Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light shook her head faintly at the thought, keeping her gaze down. "But...We can't." They couldn't just use the watch to go back, swoop in, and save the day. They needed to defeat the Maker before he killed her and her family, and that would be impossible in the one minute she had between his appearance and her death. They couldn't flee from the Maker, so he needed to be killed. But he was a god, so they couldn't defeat him that easily.
Riku's faint smile melted away, an expression of confusion washing over his face instead. He lifted an eyebrow. "I don't follow," he said with a small shake of his head. Why couldn't they go back and change things...for the better?

"You said it yourself, Riku," Lightning said softly, keeping her voice low so it didn't spoil everyone else's happiness. "If I go back, then I'll die. And so will they." He had said that when she tried convincing him to use the first watch, and she felt like he partially said it to spite her. All the words he said that day were still in her head; they wouldn't leave her alone. That was why she was still so quiet.
Riku was silent after that, not able to counter the statement. Lightning was right; he had said that, and he meant it. If Lightning went back unprepared, this would have all been for nothing. That meant they had to come up with some kind of plan.

Lightning shut her eyes and looked away, nearly quoting Riku word-for-word what he said that day. "Either I'll die there while they're hanging there, or after, if I'm lucky to dodge the ray that killed me the first time. Either way, I'll be too late and they're dead." Her hands curled into tight fists at that, and she felt hurt in her heart. They were lost no matter what...
Riku put a hand on Lightning's shoulder, remembering that he said something along those lines. He squeezed her shoulder before looking to Sora and Kairi. They had to come up with something... Lightning wanted to go home.

Terrian said...that he was done living in the past. Is that what I'm supposed to do too? Lightning thought, keeping her same position. But...she couldn't fully believe that was true. The past was actually her present; she didn't belong in this time period. Riku brought her here to protect her from the Maker, but that didn't matter. There were just so many things to consider; she didn't know what to do.
"Sora. Kairi," Riku called then, keeping his hand on Lightning's shoulder as he caught one of the two's attention. "Meet me in the back whenever you finish training, okay?" He saw Kairi nod, and he was sure Sora would agree to as well. There were some things they needed to discuss, and the next hour left in their session would give him time to come up with a plan, if he could.

"Got it," Sora said with a small nod. He looked from Riku to Lightning, seeing that the latter seemed down about something. Sadly, that wasn't a surprise to him; she wasn't happy here. She would only be happy again once her family was alive. He blinked when she slipped out from under Riku's hand and started out in silence. Hope everything's okay.
Riku ignored the fact that Lightning walked away, though he did nod to his friends before starting out as well. He would have to think of some way for Lightning to safely return seven years in the past...and survive.

Lightning headed to the backyard a while, and when she was there, she sat down in one of the chairs. She had been thinking about this ever since Riku mentioned that the watch was nearly complete. And since then, she tried coming up with a solution to save her family. ...And she wasn't finding one. The solution probably didn't even exist.
Riku sat in a chair next to Lightning's, a few of the chairs outside spread into a semi-circle. He had the watch in his pocket, not planning on losing it any time soon. He stared up at the sky, not saying anything. There was some thinking to do.

Just one minute to save then, Light thought. One minute to defeat the most powerful fal'Cie that ever existed. Who was I kidding? He's completely impossible to defeat; there's no way we could accomplish it at all, let alone in one minute. She fought fal'Cie before, and the battles always took a while. This was an impossible mission.
Riku sat outside with Lightning for what felt like a while, and he was sure it had been. He was still thinking about some possibilities to getting Lightning home, and he hadn't come up with anything solid. He closed his eyes after a while, concentrating. There has to be something...

Lightning leaned forward in her chair, an elbow on her leg as a hand came to her face. "This is hopeless," she murmured. Even if everyone from this future, apprentices included, came back to fight the Maker, they still wouldn't win. They wouldn't have enough time to defeat him, if it was even possible. That one minute was what was making this even more impossible than it already was.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed, the young man opening his eyes to look at the person he loved. "We've come this far and gotten this much done," he said in encouragement. "It's not over." It wouldn't be until things were set right. There was a way to fix this, he knew it. It just had to be figured out.

Light was unswayed by Riku's encouragement, more pessimistic than he was because of the tragedy. "I've been thinking about this nonstop for at least two days now," she said softly. "If anyone could think of a solution, it'd be me, right? I was there..." But she still couldn't think of a single thing to help.
Riku didn't know what to say to that, though his eyes did soften. There was a way to fix this. There had to be. If they could just figure something out...they could take Lightning home.

"...I've got nothing. Absolutely nothing." And Lightning felt terrible about that, because even if she did help remake the watch, she should have been able to do more for her family. She wasn't strong enough to save them that day, and she wasn't strong enough now.
Riku gazed at Lightning with saddened eyes, which only encouraged him to think more. Seeing her like this reminded him of the time she was nearly helpless against Maleficent. He nearly lost her to that witch, and if that would have happened again, just last week... He blinked, remembering the fight with Maleficent that day. What had happened that was important?

Lightning lowered her hand when she felt a hand tap her knee, and she opened her eyes to see who was there. She blinked when it was Sora's little girl, who had her arms open as she looked up at Lightning with bright blue eyes.

"My mommy and daddy say hugs make everything better," Lydia said, still keeping her arms open. She glanced at the couple who just brought her outside with them before she looked back to the girl with beautiful pink hair. After a second, the young woman did pick her up and sit her in her lap, and Lydia hugged her. Whatever's wrong, it'll be okay. Uncle Riku will make it better.

Kairi walked outside beside her husband, hearing what her little girl had to say. She caught Riku smile faintly, though hers was more visible. Lydia did have knack for cheering people up. Kairi always thought it was her innocence, though she was sure her personality had something to do with it.

Sora smiled softly, looking from Lydia to Riku. "So, what's up, Riku?" he asked once he was closer, stopping by his best friend's chair. He said that he wanted to see them, so here they were. They brought Lydia too, because Aqua could only watch her for so long today. But that was okay; Lydia wouldn't get in the way.
"I needed some help brainstorming," Riku told his two best friends then. He hadn't thought of anything to counter what Lightning said. Until just a moment ago. He believed he had an idea.

"With what?" Sora asked, eyebrows furrowing slightly as his smile faded away. He figured that it had something to do with Lightning going back, but he didn't know what, obviously. That was why he asked his question. What did Riku need help with now?
