Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Yeah, I guess," Terrian said with a shrug. He really didn't know what to expect from this, though, since he had never seen Lightning fight. He wondered what her motives were for facing him now, and he figured maybe it was partial revenge for Terrian knocking her out the other day. That was a fair reason, but he wasn't going to let her knock him out today.
This should be interesting, Riku thought, allowing his Keyblade to disappear. "I guess this will be your first dose of fresh meat," he told his student, then looking to his girlfriend. Terrian had never fought her before, which meant it would be just like fighting a new enemy. He started walking to where Lightning was, meaning to take his spot on the sidelines.

Terrian "hmphed", watching Lightning enter the area with her sword by her side. She told him not to hold back as she got into her stance with one arm down in front of her stomach while the other arm held her sword by her side. He wasn't planning on holding back in the first place. He had to admit, though, she had an advantage. She knew how he fought, and he didn't have the same knowledge about her.
Riku crossed his arms and leaned against a wall on the sidelines, facing the room so he could get a good view. He was going to root for his student, of course, since this was his training session. He believed he could handle Lightning's moves; he just had to remember everything Riku taught him about facing enemies. If he did that, Terrian would be fine.

Lightning initiated the fight with Terrian, staying in her Ravager Paradigm and dealing magic-based attacks. She could handle sword-to-sword if she wanted to, but she fought in this style to prove a point to Riku. Terrian didn't know how to handle himself with these distance attacks. He knew how to dodge them, but he didn't know how to deal critical blows at a distance. Light grunted when Terrian finally was able to get close to her and he hit her arm with the Keyblade, though she quickly shifted her gunblade and forced him away. He was good, but there was a lot of room for improvement.
Riku watched Terrian closely, paying attention to his footwork and how he blocked attacks. He was intelligent, though, so he saw what Lightning was doing. He needs work with distance, he realized after a good five minutes of the fight passed by. That was what Riku needed to focus on.

Lightning surprised Terrian by kicking him in the chest, knocking him back a few feet so his back hit the wall. And before he could move, Light was there, an arm across his chest and sword pointed at him. "Not bad," she said softly, panting because of the fight that was a little challenging. Riku taught Terrian well for the most part.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed when he saw what happened, but he kept his position against the wall. All that time he spent focusing on getting Lightning back was time he neglected to teach Terrian some important defense. That was a fault on his part.

Light stepped back and gave Terrian some room, seeing how heavily he was breathing. She turned her head and looked over at the Keyblade Master, her weapon down by her side. "I think your five minutes are up, old man," she said softly, her breathing starting to calm now that the fight was over.
Riku nodded, pushing himself away from the wall and uncrossing his arms. He started toward his student and the love of his life, not prepared to summon his Keyblade just yet. He had to think this through, and figure out how he was going to teach Terrian to defend himself against magic and cover more ground.

Terrian pushed himself away from the wall, lifting an arm and wiping at the sweat that formed on his brow. He glanced at the clock in the room and noticed that training was almost over, so his fight with Lightning must have lasted longer than he thought. Seeing her fighting abilities and grace made him see more why Riku admired her so much. She was really strong.
Riku stopped next to Lightning, glancing at her before his eyes fell on Terrian. "I think you put him through more work than I have all morning," he acknowledged lowly. He was proud of Terrian for doing his best, but Lightning had years of training under her belt. Terrian would get there soon enough, as long as Riku had a say in it.

Light shrugged faintly, not about to rub anything in Riku's face. She just knew how to train people, since she had been trained by instructors in the past. "I had him focused on dodging and defense; that takes more energy sometimes." But of course, Riku knew that. She was just saying that her methods of training required more effort, especially since Terrian seemed to be lacking a good defense.
Riku fought the urge to sigh, knowing that he was doing something wrong. Terrian needed more training in defense. "That's all for today, my man," he told his student with a small nod and smile. He had enough for today.

Terrian smiled weakly, nodding as well as he summoned his Keyblade away. "Yes, Master," he said softly, dipping his head slightly again in respect. Riku had his respect again after yesterday, since he showed patience and accepted him even when he should have shoved him away. Terrian misjudged him when he was angry, and now he had more respect for his Master than he had before. That said a lot, considering that he respected him a lot before.
Riku's smile remained, the young man nodding once to Terrian. He told him once before that the bowing wasn't necessary, but he did it anyway. It wasn't that big of a deal, so he let it slide. It was just a sign of respect. Riku assumed his apprentice would go find his friends before lunch came around, since he was done training for today.

Light watched Terrian go, probably off to find his friends or do chores or something. That left her alone with Riku once again, not that she minded too much. But they were both a little sweaty from training, and Lightning had just showered this morning.
Riku watched his student go, and once he was gone, he turned his head to look at the woman beside him. He was curious about whether or not they would spend time together today, since he needed to give Terrian some space to think about the other part of their discussion. While he did that, Riku could either go get more materials, spend time with Lightning, or do both.

Lightning looked over at Riku when she felt his gaze on her, and she hummed shortly in question. What're you thinking about? Riku probably changed a lot over the past seven years, but some of his expressions hadn't, so Light could read him at least a little bit.
"I'm having a hard time deciding what I want to spend my day doing," Riku said, recognizing the look of curiosity on Lightning's face. "Do I spend my time with you, or getting to work on that watch?" He crossed his arms over his broad chest, tilting his head slightly as he gazed at her. She was involved either way, but he wasn't sure which one was more important.
  • Author
"Is that a rhetorical question?" Light asked with an arched brow, putting away her sword as she looked up at Riku. She hoped that it was, because she couldn't decide which was more important. She needed to get back and save her family, but she also needed to be with Riku to make the grief from their deaths go away. What was the right thing to do?
Riku shrugged. "I don't know," he said honestly. He really couldn't decide what to do here. If he could, he wanted both, but how would that work?
  • Author
"How much work do you have to do?" Light asked, though she was slightly afraid to voice that inquiry. What if it was a lot? What if it would take Riku months to remake the watch? Or what if it was even longer than that? She could get used to this peaceful time, but she didn't want to. She wanted to have her family back.
"I got lucky last night and found a few of the materials needed," Riku said, glancing across the room as he recalled what worlds he visited. "The longer I'm away looking, the faster I'll find them." It made sense to him. If he didn't waste time here, he could get the watch together more quickly for Lightning to go home, and possibly Terrian as well. He knew how important it was to them to have their lives back.

Light hummed softly, noticing how Riku didn't give her any solid answer for how long this would take. The last one took him seven years, so she wasn't feeling too optimistic. She couldn't survive seven years without her family; she just couldn't. She wasn't strong enough to.
