A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Namine smiled weakly, realizing that Riku hadn't recognized the time. "It's a little past midnight," she revealed quietly. So she was tired because she was up eighteen hours, and because the work was very hard. She couldn't wait to go collapse in bed now that things were done here.

Riku recovered in time to note Namine's words. "You should head upstairs," he told her. "I'll write some things down and take Lightning to bed in a few minutes." After that, he would probably take off to go get some stuff for the watch... Or he would stay with Lightning. He didn't know just yet.

"Okay," Namine said with a small nod. "Goodnight, Riku." She gave him a small nod in farewell before she started out, fighting the urge to yawn. She hoped that Roxas didn't wait up for her, since it was so late.

Riku nodded slightly, watching Namine go. When she was just about to exit the room, he turned to the desk that was next to the pod. He saw the notes in Namine's neat handwriting, and he decided to add to that list with his own memories. Once that was done, he folded the piece of paper and stuffed it in his back pocket for safekeeping. He then turned to Lightning, approaching her sleeping form. It was time for her to go to bed.

Lightning thought she heard a soft noise, like she had heard the past few minutes. She was still a light sleeper, but she was pretty out of it because she was so tired. She didn't care if she was in a chair; she was exhausted.

Riku stopped next to Lightning and bent down, tucking his arms under her torso and legs. He gently and quietly lifted her to his chest, making sure his hold was secure before he started out of the room. He would get Lightning comfortable and go from there; he wasn't exactly sure what he would do yet, since he was wide awake.

Lightning felt Riku's warmth when he pulled her close and held her, and that was a contrast to the cool air that was in the lab. Her head was on his shoulder when he picked her up, and she hummed softly in drowsiness as she tried to wake herself up. Riku obviously was done, so she needed to see if he was okay.

Riku glanced down at Lightning at the soft sound, and he smiled to himself before he left the lab, bringing her with him. He started down the corridor, silence surrounding him. It was alright, since he figured everyone was asleep anyway. Light would be upstairs and sleeping herself soon, in his room. Riku would do one of two things--go look for the materials, or stay with Lightning until he had to cook breakfast. He slept for a long time, so he wouldn't be tired until the afternoon, or so he guessed.

"Riku?" Light mumbled, half-asleep in his arms. She knew that he was the one holding her; she would recognize that hold no matter what. And if Riku was holding her so gently but securely, was he himself? She hoped so; she didn't want to wake up to hear that something went wrong.

"Yeah," Riku replied softly, turning a corner and heading toward the stairs. It was him; no way would he let anyone else hold Lightning so closely. She would only be in his arms, no one else's.

"How'd it go?" Light mumbled, keeping her eyes shut as Riku continued walking. She realized that she was very out of it and couldn't bring herself to full consciousness, so she wasn't sure if she would remember this in the morning or not. But she needed to ask right now to know if the man she loved was okay.

"Good," Riku answered with a small nod. "I came out without a scratch." Figuratively speaking. Nothing had been rearranged or misplaced inside his head, so he felt normal. Lightning didn't have to worry about a thing.

"Mm," Light hummed softly, a side of her lips turning up slightly before her smile vanished without a trace. She was glad to hear that, more glad than any words could express. Riku was okay...He wasn't hurt at all by this. I didn't lose him.

Riku started up the stairs, not responding. There wasn't much he could say to that, so he kept his mouth shut for now. He started down the west wing when he reached the second floor, seeing his open door already. Almost there, Light.

"I'm glad," Light murmured after a few moments, even if it was a delayed reaction. She had been so scared, for Riku and for herself. She knew what horror he would go through if he had to recover his memories, and she knew the experience she would have if she lost him. And she knew she couldn't handle that right now, or ever.

"Me too," Riku said, glancing down at the woman he loved before reaching his room. He turned so Lightning didn't hit her head on the wall, though he then took her to the bed. He bent down, slowly lowering her to the mattress. Should I stay, or should I go?

Light felt Riku set her down on the bed, and she automatically shifted a little bit to be comfortable. She peeked open her blue eyes briefly before she closed them again, too tired to keep them open even if she wanted to look at Riku's beautiful aqua eyes. She had been scared she would lose him and never see the same look in his eyes again.

Riku pulled back, though he set a hand on the bed. "Do you want me to stay with you?" he asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper. If not, he would head out. The sooner he found the materials for the watch the better.

"Yeah," Light confirmed softly, too tired to lie. She had been so scared and worried about Riku, and that was a part of why she was so exhausted. She didn't want to be apart from him now; even if he just slept for a whole day and was wide awake, she wanted him with her.

"Okay." Riku couldn't help but smile faintly, secretly hoping for that kind of answer. "Scoot over," he told her gently. He would let her lie against him until dawn, when he would have to get up and meet Terrian in the kitchen to cook breakfast. He would make Lightning's favorite, just for her. He was sure the others would love the food as well, but still...

Lightning "hmphed" softly at Riku's comment, and she obeyed his request. She scooted over so that she was on the other side and Riku could have enough room to either sit or lay down, though she hoped he would do that latter. She wanted him holding her close.

Riku lowered himself onto the mattress, resting his head against one of the pillows. He didn't get under the blankets, since he wouldn't be here too much longer. A few hours, maybe. He lifted an arm and put it on Lightning's side, pulling her a little closer. He didn't have to think twice about it; it came naturally.

Light wasn't surprised when Riku pulled her closer, the young woman facing him as she got comfortable on the bed. She lowered herself ever so slightly so her forehead was inches away from Riku's chin, a soft breath leaving her when she was comfortable. She was ready to sleep in peace and now that Riku was still with her.

"Goodnight, Lightning," Riku whispered softly, looking down at her as he rested next to her. He loved her, he really did. He was glad no memories of her had been altered. He couldn't imagine not knowing her...

"Goodnight," Lightning whispered, wrapping an arm around Riku while feeling his still around her. "I love you." She hadn't had the chance to say that earlier; she had been too nervous to think earlier when she let him go into that pod. It wasn't like her to scare that easily, but things were different now.
