Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Skylar turned around in time to see Hallie reach a hand out toward Terrian, and he didn't know if he was being too sensitive, but it actually made him a bit...jealous? Was that the word? He shoved his hands into his pockets, following behind. He could sense Master Riku's footsteps behind him, but he kept his eyes on the ground. The only good things that came out of this were that they lived, Maleficent was dead, and that everyone back home was going to be proud of them. Especially Master Sora... At least I have that much going for me.

Lightning walked at the front of the group, ignoring the weakness she felt from being doused in Maleficent's Dark fire. She was so ticked...and sad. She had no clue what to do now. She needed her family, but they weren't here right now. And they never would be, because it would be impossible for her to go back and save them without a watch. They were permanently gone.
When everyone returned to the Land of Departure, nobody spoke. Riku didn't blame them, since he didn't have anything to say himself. The book he held so dear to him for the last year, something that was incredibly valuable, was nothing but ashes thanks to Maleficent. How were they going to go back in time now?

Lightning started walking up the stairs, hearing Hallie say that she was going to find Master Kairi. And she invited Skylar and Terrian to go with her, so at least the latter ran on ahead with her. Light didn't care what they did, because what mattered now? The book was gone, and so was her hope of going to the past and setting things right.
Riku briefly glanced over at the studnets, watching Skylar go ahead and follow Hallie and Terrian. He wasn't sure what they were going to do, but he had a feeling he would be with Lightning. If she wanted him around. With the book gone, she probably didn't want anyone near her, or so he guessed.

Light looked down at the ground as she and Riku walked up the stairs, the young woman remaining silent like she had the whole time. There really wasn't anything to say. Her family was truly dead now, and all that she wanted was to be in the grave with them. She had Riku and Ven, but she couldn't survive without her family. It was nothing against Riku and Ven; it was just how much her family meant to her.
Riku turned down the hall once he and Lightning reached the top of the stairs, going toward his room. He wasn't sure what else there was to do. Besides, he needed to pick up the books that he knocked over before anyway.

Out of the corner of her eye, Light saw Riku turn to head towards his room. She did the same, because that was where she planned on going anyway. She couldn't be with her family right now, so the only other place she wanted to be was to be in bed. She felt sick from sorrow and weakness from battle.
Riku pushed the door to his room open, knowing Lightning was following behind. He approached the bookshelf, seeing all of the books on the floor and deciding that he would need to pick them up before he got too distracted with depressing thoughts.

Light saw Riku heading towards the books, but she just kept walking to the bed. "I'm just going to sleep," she mumbled. There was no point in staying awake now and let misery overtake her. It was probably too late for that anyway. If she was grieving badly before, she was going to be even worse now.
"'Kay," Riku said, not bothering to glance back as he bent down to gather some books in his arms. He hadn't expected much else out of Lightning, and by the way she spoke now, he knew his suspicions were correct: she was devastated. He felt awful, but what could be done? The answer was most likely the biggest problem. Nothing.

Light only took off her sword bag before she crawled into bed without pulling up the blankets. She didn't care that she still wore her boots; it didn't matter. Nothing mattered now that her family was truly dead. There was no way to save them...any of them. And Lightning couldn't be saved from her devastation now.
For the next few minutes, Riku focused on picking up books and placing them on the shelves. Once he was done, he stared at the empty space on the shelf that belonged to the time travel book, which was now nothing but ashes. He sighed, running a hand through his short silver hair. What are we going to do?

Light had her eyes shut by the time Riku was done, and she was now laying on her stomach with her face in the pillow. She wasn't crying, though she was really upset. She had wanted to die before, because when her emotions were extreme, they were very extreme. It wasn't healthy. But neither was her losing all of her family in one incident.
Riku turned and looked to the woman he loved on the bed, then starting to approach her. Once he was next to her, he lowered himself so he could kiss her head of soft hair. He held the position for a minute before he pulled back, stepping away as well. He could only assume she would want some time to herself.

Lightning felt Riku's gesture and sensed him step away, since she wasn't asleep yet. She didn't bother responding to Riku's close presence, though. Even if he was close, there still wasn't anything to say. Nothing at all.
Riku turned, starting toward the door. Once he was near, he grabbed the handle and pulled the door closed behind him to leave Lightning in peace. He doubted that would be what she would focus on, however; there was no doubt in his mind that she would be depressed. And for a very long time.

A few days later

Lightning was still in bed in the middle of the day, awake but pretending to be asleep. She had eaten a few bites of lunch a little while ago, but she dismissed herself from the table full of happy people and went back to bed. And now, an hour or two later, she was alone, or so she thought. Ven had been with her for a while, just sitting on the edge of his sister's bed and rubbing her back in a brotherly way. But he had to leave eventually, so he was gone now.

Riku was just inside his room, leaning against the wall as he gazed at the person he loved. After a while, however, he gave her some privacy and instead stared down at the floor. There had to be something he could do, right? A book couldn't have been their last chance... There had to be something that could change the past.

Even if Lightning didn't sense Riku's presence, she still pretended to be asleep. That was easier than pretending to be alive. She remembered at the start of this how she told Riku she didn't know how to act alive when she felt so dead. The sorrow went away at first because there was at least a small glimmer of hope that she could save her family. Now there was no hope. Hope was dead.
The book is gone, so what's left? Riku wondered silently, closing his eyes. There was something... He could feel it. He worked on the watch a couple months ago, but he used the book to help him out. It would be best if only he could remember what he read! Riku opened his eyes, blinking in realization. That's it...

Light sighed and rolled over on the bed, on her stomach but her head turned to the side so that she could breathe. She had only cried once since the incident with Maleficent, and she wasn't planning on crying again. She was still proud, though she didn't know what she had to be proud of. Certainly not her strength, because she didn't have the strength to save her family. Or even herself.
Namine, Riku thought instantly. He just needed Namine; she could help him fix this mess. Of course, there was no doubt in his mind that this would take some convincing, since it could be dangerous. But that was a risk Riku was willing to take. The young man turned and walked out of the room silently, leaving the door partially open. If this worked...everything would be back on track.

Namine was currently in the kitchen, working on dinner since it was her turn to make it. She looked over her shoulder and smiled at Aiden, seeing her little boy in his bouncy chair laughing and enjoying himself. He was finally happy again, and sleeping at night. She couldn't have been more happy that her son was okay now.
Riku managed to run into Roxas on his way out of his room, who he asked to help find Namine. The blond told him she could be in the kitchen, since she was making dinner tonight. That was where Riku was heading now, and when he approached the door, he knocked politely on the wood. "Namine?" he called, poking his head in.
