Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light glanced away at the look, knowing she didn't have Riku convinced that she was okay. "It's something I have to sort out on my own," she said quietly. How could she ask Riku what was and wasn't okay when it came to their relationship? She and Riku both loved each other, but was that right after what happened? Lightning wanted to be fair to her family and see justice through, even if they were already gone. She just wished she knew how justice could be served.
Riku tilted his head slight, hesitating before speaking. "You sure?" he asked softly. If she needed his help, he would gladly give it. He was willing to do anything to make her happy. She had to know that.

"Mm," Light hummed with a small nod. She was sure. She didn't want to bring up what Riku said earlier, because it would be really awkward. But this moment here wasn't too smooth either. Still...she didn't know how either of them could act like everything was okay when things were still so complicated. They couldn't pick up right where they left off. Lightning couldn't act the same way around Riku that she would have just a few weeks ago.
Riku couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong, even though he did let go of Lightning. "Okay," he said with a small nod. He wished he wasn't in the dark about it, but he would survive. He assumed it had something to do with her going back. He was going to find a way, so she had nothing to worry about.

Lightning nodded faintly again, though she glanced away when she felt the urge to step closer to Riku and rest her head on his shoulder. She was weary over all this. It was all such a big mess, so big that she didn't know how to tackle it. She wasn't running away from the problem, though; she was just trying to figure out how to face it.
Riku kept his gaze on Lightning, even if she wasn't looking back. "...I talked to Terrian, about everything," he revealed softly. "I'm not sure how he took it, but... I promised him I would help him go back to save his parents, if that was what he wanted." Which meant he would have to get to work on that watch. The sooner it was done the better.

Lightning hummed and nodded once again, looking back over at Riku. "You don't have to tell me everything, you know," she commented softly. "It's none of my business what you spend your time doing." She assumed that he was picking up the conversation where they left off, with him saying he had things to do. She believed him when he said that; he didn't have to give details.
Riku furrowed his eyebrows slightly. "That's not what I was thinking at all, but...thanks, I guess," he said. "I just wanted to let you know that you're not the only one I'll be helping. It'll take more time to make a stronger watch." So she wouldn't be able to go back right away.

Light felt her expression change to one of confusion, her pale blue eyes remaining on Riku. He hadn't mentioned anything about making another watch; she assumed that it was impossible. Unless destroying the watch earlier was a show, which she doubted. "You destroyed the watch. How...?" How are you going to make another? And completely by scratch? It took you seven years to make the one you used to rescue me...
Riku shrugged, his hands back in his pockets. "I have to gather the materials, starting tonight," he explained. "I'll work as fast as I can. I know how much it means to you to get back to where you belong." Light didn't belong here, not with him. He would help her rescue her family and then come back here. Things wouldn't be the same anyway.

Light felt like she understood what Riku was saying, but..she couldn't help but be a little cynical. Time travel wasn't simple, not in the slightest. "Is it even possible to make another watch?" And in a short time. I can't get over the fact that it took him seven years to make the other one. If he considers that "fast", then he's very wrong.
Riku nodded, grunting softly as well. He'd found a book about time travel, after years of searching. He actually had it in his room. He just had to look and find the right materials to make a watch that can handle going back in time twice. He was being as optimistic about it as possible, even if Lightning was questioning his capablities.

Lightning nodded faintly, with some hesitance. "Okay," she said softly. I'll believe it when I see it. She didn't dare ask Riku how long it could take to make a watch, especially if he was going to make one to help Terrian as well. She just...wasn't so optimistic, with everything that happened. She figured she would have had to find another way to save her family, even if it was a darker road.
"Go get some rest," Riku said, knowing that this conversation probably wasn't going to go any further. "I'll see you in the morning." Until then, he would start his research. It meant a lot to Lightning and Terrian, and he couldn't let both of them down.

"Not tired," Light commented softly, faintly shaking her head. It was only a little after dinner, and she didn't want to go to bed yet. She had stayed up later than this last night despite how crazy that day had been, and how she fought Carson and he nearly killed her. She had a lot of stamina, and she planned on using it.
"'Kay," Riku said with a small nod. "Well, I'm gonna head out. I'll see you later, Light." He smiled faintly at her before starting down the hall again. He didn't know why, but he didn't feel like it would be right to kiss her, even on the cheek.

Lightning nodded faintly, watching Riku go for a second before she turned and started in the other direction. That was awkward, at least for her. She sighed and lifted a hand to her head, looking down at the ground. This is just terrific. I can't even be around him and feel okay. In the past, he always made her feel better...and now it was almost the opposite.

Later

Kairi slept comfortably in her bed alongside her husband, her back to him as she breathed evenly. Throughout the night, however, she started sensing Darkness in her dreams; they turned into nightmares. What was the worst about them was that they were about her family. Sora and Lydia... They were both encircled by fire, trapped with no way to escape. No matter how many Blizzard spells Kairi cast, she could never douse the flames.

Sora grunted in his sleep, nuzzling his face into Kairi's red hair as he held her from behind. Ever since the events earlier that day, Sora hadn't stopped thinking about Maleficent. And now she was in his dreams, threatening his daughter and his wife. He held onto the latter tightly in his sleep, unaware that Lydia and Kairi were having nightmares as well. He just wanted this dream to end, so he didn't have to see them in such pain...
If Kairi weren't in such a deep sleep, she would have noticed Sora's tight hold on her, as well as Lydia's soft whines as she too slept in a room connected to theirs. She couldn't wake up from her nightmare just yet, too distraught at the fact that her family was surrounded by flames. Her daughter was screaming, and Sora was gazing at her with a fearful look in his amazing blue eyes. It was heartbreaking, which made Kairi whine softly in her sleep.
  • Author
Sora cried out to the witch who held onto Lydia's hand and Kairi's arm to leave them alone, but Maleficent only laughed. His wife was too weak from a previous battle to break away, and Lydia was crying in fear of the witch. She had the right to be afraid, because at that moment, both of the girls were devoured in dark flames. He screamed in horror, and in the real world, Sora gripped Kairi more tightly in his sleep, probably too tightly now.
Kairi released another whine when she saw her husband protect their daughter from a sudden splurge in the circle of flames. Sora's tight grip also got a reaction out of her, making her eyebrows furrow. She started waking up because of his tight grip, which also cut off some of her air supply. She grunted a little and opened her eyes slowly to see a dark room in front of her. "Mm?"
  • Author
Sora didn't hear Kairi's hum, nor did he realize how tightly he was holding onto her in his sleep. He did start to loosen his hold just a little, though, his nightmare starting to end. What was the point of it continuing now that his wife and daughter were dead in his eyes? The damage was done.
Kairi looked down when she felt a tight grasp over her stomach, seeing Sora's arms wrapped around her. But at that moment, she heard Lydia scream for "Mommy" and "Daddy". Kairi glanced up at the door that led to their daughter's room, catching the fear in her voice. "...Sora," she said, lifting a hand to set on his arm. Did Lydia have a nightmare as well?
  • Author
Sora grunted, both at Lydia's screaming and Kairi's soft voice. He pushed himself up into a sitting position and let Kairi go, blinking as he looked down at her. She was awake too, but probably because of Lydia's cry. The young man pushed himself off the bed and ignored his drowsiness as he went into his daughter's room and turned on the light, seeing her crying. Lydia...
