Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Kairi pushed herself up once Sora was out of the bed, watching him go into their daughter's room. She heard her crying, which always hurt Kairi. She never liked to know her little girl was so upset. But what could have happened to make her cry?

Sora knelt down as his daughter ran into his arms, and he scooped her off her feet. He felt her pajamas against his bare chest as he looked down at her, the little girl crying into his neck. He heard her whimpering something about a bad dream as he shushed her, his hand running over her back. She had bad dreams too? Lydia almost never had nightmares...
Kairi pushed herself up from the bed, crossing her arms over her plaid pajamas as she approached the door to Lydia's room. "...Sora?" she said softly once she was there. What was going on?

Sora kept running his hand over Lydia's back as he turned to face his wife, hearing their daughter calming down. "Nightmare," he revealed softly. Lydia woke up because of a bad dream. And while she wasn't saying what it was about, he imagined that it was bad. Just like his own had been.
Kairi blinked in shock, her eyes resting on the back of her daughter's head. "Her too?" she asked softly. Maybe it had been something they all talked about before dinner that scared Lydia, which then resulted in the nightmare. The fact that Kairi had one... She didn't know what that was about.

Sora arched a brow at Kairi, his hand finding the back of Lydia's head as she continued to calm down. "You too?" he asked softly. Not only had Lydia experienced bad dreams, but so had he, and apparently Kairi had too. All three of them having nightmares the same night? That was too weird to be coincidence...
Kairi nodded, her arms tightening over her chest as the memories came rushing back. That fire... It had been so familiar, somehow. The Darkness she'd sensed; it wasn't strange that it showed up. Something about it just seemed fitting, because it was that way for more than one reason. She could just feel it.

Sora frowned, looking over at the ground. "Something's up," he murmured, mostly to himself. He could sense a faint Darkness in the air, one that hadn't been there when he fell asleep. He glanced down at Lydia, protective of her. And then he looked up to the other woman he was protective of. What's going on here?
Kairi caught the look Sora was giving her, and her eyes only softened. He was being protective again, which she always appreciated seeing, but this was something she felt couldn't have been stopped. There was just more to this than that. She approached the man she gave herself to, also walking to be by her daughter. She stopped and set a hand on Lydia's back, gazing at her for a moment before her sight switched over to Sora. Something was up, but what?

I should check to make sure everything's okay... Sora thought, even if the Darkness didn't seem threatening. It was a nuisance that gave them nightmares, but it didn't seem like they were going to be attacked. He just wondered if this Darkness was lingering because Maleficent was here earlier. Yeah, that was probably it.
Kairi let her eyes rest on her husband a little longer, but then she looked at Lydia. "Let's bring her back to bed with us," she suggested gently. She knew Lydia wouldn't be able to fall asleep on her own, not after a nightmare. It was rare that she had them, which made them that much more frightening for her. My poor girl...

"Yeah," Sora agreed softly, glancing down at their daughter. He kept his hand on the back of her head as he started out of the room, trusting that Kairi would turn out the light after they were out. He would try to fall right back asleep, and he hoped Lydia would be able to do the same. And Kairi too, of course. He was sure that the lingering Darkness would fade by the morning.
Kairi turned and followed Sora out, flipping the switch so the lights in Lydia's room went out. She wasn't sure what happened to make all three of them have nightmares, but she hoped they caught a break so they could get some rest.

Sora reached the bed first, and he sat down so that Lydia would be on his one side and Kairi would be on his other. After his nightmare, he wanted to have both of them be close to him. He was just so protective of them, since he loved them with all his heart. He and Kairi had been married around six years, and his love for her only grew since their wedding day. And his love for his daughter also grew every day since she was first conceived. These two were his closest family, his life. He wouldn't let them go.
Kairi climbed into bed, seeing how Sora was positioning them on the mattress. She didn't object, curling up next to him and setting a hand on his chest as her head rested on his shoulder. She saw her daughter snuggle up to him on his other side, which made her smile. Such a Daddy's girl.

Sora wrapped one arm around Kairi when she was close, and he did the same with his daughter. He smiled faintly despite the circumstances, glad to have his family close. And he was glad that they could depend on him to be strong when they were upset or vulnerable. His family meant everything to him, and he was trying to be the best father and husband he could be. He would never give up that goal.
Kairi didn't have to tell Lydia to close her eyes; she did it as soon as she was in Sora's hold. The young woman hummed softly before closing her eyes as well, letting herself relax in her husband's arms. She doubted there would be any nightmares for her or Lydia now; they were too comfortable, too safe.

Namine was already awake, having woken up a few minutes ago because of her own bad dream. And Aiden was crying too, though she didn't know her baby was awake because of a nightmare as well. She sat on the couch in the suite she and Roxas lived in, and she shushed her son as she buried her face in his blond hair. Please stop crying... she begged, shedding tears of her own frustration and sorrow as she held her son close to her. She couldn't get Aiden to quiet down. My baby...
Roxas had woken up the moment Aiden started crying, which wasn't exactly a good wake up call. But he was having a nightmare anyway, so he was actually kind of grateful for the interruption, though he would never want something so awful to happen to his son. He was leaning against the wall, his hands at his sides as he stared down at the ground. He felt like a terrible father; he didn't know what to do for his son.

Namine lifted a hand to her son's blond hair as she shushed him again, his hair getting wet because of her tears. She probably wasn't helping since she was upset too, but how couldn't she be with the awful dream she had? She had lost them...her family. She kept her face in Aiden's hair, unsure where or what Roxas was doing. She hoped that he was still asleep.
Roxas lifted his gaze to his family after a moment, remembering the awful dream he'd had over a few hours of the night. He dreamed of Smith, the man that had tortured him and Namine for so long in the past. He had...murdured Namine, and taken his son. Roxas closed his eyes at the thought, shaking his head slightly. That will never happen. Never. Nobody will get near them.

Namine ran her hand over Aiden's hair and back, hearing him start calming down. It was probably just because he was so tired, since he hadn't slept much lately. She wished so badly that he could go back to sleep right now and forget whatever it was that was making him so upset, but life wasn't always fair like that. She wanted to sleep and forget her horrible dream too, but she knew she wouldn't forget anytime soon.
Roxas pushed himself away from the wall, approaching the woman he loved. The lamp helped him see his wife and child well, the young man stopping in front of the couch and offering his hands out for his son. I'll take him, he told Namine silently.

Namine hadn't previously known that Roxas was awake, but she heard his footsteps when he walked over to her just now. She shook her head faintly against her son's hair, seeing Roxas's hands out of the corner of her eye. She didn't want to let go, and besides, Aiden was finally calming down. Now she just needed to do the same.
Roxas released a soft breath and lowered his hands, turning to sit beside Namine on the couch. He lifted his arm and wrapped it around her shoulders, making sure not to accidentally hit Aiden. "C'mere," he muttered softly. He knew Namine well enough that he could tell she was upset, but he didn't know what about. Was it because Aiden was fussy again?
