Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku turned his head to look at Lightning again, and because he got better at observing people over the years, he knew what the look in her eyes meant. "...Have some faith," he said softly, and a little sadly. Did she doubt his methods or something? She didn't seem like she was thrilled that he was getting to work.

Lightning blinked when Riku was able to read her, that surprising her. He hadn't seen her for seven years, so she figured he wouldn't be able to decipher her so well. "What?" she said dumbly, even though she knew what he was talking about. Riku couldn't really blame her for being a little pessimistic; her loved ones were all gone except for him and Ven.
"I made a promise to you, Lightning," Riku said, lowering his arms to his sides, "and I plan to live up to it. I'll get you back, alright?" He would leave for twenty-four hours if that helped settle her worries. He just wanted her to be happy.

Light shook her head softly, looking down at the ground. "I don't doubt your intentions," she said quietly. She just didn't see how this would work. It took Riku seven years to build the last watch. Seven years. He couldn't just whip out another, no matter how badly he wanted to.
"Then why do I get the feeling that you are?" Riku asked gently, his eyebrows furrowing. Lightning may have said that, but he still had his own doubts about her thoughts. If she was having any second thoughts about this, she needed to let him know.

Lightning decided to be honest, not that she wasn't being that way before. She just wasn't voicing all her concerns, and she wasn't doing that even now. But what she was about to say was really important. "It took you seven years to build the first watch. And I'm sure those years were necessary for you to make it. So how can you just make another one so quickly? Or is this one going to take years too?" If it was...she didn't know what she'd do.
Riku shook his head at the words. "The last one didn't take seven years, Light," he said in his own defense. "Think about it. The last seven years I've been too busy mourning that I could barely train Terrian this last year." If anything, the watch took less than a year, he had been so determined.

Lightning didn't understand something because of Riku's explanation, but she didn't voice it. He just randomly thought of going back in time and saving her somewhere along the line? That must have been the case, because if he thought of it seven years ago, he would have started on the watch immediately. But he still wasn't saying how long this watch would take to make...
Riku turned to stand in front of Lightning, lifting his hands to cup either side of her face. His eyes softened at the look in hers, something he couldn't help. He knew she was still grieving the loss and covering it up well, but she had to try and be patient. He would get her back to her family. He promised.

Light kept her gaze on the ground when Riku held her face, though she could feel his gaze on her. She assumed Riku was going to tell her just to have faith, and she did have faith that it was possible to make another watch. She just didn't believe it could be made quickly enough for her. She couldn't survive without her family. Riku made it seven years without her, but she couldn't make it even one year without Serah, Snow, Hope, and Sazh and Dahj. She wasn't that strong.
Riku recognized that Lightning wasn't going to look up at him, so he leaned forward and gave her a light kiss on her forehead. He closed his eyes with the action, holding the position for a moment before he pulled back. "I'm going to make this work, even if it's the last thing I do," he told her, determination in his voice. "I hate seeing you so down..."

Lightning closed her eyes, both at the kiss and at the words. "...What did you expect?" she whispered, referring to her being so down. Of course she was going to be sorrowful and grieve about her family, even if she could possibly save them. For now, they were dead. She couldn't deny that.
Riku only looked at Lightning, not answering that question. He wasn't sure what he expected, honestly, but he knew he wanted Lightning to be happy. He took his hands back slowly from her face, looking away. He would go now then, to get the stuff he needed. He wouldn't waste any time.

Light shook her head softly when Riku pulled away, her bangs shifting over her closed eyes. "Don't..." she said quietly, surprising herself. Don't pull away. I need you. She knew that she wanted him to get to work on the watch, but she couldn't be separated from him right now. If she was, she'd probably start crying again.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed slightly in curiosity, the young man looking back to the woman he loved. Don't what? he thought silently. Don't leave? But I have to... If she wanted the watch to be done, he had to go.

Light took a small step forward, leaning her forehead gently against Riku's front as her eyes remained shut. "...Not right now," she said softly. He could leave later, but at least for a few minutes, she wanted to stay close to him. That wasn't too much to ask, right? She hoped not, because that was what she was asking.
Riku looked down at Lightning, his eyes softening at her words, tone, and actions. He lifted his arms, wrapping them around her upper back. She was smaller compared to him now, since he'd gotten stronger. It only made him feel like he was protecting her more, though. He lowered his head to be next to hers, releasing a soft breath. If this was what she wanted, he would give it to her. He would give her anything she wanted.

Lightning felt Riku's strong arms go around her, and that also brought her closer to him. She leaned her head on his shoulder, her cheek against it as her face was towards the room. She vowed that she wouldn't cry, not like she had on Gran Pulse and not like she had after Riku broke the watch. She would be as strong as she could for as long as possible.
Riku didn't say anything at first, not sure what to even tell the woman he loved. But then, after a moment of silence, he came up with something. "...What I do from here on out depends on what you want," he whispered gently. "I'll give you your family back, even if it means that you have to leave again. But...in the end, we'll still have each other." Everything would work out. "That's what matters most." She would have her family, and he would have her. It was the way things were supposed to be, not like this.

Light hummed softly in response to Riku, her eyes remaining shut as she fought against the moisture that wanted to appear in her eyes. Her relationship with Riku did mean a lot, because he was the one person she ever loved romantically. And she knew that would always be the case, no matter what time period she was in. They had each other now, so they needed to work together to find a way to save her family. ...If it was possible.
Riku squeezed Lightning gently before looking out a window nearby. He continued to hold her, and his thoughts continued to revolve around her. He would take her back home, to her real home. She needed Serah and Snow, and Hope and Sazh and Dajh. He wasn't enough.

Lightning felt Riku's squeeze, and after a minute, she asked a question she had thought of earlier. "You have a book to help you make the watch, right?" she asked softly. "Can I see it?" She wanted to know how she could help. She wasn't going to mooch off of Riku and make him do all the work when she was the one who had to go back in time.
Riku loosened his hold at the mention of the book, nodding slightly as he started to pull away from the embrace. "Yeah, sure," he said softly. He didn't see why not, since it was just up on his room.

Lightning nodded softly, keeping her head on Riku's shoulder for another second or two before she pulled it away. She remained right in front of Riku, though, her eyes opening as she looked up at him. Lead the way, she thought in silence. She didn't know where the book was, so he would have to take her to it.
Riku caught Lightning's look, so he went on a head and led her to the west wing. It only took a few small minutes to make it to his room, where he approached the bookshelf on the far left wall. He went to the section where he normally kept the book, though his eyebrows furrowed when he didn't see it. That's weird...
