Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

"And if you can't," Riku said after a short moment, "I'll find you. I did anyway." If he found her once, he would find her again. It was a logical way of thinking about it, considering the past.

Light nodded faintly against Riku's forehead, understanding. She just needed to focus on her family once she got back, and as soon as they were taken care of, she'd look for Riku. But there were only five minutes between her death and his arrival? That was...sad. Not that he could have helped her, but...She couldn't imagine what that day was like on his side of things.
Riku didn't say anything after that, just silently holding Lightning. He didn't want to let her go, ever, but he had to. She didn't belong here, not with him in this time. He hoped that she belonged with him, of course, but she needed to get back to where she was meant to be.

Claire exhaled a soft breath through her nose, not bothering to speak again. She was still close to the edge of the couch, and any movement would probably result in her falling off. But she wasn't about to move away from Riku, or break the silence to reveal her position. If he let go...
Riku opened his eyes after a moment, gazing at the woman in front of him. He moved his hand along her back, loosening his hold as he took in a breath. He had something to tell her. "Listen, Light..."

Light's eyes opened when Riku let go of her, and she felt herself slip off the couch immediately. She had a grip on Riku's shirt briefly, but she lost the grip when she rolled off the couch. She grunted when she landed on her back, staring up at the ceiling in disgust. I knew that was going to happen... And because of that thought, her disgust started turning to amusement. She just fell off a couch; it was kind of funny.
Riku's eyes widened, but when he realized what happened, his surprise turned into amusement. He closed his eyes, beginning to laugh. Just a minute ago things were so serious, but a simple accident could change the aura in the room suddenly. It was weird how things like that happened.

Lightning heard Riku's laughter, and that only encouraged her to feel more amused than ticked off. She closed her eyes and smiled her first real smile in a long time, soft chuckles leaving her lips. She had been depending on Riku so much that the moment he loosened his hold on her, she rolled off the couch. It was pretty funny.
Lightning's laughter only encouraged Riku to keep doing the same thing. A short minute later, his chuckles faded, the young man rolling over to look down at the person on the floor. "Klutz," he told her jokingly.

Light's smile remained as she kept her eyes shut, having been called a klutz by Riku before. "Jerk," she taunted in return. He let her fall, and then he started laughing at her. That would have been pretty mean except for the fact that this was all pretty humorous.
Riku smirked, but he didn't retort. He was a jerk sometimes, he had to admit. And Lightning had called him that before when they were joking around, so he would accept it in that way tonight. She still loved him, he was sure.

Lightning opened her eyes, gazing up at Riku and seeing that he wasn't about to retort. "Letting a girl fall and then laughing at her isn't very classy," she said, stating the obvious. But Riku had never been a perfect gentleman; he had said as much about himself in the past. Some things never change.
Riku lifted an eyebrow. "Who said anything about being classy?" he asked then. As if he was ever classy, at least in casual conversation. When he was trying he could be, but he hadn't tried since the day he took Lightning to Nautilus. That had been a bust.

"I just did. Weren't you listening?" Lightning asked with an arched brow, shooting a question right back at Riku. He really wasn't that classy, but he was genuine and sweet. And determined, strong, passionate...He was everything that she could ever want.
"I was too busy being a jerk," Riku said with the same smirk. "Sorry." He then rolled over to be on his back, staring up at the ceiling. He liked being able to have fun with Lightning for once. It'd been far too long since he heard her laugh.

"Yeah, sure you are," Light said with a sigh, lifting her arms and setting them behind her head as she stared upwards. She was sure that Riku wasn't really sorry, because there was really nothing to be sorry for. They were just fooling around for the first time in...years. For her, it was weeks, but for him, it was years. It was so weird how that worked.
"Hmph." Riku closed his eyes, knowing that it wouldn't make a difference if they were open or closed because of the darkness of the room. If he had a say in anything, he would have been married to Lightning by now. But...nothing ever went according to plan.

"An apology isn't always enough to set things right, you know," Lightning continued softly, jokingly. Riku pushed her off the couch, but he didn't help her up at all. Instead, he was just hogging the whole piece of furniture. How gentleman-like.
"I know that," Riku said, his smirk fading. He apologized for everything that Lightning went through earlier, and yet he knew that wouldn't fix every problem she had. He still had to take her back; that was how he would ultimately solve the problem. "So what do you suggest I do?"
  • Author
"You could start by helping me up, if you're not planning on shoving me off the couch again once I'm up there." Lightning didn't really care if that was what Riku did, though; she was just answering the question. She didn't mind being on the floor, since she had laid in more uncomfortable places than this. Like Gran Pulse...
Riku sighed dramatically before pushing himself up into a sitting position. He pushed himself off the couch and straddled Lightning since she was right next to the couch, holding out his hands for her to take. He would do as she asked.

Light looked at Riku, seeing his expression and hearing his dramatic sigh. "I'm not going to cooperate if you're going to have an attitude like that," she said smartly, keeping her hands behind her head as she stared up at the young man she loved. Of course, he wasn't as young as he once was, but he was only twenty-six. He was older than her now.
Riku rolled his eyes. "You've got to be kidding," he said, letting his hands fall. Was Lightning really playing this game? As much as he loved it, he just wanted to hold her. Was that too much to ask?
  • Author
"Nope," Lightning said simply, shutting her eyes. She wasn't kidding. She was, however, messing with Riku while she could. Now that she didn't feel awkward around him, she felt free to act this way again. It had been a while since she did anything that could be considered silly, and even she, the tough, stoic soldier, missed this type of behavior.
Riku bent down, leaning his hands against his knees as he looked at the woman before him. "Are you that desperate for my attention, Light?" he asked with a tilt of his head. He was teasing her now, playing along with this little game they were having.
