Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Namine put down the spoon that was in her hand when she heard the call, the young woman turning her head to look at her friend in the door. "Hey, Riku," she greeted with a small smile. She hadn't seen him around much lately, since he was always keeping an eye on Lightning whether the soldier knew it or not.
Riku nodded slightly, stepping further into the kitchen and letting the door shut behind him. He briefly glanced at the laughing Aiden before looking back to his friend. "You got a few minutes?" he asked softly. He needed to talk to her, and ask for a favor.
  • Author
"Yeah, sure," Namine said with a small nod, glancing at the stove behind her and seeing she already took off the food. So she could talk to Riku without worrying about the food in the back of her mind. "What's up?" It seemed like there was something on his mind. Not that that was too surprising.
Riku crossed his arms over his chest. "I've figured out a way to get the information back from the book," he said, referring to the time travel novel that Maleficent destroyed. "If we go with the newest method, I'm going to need your help." His memory. He needed to retrieve all of the information from his memory.

"How can I help?" Namine asked, both confusion and willingness coming through in her voice. She didn't know what she could possibly do, but she wanted to help Riku and Lightning in any way that she could. He was one of her best friends, after all; no way was she going to not even consider helping him.
Riku thought of how risky this new method was, his eyebrows furrowing slightly. "...I need you to search my memories," he told Namine lowly. He needed those memories to reach the surface so he could make another watch.

Namine's eyes widened at the comment, and she immediately knew what her friend was saying. "Riku..." she said softly in protest. She hadn't used her powers in a few years, and the last time, it had been dire circumstances. She didn't like using her abilities, because there was always the chance she would mess things up in the subject's head. She didn't want to do that to Riku.
"It's the only option we have," Riku said in his defense, lowering his arms to his sides. "I studied the book day in and day out when I made the first watch. If you can bring those details to the surface, I can create another one." He had to do this... For Lightning.

"Do you realize how many memories I have to search through to bring back those details?" Namine asked, faintly shaking her head. It was a rhetorical question, so she just continued speaking. "I'd have to go to the base of the memory. That's at least a year..." There were so many ways that this could go wrong.
Riku shrugged slightly, stuffing his hands into his front pockets. "I have faith in you, Namine," he said kindly. "You did an awesome job with Sora's memories. You'll just be bringing some of mine to the surface. It can't be that bad." She could do it; he knew she could. It was just a matter of would she.

"I had to be extra careful with Sora, or he wouldn't have woken up. That took me a year, Riku. I don't think it'd take that long with you, but..." Namine had to tread very carefully if she was going to do this. She wouldn't rush through it despite how badly Riku needed the information.
"If you need to take your time with it, that's fine," Riku said with a small nod. "When it gets done, we'll have time on our side." He smirked ever so slightly at his pun, though it wasn't important. The idea itself was, since he needed to get Lightning back home. He didn't want to put any pressure on Namine, but she was his last hope.

Namine bit down on her lip, hesitating before she nodded in agreement. She would pull out if she had to; she wasn't going to risk permanent damage to Riku's mind. "Does Lightning know about this?" she asked, referring to Riku's plan to have Namine search his memories. If she didn't know, she should have.
Riku shook his head, glancing at Aiden as he bounced up in down in his chair. "No," he admitted, his smirk vanishing. "I don't plan on telling her until the day of. She doesn't need to stress with all that's going on." She was depressed, and she would lose her sanity if she found out he was putting himself at risk as well. But he would do it if he had to. He loved her, and he wanted nothing but happiness for her.

Namine nodded faintly once more, though she didn't quite agree with Riku's plans. Light should have had a hand in the decision, but she supposed that ultimately, this was up to Riku. So, it was best not to worry her, like Riku said. "When do you want to do it?" she asked, eyebrows furrowing slightly in seriousness. As long as somebody could watch over Aiden for her, she could do it anytime.
"As soon as possible," Riku said with a small nod. Whenever Namine was free, so was he. Other than training Terrian, his plans were open. He would tell Lightning soon, but he doubted that her opinion would change his mind. This was something only he could do, and he was willing to risk it.

"Tomorrow morning sound good?" Namine asked after a moment of thought. Surely she could get somebody to stay with Aiden tomorrow. And she didn't know how long the process would take, so it would be best to start early in the morning. If she was lucky, she could get it all done in one day.
Riku nodded, humming softly. "Thanks, Namine," he said with a faint smile. This was risky, but it had to be done to set things right. He then turned, starting out of the kitchen. He would leave her to finish cooking.
  • Author
Namine hummed, nodding faintly and watching Riku go. She would be very careful not to damage any of his memories. She knew that he understood the risk, and that even if he did trust her, things could go wrong. But she hoped that everything would be okay. If she succeeded, then things would be set right with Lightning.
Riku didn't speak to anyone until dinner, in which he sat next to Lightning once again. She barely ate anything, and everyone knew the reason why. They avoided it to the best of their ability, but once dinner was over, everyone separated. Riku walked with Lightning back to his room, where she was once again in the bed. He sat next to her and rubbed her arm silently, knowing that he still had to tell her his plans tomorrow morning. But how could he put more stress on her when she was already suffering?
  • Author
Light felt Riku rubbing her arm as she laid on her side, not facing towards him as she kept her eyes shut. She had never felt such grief before, not even when her parents died. She replaced that sorrow with fury, but this time, there was nothing to replace the sadness with. She didn't think she could be angry, because that took too much energy.
"Light?" Riku asked after another moment of silence. He had to tell her, because Namine would be getting to work on his memories first thing in the morning. "There's something I need to tell you..." He wasn't sure how she would take this, but either way, it was something that was going to be done.
  • Author
"Mm?" Light hummed softly in question, still feeling Riku's hand running over her arm. Hearing that always made her nervous, because she had no idea what to expect. Was Riku going to tell her to quit moping around and get over her grief? Forget about the past? She imagined him scolding her for her recent behavior, because she had never been this way before. He probably didn't like it.
"...I came up with a solution," Riku admitted gently, his hand stopping on Lightning's arm. "Tomorrow morning, Namine's going to search my memories for any details about making the watch." It would work; he just had this feeling. How couldn't it, when the memories would be so detailed? He remembered studying that book for hours. It would be alright.
  • Author
Light opened her eyes, looking over her shoulder a little to look at Riku. "W-what?" she said dumbly. She didn't think there was a solution to be found. Lightning knew a little about Namine's powers, but she didn't know that she could search memories for specific items like that. ...This is too good to be true, isn't it?
