Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku stepped forward before jumping up into the pod, turning around to face the room. He gave Namine a thumbs-up to signal he was ready to get this underway. He would be sleeping, and this would feel like a dream, but it would be significant. Very significant.

Namine smiled weakly at Riku's gesture, the blonde nodding slightly. She took a step over towards the computer and allowed the pod to close completely, and then she started doing what was necessary to recover Riku's memories of the book as soon as she was sure he was asleep. It was a delicate procedure, but she kept her nerves calm so that she wouldn't mess anything up. They couldn't afford any errors.

That night

Riku continued to sleep, his unconscious deepening ever since he was first asleep. Nothing changed at first, though after a while he did see memories flashing before his eyes. He relived them, even the ones that were the most heartbreaking. That was when his "dreams" turned into "nightmares". However, he did catch onto memories of the book on time travel, everything coming back to him. He remembered the procedure.

Lightning sat in a chair in the room, arms folded over her chest and head lowered as she fought off exhaustion. It was around midnight, and Namine finally reached the information that they needed. It took a while to get there, which Lightning understood after Namine explained how this worked. Searching through Riku's memories was like carefully turning through a book of easily torn pages. But fortunately, Namine said she didn't tear any of those pages, or memories. Riku was okay...

Namine bit down on her lip as she looked at the computer, seeing the details of the memory on the screen. She knew that Riku was currently recalling them, and she hoped that the details would be fresh in his mind when he woke up. Just in case they weren't, she wrote down everything that they needed in a book. She closed her eyes and exhaled a soft breath, mentally shutting the "book" that was really Riku's memories. Nothing was damaged in that process that took ten more minutes. And then, she opened her eyes and pushed a button, which should have started Riku's awakening process. After he was half-conscious, she'd open the pod and release him completely.

Riku saw his memories begin to fade, their clarity disappearing and turning fuzzy. He wanted to question it, though he couldn't, since he was still unconscious. After a moment, however, he started to wake up. He exhaled a soft breath and opened his eyes halfway, seeing nothing but darkness. Was it over?

Namine waited a minute before she pressed the other button, the pod starting to open so that Riku would wake up fully and be able to get out. This was a success, even if he didn't remember the details like he hoped. He dreamed of the details, and dreams were often fuzzy when a person woke up. She wasn't sure if that would happen now, but nevertheless, that was why she wrote things down. It took longer this way, but she didn't want her work to be for nothing.
Riku heard the door of the pod opening, allowing light to enter the pod. He blinked, grunting slightly as he finally woke up. He saw the lab in front of him, and he lifted his arms in a stretch. That was some sleep, but he hoped things actually turned out well after this.

Namine smiled softly at Riku waking up, seeing him perfectly from her spot. "Rise and shine!" she said, though it was time for her to go to sleep now that Riku was probably wide awake. It was midnight, and the whole process was very taxing mentally. She couldn't wait to lay down, but they had to wrap things up here first.
Riku smirked slightly, releasing a small "hmph" before jumping down from the pod. "How'd it go?" he asked. Things were a little fuzzy since he was still somewhat drowsy. Hopefully everything would come back to him soon. He needed any information he could get.

"You tell me," Namine said with a small smile. "You feel okay?" He should have, since there was no damage done to any of his memories. And the last thing he dreamed of was the book, so he should have at least had some familiarity with that. She hoped it was enough, because her notes were a little scattered.
"I feel normal," Riku said with a small shrug, his eyes resting on his friend. "Everything's a little fuzzy, but I think my head's still on straight." Once he woke up a little more, he would try to recall the book. It shouldn't have been too hard now.

Namine nodded slightly, her expression showing relief more than exhaustion. "Everything went fine on my end; no damage was done." She was so glad for that, because she didn't often go through people's memories like that. It was always risky business, whether she got practice with it or not.
Riku smirked again. "See? Told you that you could do it," he said in encouragement. Namine did great, and he didn't feel like anything was missing from his memory. Everything worked.

Namine smiled weakly, lifting a hand and twirling the blonde hair that hung over her shoulder. "I did my best," she said modestly. She was cautious and took her time, and she didn't let her exhaustion get to her even if it was past midnight now. She wasn't going to risk hurting Riku by getting sloppy.
Riku's smirk turned into a smile, and he approached Namine, embracing her in a grateful hug. "Thank you," he said softly, appreciation in his voice. He really did appreciate that she did this for him. It meant a lot.

Namine hummed softly, hugging Riku back and setting her head on his taller shoulder. "You're welcome," she said softly, a small smile still on her face. She was glad to do it, and even more glad that things turned out alright.
Riku squeezed Namine lightly before pulling back, one of his hands lingering on her shoulder. He took a good look at her, seeing that she appeared incredibly tired. "You look exhausted," he pointed out, his smile fading. "Go ahead and go to bed." He would take care of things from here.

"Okay," Namine said with a small nod, her hands back by her sides once Riku pulled back a little. "I'll go in a few minutes. But first, how well do you remember the details?" If he didn't remember them perfectly, she had a back-up. And if he did, she wanted him to write it all down before the memory faded.
Riku took his hand back from Namine's shoulder and glanced up at the ceiling, trying to recall time travel. It surprised him how much detail he remembered. "Actually, I know what materials I need like the back of my hand," he said, smirking slightly before he looked to his friend. "I remember a little bit of the procedure, at least for now." Hopefully more would come to him soon.

Namine smiled softly, glad to hear that Riku remembered the details so well. "You should write all that down, in case the memories start fading," she suggested. "And in case you don't remember everything, I jotted a few things down from what I saw." So it seemed like they were good now; everything was okay.
"You got it," Riku said with a small nod. He would do that soon, but first... He looked over, seeing the woman he loved in the room, and appearing to be asleep. He needed to take her to bed, and Namine needed to head that way too.

Namine followed Riku's gaze to Lightning, seeing that she was unconscious. "She must have fallen asleep just as you were waking up," she said softly. That's ironic. But that was just how things worked. Lightning had been awake all day waiting for Riku, which was unusual for her since she spent the last few days sleeping. Being awake this long probably wasn't easy.
Riku's eyes softened at the words, and he nodded. "Right. Well, I guess I should take her to bed," he told Namine softly, turning his head to look at her. "I'll see you in the morning?" It was his and Terrian's turn to cook breakfast, anyway.

"It is the morning," Namine joked softly, a smile on her tired expression. She couldn't resist throwing that out there, because it was a good set up for her to joke around. It was about time something more lighthearted happened, since everything had been so sad lately.
Riku blinked in shock. He'd been asleep the whole day? "...Wow," he said, not expecting that. It was past midnight already? Namine really did need to get to bed, and so did he.
