Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku nodded slightly, confirming what he just said. "I made a watch before, which means I have memories of it," he explained. "I asked Namine to help me out, and she agreed. She's going to start searching my memories tomorrow morning." He would be out for the entire thing, not that it would make much of a difference. It would be easier for Namine, though, and he wanted her to do this successfully. If it meant he had to be asleep for a while, he would be okay with it.

"Just...like that?" Light asked softly, her tone unreadable. Riku could recover the contents of the book that easily? That just seemed too good to be true. She tried remembering the details that she knew about Namine's powers, but she couldn't remember that Sora was asleep a whole year when Namine tampered with his memories. If she remembered that and knew the risks of this procedure, she would have been very against it.
"Yeah," Riku said, taking his hand away from Lightning's arm. "It's a little risky, considering that I could actually lose memories in the process, but as long as I recover those that are relevant to recreating a watch, then it doesn't matter." He wanted to figure out a way to fix this, and if this didn't work, he would be lost. This had to work, for Lightning.

Lightning blinked, turning onto her back and looking up at Riku. "You could lose memories?" she repeated, eyebrows furrowing in seriousness. She didn't like the sound of that. Were there other consequences that Riku wasn't telling her about? If there were, she wanted to know them right now. And if she didn't think he was telling the truth, she'd go to Namine.
"Mm," Riku hummed softly, nodding ever so slightly. "I'll be asleep, but I don't know for how long." He glanced to the side at the thought, remembering that Sora was asleep for a year before he finally woke up. But that was because all of his memories were erased and then put back together. All Namine would be doing was searching through his to find the right ones. It couldn't possibly take a year... "A day, maybe more."

"I'm guessing there's a lot that could go wrong," Lightning said, eyebrows still furrowed as she looked up at Riku. She had just tried to get him to say more with his last comment, but he avoided it. This time, hopefully he wouldn't do the same. And if he did, she'd have to be even more blunt and order him to tell her the risks. She wasn't going to be kept in the dark about any of this.
Riku looked back to Lightning, seeing the expression she wore. "Like I said, it's risky," he repeated then. "If I lose any memories, I'll probably lose parts of myself in the process...but Namine's going to be as careful with it as she can. The mind's a fragile thing." He shrugged slightly, not wanting to think too deeply about it.

Lightning furrowed her eyebrows more deeply as she looked up at Riku, the young woman shaking her head faintly. If he could lose himself, then... "You're not doing this." Light trusted Namine, but like Riku said, the mind was a fragile thing. And she wasn't going to risk this whole thing failing and Riku losing himself. No way.
Riku lifted an eyebrow, his eyes resting on the young woman he loved. "...I didn't ask for permission," he pointed out calmly. He was doing this, whether Lightning approved or not. It was the only way.

"You're doing this because of me. So I should have an input about the decision," Lightning said, her eyes turning harder as she looked up at Riku. He should have asked for her permission, and her opinion should have mattered with this. This was about her, after all.
Riku sighed, closing his eyes briefly. He knew this was going to be more difficult than his conversation with Namine. "Alright, fine. You have a point," he admitted, opening his eyes to look at Lightning. "But this is our last resort. Don't you want to save your family?"
  • Author
"Of course I do," Lightning said, shifting her gaze to the ceiling as her eyebrows remained furrowed. Don't ask such a stupid question. She wanted to save her family even if it meant she had to be sacrificed. Her life wasn't worth as much as her family's. But she knew that Riku wouldn't send her back and let her die. Dying wasn't on her to-do list.
"Then this is the only choice we have, Light," Riku said, his eyes still resting on her even if she looked away. Namine would be getting to work bright and early tomorrow. He didn't exactly need rest, since he would be sleeping anyway, but Lightning did deserve to know.

Light shut her eyes, shaking her head a little bit on the pillow. "It can't be..." she mumbled. She couldn't believe that their one option was so dangerous for Riku. If it failed...she would lose him too. And she couldn't risk that happening. She was already a disaster without all but one family member, and if she lost the one man she ever loved...It would kill her.
Riku only gazed at Lightning, his eyes softening ever so slightly when he heard her mumbled words. It is, he wanted to say, but he didn't. She didn't want to hear it, but he was sure even if he didn't say it that she would already know he was going to follow through with this. He would do whatever it took to get her home; it was important to him too.

"...You can't..." You can't leave me too. Light kept her eyes shut even though she felt Riku's gaze on her, because if she opened her eyes, Riku would see her fright and sorrow. She knew that things could turn out perfectly, or they could turn out perfectly terrible. And with her luck recently, she believed it would be the latter.
Riku lifted his arm closest to Lightning, putting it on the other side of her so he was closer. "I have to," he told her gently. He wanted her to be happy, and the only way he could do that was by getting her home. To do that, Riku had to have Namine work through his memories. It was the only option they had left.

"No you don't," Light said softly, her voice nearly a whisper. He didn't have to do this. He didn't have to put himself at risk for her. She knew that he was fine with it, but she wasn't. She couldn't lose him. It would break her heart.
"Why don't I?" Riku asked, his eyebrows furrowing slightly. He was concerned; what was going through Lightning's mind? Was she scared? If she was, he could understand. He was a little as well, but it had to be done. And he trusted Namine; she would be careful.

Lightning didn't respond, only rolling back over onto her side so she was facing away from Riku. Her stomach lightly touched Riku's arm that was now there, and she savored even that small warmth. She couldn't risk losing that warmth...that Light. Riku may have called her his Light, but he was hers too.
Riku blinked when Lightning turned away, feeling her stomach against his arm. His eyebrows furrowed a little more as he leaned over slightly, trying to see her face. "...Are you scared?" he asked after a moment's hesitance. If she was worried for his sake, he could understand. He had been worried over Sora when Namine was reconnecting his memories, but he turned out fine. Riku would too.

Light grunted, that being the only response she gave. She hoped that grunt got across that she didn't want to talk about this. Riku wasn't going to go through with this as long as she had a say in it. She could only imagine an outcome where she lost him, and nothing would be gained from that. Only death. She was so scared for him...And for herself.
Riku leaned back at that response, taking his arm back. Alright then, he thought, tearing his gaze from Lightning long enough to look out the window. It was dark out there, but gazing at the stars couldn't hurt. He started to get up from the bed, planning to go to the summit to think things over.

"You're not doing it," Lightning finally said, repeating what she said earlier as she kept her back to Riku. He was not going to go through with something this risky. She couldn't lose him! And she wasn't the only one. Riku was important to everyone in this house; he couldn't just give himself up for her sake...
Riku wasn't completely off the bed yet, his hands on the edge beside him. He stopped, staring at the ground at the words. "Yes, I am," he said in defiance. "If it means sending you home, I'm doing it." Lightning wanted to be home; he could see it in her eyes every time she looked at him. It didn't matter if she tried covering it up, because she really did want to see her family again. Family was more important than him, especially in this time.
