A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

Lightning's lips turned up in a slightly bitter smile, her gaze down on her lap as her head rested against Riku's arms. "Nightmares aren't all bad," she commented softly. "They can get you to see things from a different perspective." And the perspective she had in her dream helped her see that in reality, Riku didn't kill her family.

Riku hummed softly but didn't reply any more than that. Lightning was saying that her nightmare changed her mind, and he guessed it had to be pretty awful to do that. He lowered his gaze to her hand against his, taking in the feeling. For the last seven years he went without her touch, and now that he had it, he had to lose it. She couldn't stay here with him forever; she had to go back.

Lightning's smile went away after a few moments, and she shut her eyes again. She just wanted all of this to end. She wouldn't feel at peace until things were set right, or so she thought. Riku had the ability to give her peace in the middle of a storm before, but she assumed this storm was too big for him to make her temporarily forget.

"...Hey," Riku said after a minute, squeezing Lightning's hand. "Come here." He moved a little to roll onto his side, that way she could come up onto the couch with him. After his nightmare, he wanted to have her close.

Lightning released Riku's arm when he moved, the young woman looking over her shoulder and seeing his new position. She hummed softly and stood up off the ground, smoothing out her sweatpants and tank top before she laid down in the space that Riku had open. This was one of the first times in a while they were so close.

Riku wrapped his arm that wasn't under the pillow around Lightning's side, his hand resting on the small of her back as he gazed at her. She was incredibly close now, but that was perfectly alright with him. The last time they were this close, she was crying. He hoped he didn't make that happen again.

Lightning gazed at Riku in silence, seeing him do the same as their faces were right in front of each other. She felt like she was holding her breath, but she didn't know why. Maybe it was because she had longed to be in Riku's arms for so long, and this was the first time that it actually felt right. She could be in his arms without guilt now, thank goodness. She could finally feel safe with him again.

Riku's eyes darted over Lightning's face, from her eyes to her freckles, which made him smile ever so slightly. He then looked to her nose and then her lips. His eyes lingered there for a moment, the young man realizing that he hadn't kissed her once since he brought her back. His aqua eyes lifted to her pale blue, just gazing at her in silence.

Lightning moved her head closer to Riku's, just moving an inch so the tip of her nose touched his. She kept her pale blue eyes on his aqua ones, though she realized that just a few seconds ago he had been gazing elsewhere. It didn't take a genius to figure out what he was thinking about; he was a typical guy in a lot of ways. But so extraordinary in others.

Riku closed his eyes for a brief moment at the close proximity, his smile melting away as he took this in. How long had it been since he really, really held the woman he loved? Far too long in his eyes, though it had only been days in Light's. He was glad that she was finally with him again. But he would send her back; it was something he just had to do.

Light noticed how Riku kept his eyes shut, and after a few seconds, she moved so she was even closer to him. She set a hand on his chest and let her eyes dance over his matured face for a moment before she closed her eyes and gently connected her lips with his in a kiss. He wanted this, and so did she.

Riku's eyebrows furrowed at the kiss, but not because it was a bad thing; he was upset that he hadn't done this sooner. He kissed Lightning in return, pressing his hand lightly against her back. He'd waited for this moment for so long...

A hundred memories flashed before Lightning's mind, the young woman remembering how many kisses she shared with Riku in the past. And she remembered when she went to the future before and she kissed that Riku. It had been his first kiss in five years, and he had gotten pretty urgent with the kiss. She wondered if Riku would act the same way now, or if he would continue to be gentle and soft.

Riku kept the kiss gentle for a moment, but when he realized how much he missed Lightning and being this way with her, the kiss turned a little more passionate. I love you, he thought silently, wishing he could tell her as much. But would it be too much?

Light fought the urge to smile, finding Riku's behavior to be pretty predictable. Riku... she thought, though she kissed him in return even when things became more passionate. She had missed him too, after all. She hadn't kissed him or been in his arms for almost a month because of the Lindblum and everything that went along with that.

Riku moved his hand up Lightning's back briefly before he grasped the fabric of her tank top, continuing to kiss her. She didn't pull back, so he assumed this was okay, and he was actually relieved of that. He wanted to express how much he missed her and loved her right now, but if that wasn't possible with a kiss, he would find some other way.

Lightning gently pulled back after a few more moments, needing to breathe. She kept her eyes shut and felt her bangs over her closed eyes, but she didn't care. She was just...happy. For the first time in a very long time, she was actually happy. Or maybe "at peace" was a better way to describe her emotions. She was better now that she was in Riku's arms again.

Riku kept his eyes closed, his forehead against Light's as they lay on the couch. He exhaled a soft breath once the kiss was done, though his hold remained secure around her. He didn't want her to go now that he had her, at least for the night.

Lightning felt Riku's secure hold around her as she relaxed in his embrace, glad he was holding onto her. If he wasn't, then she would have fallen off the edge of the couch, since the couch was barely large enough for the two of them even if they were really close. Falling off the couch definitely wasn't something she planned on doing.

Riku let the silence linger around the room as he kept his arms around Lightning. "...Can you do me a favor?" he asked softly. There was something he needed her to do for him.

"What is it?" Light asked softly, opening her eyes and looking at the young man directly in front of her. She couldn't commit to something unless she knew what she was getting into; it was common sense. But despite that, she would do just about anything Riku asked. She loved him unconditionally.

"...When you go back," Riku started softly, keeping his eyes closed, "see me as soon as you possibly can." He was worried over her as soon as Sora said that Cocoon was under attack. But when he saw it for himself, he was terrified. He had never been so scared in his life.

Lightning hummed quietly, nodding faintly as well. "Where can I find you?" she asked, her voice hushed as she closed her eyes. Obviously Riku wasn't on Gran Pulse at the time of her death. Or if he was, she hadn't seen him that day. Everything escalated so quickly...First Carson, and then the Maker. And then she was whisked off to the future. She had thought for sure she would die, and apparently she did, but she was alive now.

"I found you not too long after you..." Riku started, though his voice faded. He swallowed at the memory, though he kept going. "...Five minutes after you tried helping your friends I was there. I'll be there again, and I'll need you to find me, okay?" Time travel was tricky, and he had some news to share with Lightning, but not tonight. He would do it later, when they were more serious about things other than their emotional connection to one another.

Lightning softened at Riku's words, and his tone. "Okay," she whispered. She would try to be with him as soon as she could. It just depended on what happened that day, because she had to take care of her family too. She still didn't know how she would save them...
