Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

A week later

Lightning stood behind Riku as he sat at a table, working on the watch. She was getting a sense of Deja vu, because she had been in a position similar to this before. In the other future, she had been the one working on the watch while Riku watched. He had been standing behind her at the time, with his arms around her. The soldier bit down on her lip but then took a small step forward, softly wrapping her arms around Riku's upper torso as she watched him working on the watch. It was almost done thanks to everyone's help. She, Riku, Sora, and Kairi and their apprentices were all searching for the materials, so that sped up the process significantly. This week, they were all fully devoted to the watch.

Riku smiled faintly at the touch, though it faded as he focused on the watch. There were just a few more tweaks that he had to fix, and then it was finished. "Almost done," he murmured softly, informing Lightning of the progress. He was grateful, as he was sure she was too, that everyone pitched in. Things got done so much faster this way.

"Mm," Lightning hummed softly, her chin on Riku's shoulder as she watched him gently make the watch. She couldn't believe that they were actually here right now. The morning after Namine's procedure, Riku told her that he was recruiting people to help him with the watch. And when she said she wanted to help too, he firmly (but gently) told her that she needed to start eating again so that she'd be able to function again. She did what he said, and here she was, better than before but still focusing almost all her thoughts on her family. She needed to save them.
A few more minutes passed before Riku set down his tool, closing the lid over the face of the watch. "...Done," he said, some surprise in his voice. But he was also satisfied. Very satisfied. They did it; they made the watch.

Light looked over at Riku's face in surprise, her chin still on his shoulder. "...Done?" she repeated softly, some disbelief and hesitance in her voice. That was...good. She knew that Riku was going to let Terrian use the watch first to save his family and then let Lightning save her family, but...There was something she wasn't telling him. And she wouldn't tell him until the time was right.
Riku turned his head slightly, just enough to look into Lightning's eyes. "Yeah," he said with a faint nod before looking at the watch again. He was done... They were done. The watch was complete, which meant everything could return to normal again.

"Hm," Light hummed softly, looking to the watch when Riku did. But after a second, she withdrew, her hands shifting to Riku's shoulders when she was standing upright behind him. If the watch was done, then Terrian could go back in time and save his family. She had to admit...She would actually miss the kid. He had a good heart.
"I guess..." Riku started softly, his eyes resting on the watch in his hand, "...I should go talk to Terrian." He was the one to be using the watch first, to save his family. Everything would be different after that; no one would have any recollection of him at all. He would be absent from their lives. Riku wouldn't have an apprentice anymore.

Lightning hummed softly again, briefly running her thumbs over the fabric of Riku's shirt. She knew that this would be hard for him, because he was much closer to Terrian than she was. And Skylar and Hallie wouldn't take it well, either. They were spending time with him while they could, the three of them training with Sora and Kairi right now. It was time for her and Riku to break up that session.
Riku sighed, closing his eyes for a moment before his hand curled around the watch. He looked over his shoulder, up at Lightning. "Come with me?" he asked softly. He wanted her to be with him. If Terrian was leaving him, he wanted someone by his side for a little while longer.

"Sure," Lightning said quietly, nodding faintly as well. She had been planning on coming, whether Riku specifically asked her to or not. She wondered what it would be like when Terrian went back. Would she forget him completely the instant he stepped into the portal? She supposed it didn't matter, because no matter when he was forgotten, he certainly would be gone from her memory. No doubt about that.
Riku's eyes lingered on Lightning for a second, but then he pushed himself up from his chair. He needed to give the news to his friends and his apprentice. Things would change then, but Riku would have to go with Terrian to save his family; someone had to come back with the watch.

Lightning's hands came off Riku's shoulders when he stood up, one of her hands briefly running over his back before it came back down to her side. She looked at him for a second before she turned and started out, sure that Riku would be close behind her. Time was on their side, but they weren't going to waste it. It was time for Terrian to fix his past.
Riku walked with Lightning out to the training room, which was big enough for all three apprentices to train with Sora and Kairi. He saw the latter create orbs of Light for the three teens to destroy, but they wouldn't be doing it for long. Riku had some news to tell them. "Hey," he called.
  • Author
Hallie blinked at the call, and she looked up after destroying her orb. She noticed Sora turn his head to look at the two who stood in the doorway while her gaze also went to Riku. They...must have finished the watch. He had the materials now, so...Was it time for them to use to watch? Was it time for her to lose her best friend and brotherly figure?
Riku felt all of the gazes of the people in the room on him, and he nodded. "It's time," he said softly. The watch was finished, so it was time for Terrian to make his decision. Riku highly doubted he would choose against saving his family; blood was thicker than water, always.

Terrian summoned his Keyblade away at the comment, and he looked around and felt Hallie's gaze on him. It looked like she was already prepared to get emotional at Terrian leaving. If he did go, though, she wouldn't remember him at all. Her sorrow would only be temporary. And Skylar...He could handle this, right?
Skylar's Keyblade disappeared, his eyes softening as he looked to Terrian. He had to go already? He thought it would take longer than that... He put on a smile despite his sorrow, nodding to his best friend. Do what you have to. We understand, he thought, silently speaking for himself and Hallie.

Sora noticed Skylar nod to Terrian, and everyone in the room was silent because they didn't want to say goodbye. But they had to...Terrian chose his path. "Good luck, Terrian. If we're lucky, maybe we'll get to see you again someday." He smiled weakly at the student who now returned his gaze and nodded faintly in agreement. I'll miss you. We all will.
Kairi's Keyblade was gone by this point, and she linked her hands behind her back as she smiled weakly at Terrian. She agreed with what Sora said, wholeheartedly. Terrian was a great person, and he had a strong heart. Hopefully they would cross paths again.

"Terrian," Hallie said weakly, catching the attention of her best friend. She took a few steps over to him and wrapped her arms around him, lowering her head so her eyes were hidden. After a second or two, she felt Terrian set one hand lightly on her back. I'll miss you, and I love you like a brother. That's why I have to let you go..
Riku watched the scene before him, seeing that Skylar was giving Hallie and Terrian some room for the moment. At the thought, the Master glanced away, giving them some privacy as well. He would have time to say his own goodbye soon enough.
  • Author
Hallie pulled back after a few moments, her eyes moist as she looked back up at Terrian. She forced a small, sad smile as she held back the tears. "Good luck," she whispered, stepping back a few steps so that somebody else could say goodbye. If this goodbye went on too long, she wouldn't be able to hold in her tears.
Skylar took this as his chance to say goodbye, the teen approaching his best friend and clapping him on the shoulder. "I'll miss you, buddy," he said with a small smile. Who would be his main competition now? Nobody fought like Terrian other than Master Riku, which was a given. But still... It wouldn't be the same.

Terrian nodded slightly, lifting his hand and clasping Skylar's shoulder in return. "Yeah," he said, not knowing what else to say. He really wasn't a sap, not like Master Riku proved himself to be with Lightning. He became that way when he was older, so if Terrian really was as much like Riku as everyone said he was, he'd become a sap eventually. Just not right now...and not when he had no reason to be.
