Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Namine scooted over closer to Roxas, sure that her tears were absorbed into Aiden's soft hair as she let her head rest on his shoulder. Aiden also moved over on her lap so that he was closer to Roxas as well, the two of them looking to Roxas for strength and comfort. Aiden was already calming down to the point where he wasn't crying, and Namine was the same. She couldn't let this nightmare get to her.
Roxas felt Namine and Aiden against his bare chest, and he turned his head to kiss his son's head. He then let his face rest in Namine's hair. He wasn't sure what was bothering either of them, but it would be okay. They were all strong, and even if Aiden didn't seem like it now, Roxas had a feeling his son had a strong will. He would pull through.

"Did Aiden wake you?" Namine whispered to her husband, feeling his face against her hair. She hoped that wasn't the case, because she tried to take Aiden to this room before he disturbed Roxas. He deserved his rest, since he worked hard for all of the people in this house, especially Namine, Aiden, and his apprentice. He should have had the freedom to get the sleep he needed.
"Mm," Roxas hummed softly, his eyes falling closed. But it wasn't just Aiden; his nightmare was bad enough that he wanted to be awake. He knew his son would never mean to wake him up. He was hardly a year old, after all.

Namine shut her eyes, having feared that answer. "Sorry," she murmured. "I tried to let you sleep." She had already been awake when Aiden started crying, so she quickly carried her son to this room that was attached to the bedroom. But clearly Aiden's screaming was still enough to wake Roxas.
Roxas pulled his head back a little, instead letting his chin rest on top of Namine's head. "...I wasn't really sleeping, anyway," he admitted softly. He was sleeping too lightly that anything could have woken him up. It wasn't Namine's fault.

Namine hummed softly, nodding ever so slightly. She didn't ask why, just assuming that Roxas was sleeping lightly tonight. It would have been too weird to think that the two of them would have such terrible nightmares the same night, since they hardly ever had horrific dreams like those.
"Just try to relax," Roxas said softly, closing his eyes again. "Aiden will fall asleep soon." Then, they could go back to bed for a few more hours. It was the middle of the night, nearly morning. They had a big day tomorrow, so they had to rest up.

"Easier said than done," Namine commented softly. "It'll hard to sleep again, since I was woken up by a nightmare." She didn't remember who the villain was that took away her family, only that it happened. And that was all that she needed to remember to feel shaken up.
Roxas ran his hand over Namine's arm upon hearing those words. She had a nightmare too? "That makes two of us," he said softly. He had one too, and it scared him to death. It was hard just to remember.

Namine blinked at the words, opening her eyes to look up at Roxas even if his chin was on the top of her head. "You too?" she asked quietly. How was that even possible? Roxas didn't often have nightmares, and neither did she. If the two of them had them in one night, maybe Aiden had one as well. Maybe they all ate something...She had no clue how this could happen.
"Mm," Roxas hummed softly. "...It was awful." He released a small breath at the thought, his eyebrows furrowing. Smith... He was still haunting him after all this time. Roxas thought he had outgrown that kind of fear.

Namine closed her eyes again, knowing that must have been the truth. "I'm sorry..." she said softly without thought. She never wanted to hear that, no matter what the case. She wouldn't ask what it was about, because if it was as bad as her nightmare, then surely Roxas didn't want to talk about it.
"Don't be," Roxas whispered softly, having noticed only moments ago that Aiden had fallen asleep already. He lowered his head and kissed Namine's head of blonde hair, holding the position. He was just glad he truly had her. He never wanted to lose her...or Aiden. They were his life.

Namine exhaled a soft breath, continuing to hold Aiden as Roxas held her. She was exhausted, so even after such a terrible dream, she had a feeling that she could sleep again. She wouldn't bother going to bed, nor would she take Aiden to his in case he had another nightmare. He was safe in her arms, and she was safe in Roxas's.
Roxas pulled back enough to nuzzle his face into Namine's hair, the young man allowing himself to relax where he was. The couch wasn't his and Namine's bed, but he was with his family. That was more than enough.

Lightning woke up with a start, bolting upright in her bed. She just dreamed that Riku...murdered her family. Literally, he stabbed all of them in the heart and then whisked her away from them. But not before he slapped her in the face for starting to grieve and not go with him willingly. It was similar in some ways to what really happened just two or three days ago, only he didn't kill her family in that way. She pushed herself up from the bed and started walking, wearing a pair of sweatpants and a tank-top that was lent to her by Aqua. She needed to see Riku.
Riku slept on his stomach, stretched out across a large couch. He had one arm off the couch, the other tucked under one of the couch pillows he used for some comfort. He had gotten back from searching for the materials he needed to make a watch, which took as long as he thought it would. He left just after dinner and got back just after midnight. He wasn't surprised. But the nightmare that intruded on his rest was something else entirely.

Light walked out to the lounge, and that was where she saw Riku still asleep in his jeans instead of more comfortable clothes. She stared at him for a moment, eyes softer than they should have been considering her dream...and reality. He killed her family. In the dream, he viciously murdered them. In real life, he made her drop them so they fell to their deaths. But she knew that if the looked up their deaths in any records that existed, Riku wouldn't have been anywhere in those papers. Because it was the Maker that killed them and the rest of Cocoon and Gran Pulse. Revelation shone in her eyes. It wasn't Riku...
The nightmare was one Riku had time and time again, a day that he hated to recall. But if it was lingering in the back of his mind, he couldn't stop it from surfacing. Sora had gotten him from Halloween Town that day, where he had been taking care of a "pest" problem with the Heartless. He'd dropped everything the moment Sora said the woman he loved was in trouble, and he soared for Cocoon. But...Cocoon was no longer there, Gran Pulse the last part of the world left standing.

It wasn't your fault, no matter what you said before, Light thought, seeing Riku sound asleep on the couch. He said he killed them, but he didn't. The Maker did. The only thing that Riku was responsible for was saving her life, and now he was also taking the responsibility to set things right. How could she be angry at him when his intentions were good? He cared about their deaths now; he cared about her heart rather than just preserving her life. This man on the couch was the Riku that she loved. The Riku she would always love.
The moment Riku and Sora entered the atmosphere of Gran Pulse, he ended up having to dodge tons of debris and obstacles among the chaos. Riku's eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly at the recollection, though he was still sound asleep. The moment he and Sora managed to get out of the mess, they were forced to fight off soldiers that were in their way. He hadn't even seen his beloved struggling, though he did shout her name in his nightmare. She didn't respond, and she never would.

Lightning's feet carried her forward, and she wordlessly sat down in front of the couch. She leaned her back against it and sat next to the arm that was dangling over the side. She didn't dare touch Riku, assuming that he was still a light sleeper. She'd let him sleep; she just needed to be near him. She finally realized now that she could forgive him for what he did, because he didn't really do anything wrong. Like he said...they would have died anyway. But now that he saved her, they could work together to save her family from the Maker. This was not the end of everything.
Riku saw the Maker that day. He saw it causing tons of destruction on Gran Pulse, the crevices carved into the land a small example of all that happened. It only made him worry more and more about Lightning. He couldn't get to her early on, forced to defend himself against the soldiers that were obviously siding with the Maker. However, moments later, he was able to move further onto the land. It was there that he saw the worst sight of all. Lightning's body.

Light shut her eyes after glancing over at the arm that dangled next to her. She wanted to hold his hand; she wanted to tell him she was sorry for not seeing the truth sooner. He saved her. He didn't kill her friends in the process, he just...didn't save them. He couldn't! But he would, and she would be right there by his side to save them. There was still hope.
