A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Riku saw that Skylar had nothing else to say, only nodding to his best friend, so he took the liberty of speaking as well. "...Let's go," he said softly. He would say his own goodbye to Terrian right before they departed, but he wouldn't do that here. After all, he had a special bond with him. Not only was Terrian his apprentice and successor, but he was also like the son he never had. It would be hard to see him go, but it was something that needed to be done.

Terrian took his hand off Skylar's shoulder and looked over at Riku, feeling everybody's gaze on him. He could see past Riku's expression right now and see his sadness, but...Terrian was actually going to make that go away in just a minute. He made his decision about his life in general, and it went along with this situation. He would tell everyone, right here and now. "...I'm not going anywhere."

"What?" Skylar said, at the same time hearing a startled grunt leave Master Riku. Did Terrian really just say what he thought he said? He...was staying? No way!

"But why?" Sora asked in confusion, seeing a smirk starting to form on Terrian's lips because of everyone's shock. Terrian was so sad about losing his parents and not having the chance to save them when Riku destroyed the first watch; what changed his mind?

 

Terrian rolled his eyes, smirking. "Well, I can't trust a sap like Skylar to keep Hallie safe," he said, jerking his head towards his best friend. Skylar wasn't strong enough to do it, even if he was getting better. Terrian wanted to watch out for her for a while longer...and Skylar too. His best friends.

"Huh?!" Skylar yelped in shock. But then the shock wore off, and he instead glared at his best friend. "Hey!" That wasn't fair at all! I'm not a sap!

"Skylar can hardly keep himself out of trouble, let alone help Hallie if she ever gets into anything," Terrian continued despite Skylar's outburst. "These two would be hopelessly lost without me. They need me!" He looked over to the side and saw Hallie and Skylar standing by each other, and his smirk turned into a smaller, more genuine smile. "...And I need them, too," he added softly. They weren't just his best friends; they were his family.

Riku listened to what Terrian had to say, and with every word he smiled a little more. Now, a half-smile was on his lips, signifying that he was proud and happy about Terrian's decision. "...Protect the things that matter," he said without thought. That was what he had said so long ago, and that was one of the reasons why Terra chose him as his successor. Terrian had the same mindset.

Terrian looked over at his Master, nodding faintly in agreement. He walked over and stood between Hallie and Skylar, a hand coming to both of their shoulders as he looked back over at Master Riku even though he was speaking to everyone. "This is my family now. I'm done living in the past. From now on...I'll be fully devoted to them. This is the way it was meant to be." That was what his heart was telling him, not that he would ever admit such a thing. If he did, he'd sound like a sap.

Riku's smile remained, his eyes resting on the green of his apprentice. "Mm," he hummed with a nod. He was proud of his student. He made a big decision here, and he seemed set on his wholeheartedly.

 

Kairi couldn't help but smile, seeing the look on Riku's face as well as the three apprentices'. This was wonderful...

Realization set in for Hallie, and her eyes widened as she looked over at Terrian. "Wait a second!" she cried. "You let us go through that whole goodbye knowing that you weren't going anywhere?!" She nearly burst into tears because of the sorrow! And for nothing. She saw Terrian smile sheepishly, and she knew her judgement was correct. You'll pay for this, dork.

Skylar caught on with what Hallie said, and he glared at his best friend. He then threw his fist into his friends shoulder. "That's not very nice, Terrian!" he cried. Why did he make them so sad when he was only going to say he wasn't going?! "That was stupid!"

 

Kairi chuckled to herself, looking over at her husband. He's just like you, she thought lovingly. She remembered when Sora was like that with Riku, and Kairi only scolded them like Hallie had just done. It was just like the old days.

"I just wanted to see how much you guys loved me, and see if you realized how lost you'd be without me," Terrian said with a smirk, his hand coming down to his side after Skylar's punch. He heard Hallie scowl in disapproval as he still smirked, looking over at Skylar. His friend didn't like his actions, so he wondered... What're you gonna do about it, Sappy Skylar?

"You nearly made Hallie cry!" Skylar hollered in disapproval. He flexed his hand, tempted to summon his Keyblade. Nobody made Hallie cry! Nobody, not even Terrian.

Hallie rolled her eyes at Skylar's comment, shrugging Terrian's hand off her shoulder. "I can defend myself, Skylar," she said calmly, seeing Terrian look back over to her at her comment. And that cocky smirk made her want to growl in fury and relief. "You nearly made me cry, idiot!" she cried, repeating what Skylar said as she lifted a hand and hit Terrian's arm.

Riku chuckled lowly, unable to help himself. He was glad for the comedy relief in this situation, given that they had all been sad moments ago. It didn't really matter anymore, since no one would have to say goodbye. Riku always did hate them.

"I'll kill you!" Hallie cried, though she didn't come close to doing anything of the sort. Instead, she felt Terrian's arm wrap around her shoulders, and she found herself embracing his side. She wasn't angry; she was more relieved that he wasn't leaving them. They were a trio; they always would be. "Don't you ever scare me like that again, dork," she whispered, receiving a hum from him in response. We would be lost without you.

Skylar turned away from Terrian slightly, crossing his arms over his chest. He wasn't happy with his friend being such a jerk, but it was in the past now. They would have to look past it eventually, but he would be mad for the time being.

Terrian "hmphed" at Skylar's behavior, and he lifted his free hand and ruffled his best friend's hair. "What's the matter, Skylar? Angry I made you look like a sap?" Of course, he was just kidding, because he had been more sappy than Skylar was. But if he said such a thing, he was dead meat.

"I'm not a sap," Skylar grumbled, glaring at his friend out of the corner of his eye. He would never admit to such a thing, though he did have a soft side sometimes. Well, most of the time. But if he let Terrian be right about something, he would never live it down.

"Right," Terrian said in obvious disbelief, ruffling Skylar's hair one more time as he released Hallie from the half-hug. Skylar would always be a sap; he was too sensitive not to be. But...that was okay. Skylar was a good guy, his best friend. His brother.

Skylar squinted when his hair was ruffled again, though he did turn around and look at his best friend. He smiled faintly, rolling his eyes. Sap or not, they were still best friends.

 

Riku didn't move from his spot, seeing the friends interact before he looked to the watch in his hand. Now this only held one more purpose... Lightning.

Terrian took back his hand, seeing Skylar's smile. He could tell he was glad he was staying, even if he was a little ticked at him for not telling him sooner. But he'd get over it, because nothing was going to separate the two of them, or their entire trio. They were his family, and he wouldn't let his family crumble. But they weren't his only family; so was Master Riku, and the other Masters and the other apprentices. He had a good life here, one that he would enjoy.

Riku turned his head, looking to the person he loved. "I guess that leaves you to put it to work," he said, speaking of the watch now. Since Terrian wasn't going to use it anymore, Lightning had to...

Lightning looked down at Riku's hand, seeing it curled around the watch. "Guess so," she responded softly. But...solving her problems wasn't going to be so easy. Riku brought up something a while ago, and even if he was a jerk when he said it, he was right. She couldn't just rush back and save everybody; she would die too. ...Saving her family may have been impossible.

Riku smiled weakly, loving but also hating the fact. He lost Lightning for seven years, and now he was losing her again. But...he would still be with her in the long run. Or so he hoped. When she went back, the future was always subject to change.
