really shook him up. Because of that, he wasn't the same Riku. He couldn't help it. If that was bothering her, he didn't know what he'd do.
