Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Figuring out how we're going to have everyone survive," Riku said, crossing his arms over his broad chest. That was the problem, but... "You showed up a little late, though. I think I already have an idea." It took Maleficent of all people to remind him.

Lightning blinked in surprise, furrowing her eyebrows slightly as she looked back over at Riku. What? Did he really...He really had an idea? He always said in the past that he wasn't creative, so she assumed that he wouldn't be the one to come up with something.
Riku felt everyone's gazes on him, and when he saw the look Lightning was giving him, he suddenly felt uneasy. "What?" he asked. Was it that hard to believe he came up with something? "You heard me."

"Then feel free to share," Lightning prompted, motioning to Riku with one hand as Lydia still embraced her. If he came up with something, then she wanted to hear it. She just hoped that his idea was actually a solid one, because if it wasn't, it was back to the drawing board.
Riku nodded once, looking to his friends, since they would be more familiar with what he was about to mention. "My barriers," he said then. They would be the solution to this whole thing. He couldn't believe it was so simple...but it was.

Sora thought that he caught onto what Riku was thinking, and that made him furrow his eyebrows slightly. "Your barriers would be strong enough to block a beam from the Maker?" Riku's barriers were strong, but Sora wasn't so sure it would be good enough. Depending on the strength of the attack, it would take a lot of energy away from Riku. And if he had to do it multiple times before somebody could defeat the Maker, then the plan wouldn't work. How much abuse could Riku take from the Maker?
"Eventually," Riku said with a small shrug. "That's why I plan on you guys practicing with me." He couldn't strengthen his barriers alone; he would need his friends to use him as a target, and he would try to block as many attacks as he could, no matter how weak or strong.

Lightning shook her head, seeing a flaw in Riku's plan. "Nobody can recreate the same energy as the Maker," she stated. "So there'd be no way to know when--or if--a barrier would be strong enough." It'd be risky business, going back only to find out Riku wasn't strong enough.
"Maybe not one person, but what if there were ten people throwing their strongest attacks at me at the same time?" Riku asked, referring to everyone--even to his and Sora and Kairi's apprentices--but Namine, since she didn't have a Keyblade. However, he wanted Lightning to do her best as well to counter his barrier. Over time, it would get stronger.

"Still not enough," Lightning said, shaking her head. "And do you wanna get yourself killed?!" Ten people throwing their strongest attacks at Riku wasn't a good idea. She wasn't going to put his life on the line, not when he was one of two precious people she had left in her life. Or ever, for that matter.
"Do you have any better ideas?" Riku asked, his eyebrows furrowing as he looked at Lightning. If she had another way to fight off the Maker, or at least counter it, then he was all ears.

"The only idea I have is that we do nothing so that you're not killed," Lightning said, lifting a hand and pinching the bridge of her nose as she looked down at her lap. "I'd say that's better than doing something idiotic, like asking everyone to throw their strongest attacks at you." That was just stupid.
Riku rolled his eyes. "It's not like it'd start off like that," he said, defending his idea. "I'd work up to it. Eventually I'll be able to handle more pressure against the barriers, and possibly reflect any spells casted on me." That would be luck, if he got that far. But he would. He was set on sending Lightning home.

"So when you reflect our attacks back on us, what's your plan?" Lightning asked after rolling her eyes. She felt like she had valid reasons to be concerned, but Riku didn't seem to be listening. Why was he so willing to throw himself in the line of fire!? She didn't like this, not one bit.
"If I can handle the beam impacting my barrier and possibly reflect the attack on the Maker, he's toast," Riku said, uncrossing his arms and leaning forward to set his elbows against his knees. He clasped his hands together, gazing at Lightning intently. "All I'm saying is that I need practice. In order to get that, I need you guys." He needed Lightning, Sora, Kairi, and everyone else to pitch in. He was strong, but not strong enough. Not yet.
  • Author
"I'm in," Sora said after a second, seeing that Lightning wasn't going to respond because she was ticked off. He would help Riku get stronger; he wouldn't unleash his full power until he was sure that Riku could handle it. Nobody would get hurt, despite what Lightning was thinking. Everything would be fine.
"Me too," Kairi said with a small nod. She trusted Riku's judgement; he always was pretty wise. Surely Lightning knew that as well. Kairi was scared of Riku taking on the Maker as well, but she believed in him. And Lightning. They could do this.

Lightning shook her head, Lydia crawling off her lap and standing on the ground. And once she was, she walked over to her father and wrapped her arms around his leg in an embrace, ignorant to the danger that they were talking about. She pushed herself up and looked at Riku, her expression saying it all. I won't support you in this. She started walking away, hands in fists by her sides. I can't risk losing you.
"Lightning," Riku called, sitting up slightly. Was she really going to do this? What about her family? He knew she wanted to save them, so why was she avoiding it?
  • Author
Lightning didn't respond, only continuing to walk. If Riku wanted to talk to her, then he would have to follow her. If she was going to talk at all, then it wasn't going to be in front of Sora and Kairi, or their child. Riku was too eager to throw himself in the line of fire. He would push himself too hard one of these times. Letting Namine in his head was hard enough; she couldn't physically attack him. If it failed, then everything was lost.
Riku didn't bother glancing at Sora, Kairi, and Lydia. Instead, he grunted, pushing himself to his feet and starting after Lightning. Why did she always have to walk away? He would chase after her, always, but couldn't she just listen to him for once? He had a point here, and she knew it.

And knowing him, I still won't have a chance to stop him, Lightning thought bitterly, referring to Riku and his plan. He would go through with this, just like he did with the pod the other day. That turned out successful, so to her, that increased the possibility that this would fail. They couldn't keep getting lucky. She walked inside, hearing the door slam shut behind her.
Riku jogged the rest of the way to the door, pulling it open before walking inside. It shut behind him, and he saw the woman he loved up ahead. "Why are you always walking away?" he asked, wanting an answer. Why did Lightning walk away from him all the time? He didn't like seeing her leave.
  • Author
"Because, you don't listen to me when I'm there. No point sticking around," Lightning said without turning around, still walking. She made it clear she was against this, but Riku was going through with it anyway! How could he be so eager to get in the line of fire when he knew he was practically all she had left?
"You wanna know why?" Riku asked, walking after Lightning. "It's because you're running away from saving your family. Every time I suggest an idea, you deny it. Are you trying to stay here? Because I know you don't want to." She had been sobbing the first two days she was here, because she hated it. She was adjusting, but he could still see that she wasn't comfortable. He wasn't blind.
