Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Mm," Riku hummed, nodding as he approached the woman he loved. "I'll agree to it on only one condition." He didn't want her to be weak without it. If that was the case, he wouldn't do it. He wanted Lightning to keep her strength for when she needed it.

"What's that?" Lightning asked with an arched brow, her pale blue eyes on Riku as he approached her. She didn't know what the condition would be, but she would agree to it if she could. It was important for Riku to gain strength, and quickly. Every day she was away from her family, she felt more despair.
Riku stopped in front of Lightning, looking down at her. "That you won't be weak without it," he told her softly. "If you're not as strong as you are now when it's gone, I'm not taking it from you." He wouldn't do that. Her life was incredibly important to him. He wouldn't put it at stake.

Lightning shook her head faintly. "I won't be weak without it," she said honestly. "I'll lose some abilities, but they can be regained with time. Right now, you need them more than I do." And that was the truth. She wouldn't lie to Riku about something so important.
Riku looked at Lightning for a moment, thinking about what she said. He would have some of her strength, but she wouldn't be too weak without it. "...Alright," he said with a small nod. He would take it.

Light nodded faintly, lifting a hand to her chest as she lowered her gaze to the ground. Hope passed on his Crystarium to her, so she was sure that she could pass it onto Riku too. She wasn't a l'Cie anymore, and yet she still held onto it. Well, not for long. She shut her eyes and sensed a warmth leave her, the green crystal star appearing in front of her chest and floating there.
Riku's eyes focused on the crystal star and the green glow around it. This is it? It's that easy? he asked himself softly. All he had to do...was grab it? Riku lifted his hand, touching the star before it disappeared. He felt warmth engulf his body, more specifically his heart. He took in a breath at the sensation, knowing full well that the power that was once Lightning's was now his.

Light opened her eyes just in time to see Riku's reaction to absorbing the power, and judging by his expression, it was a strong power. That was good for him, but not so good for her. But then again, she didn't spend years strengthening the crystarium; Hope did. This power was meant for her to pass on; she was sure of it.
Riku exhaled the breath he took in, his eyes finding Lightning once more. "...I guess we'll see how it works tonight," he said softly, remembering that everyone agreed to help him try again today. Hopefully this would help.

"Guess so," Lightning responded softly, slowly lowering the fist from in front of her chest so it was down by her side. She didn't like giving up that power, but like she told Riku, she could build it up again. It would just take time and a lot of patience.
Riku smiled weakly, but then he leaned forward and pecked Lightning on the cheek. "Thank you," he said, pulling back. He appreciated this, though it did feel wrong to take something like this away from her.

Lightning smiled weakly as well, her pale blue eyes on Riku's aqua ones. "You're welcome," she responded softly. She just hoped that this would work. But she had a feeling it would, or else she wouldn't have given that power to Riku. With her strength...maybe they could go back within a few days. The Maker would pay for what he did.
They all did find out how the newest power worked. Everyone was gathered in the training room, having just fired off their attacks as Riku called a barrier to block them. The impact, as usual, forced him to step back, but he held his ground as well. He was going to put this new power to work.

Lightning noticed an immediate change in Riku's shield compared to yesterday. Only a second or two after the power hit, it looked like it was already set to reflect back at the rest of them. She swung her sword and tried to shift into the Paradigm to block what was going to come back at her, but then she suddenly remembered that she lost that Paradigm and couldn't create a shield. ...Crap.
Riku grunted and put more force against his Keyblade. He released a rough grunt when he forced the spells back, reflecting them much easier this time. This power...he thought, seeing his friends create shields to deflect their spells. It's working...

Light's eyes darted down the line, and only one other person in the group knew about the power that she gave up. "Ven," she whispered in worry to the young man a few people away, seeing the attack reflected back at them. All of a sudden, something clicked in Ven's mind as well. He realized the problem.

As soon as Ven realized what was nagging at the back of his mind, he looked over at his sister. He saw her lift her arms in front of herself to take the impact, and that only reinforced what he already knew: she couldn't create shields anymore. He used his speed to make it over to her, and he wrapped an arm around her shoulders before he lifted his Keyblade and created a shield, grunting at the impact it had. But he didn't cave under the pressure; he wouldn't let Lightning get hurt.

Riku lowered his Keyblade once the spell reached his friends, all of them deflecting the blow before it disappeared. He exhaled a heavy breath, having tested his strength by holding the attack for a good minute or two. That was when he took the chance of sending it back at them...and it worked. It actually worked.

Ven looked down at his sister while other people started congratulating Riku, his arm still around her shoulders. "You okay?" he mouthed, lowering his Keyblade but still holding it in his grasp tightly. He noticed her nod, and he was so relieved. That could have been bad. Terrible, actually.
Riku nodded to his friends with a small, proud smile. But he noticed that two people weren't saying anything, focused on each other. His eyes rested on Ven and Lightning, wondering why Ven was standing next to her now. He wasn't there before, Riku realized. So what was going on?

Ven felt a gaze on him, and he turned his head to look at Riku. He summoned his Keyblade away and gave his friend one of his trademark smiles and a thumbs-up. Good job! He did what he was supposed to do, and much more easily than he ever had before. No doubt he would make good use of the power Lightning gave up.
Riku nodded to Ven, a small smile coming to his face again. Thanks, his look seemed to say. The power Lightning gave him really did help. Sometimes...I wonder where I would be without her.

Lightning felt slightly pathetic for not being able to defend herself, but she was proud that Riku could put her power to use so easily. She smiled weakly at him, also giving him a thumbs up like her big brother did. You did good. She was sure that he could take multiple attacks like that last one now. Maybe...he was ready to face the Maker.
Riku let his Keyblade leave his hand, his eyes resting on Lightning's as his small smile remained. He hoped everything was alright on her end, especially since she gave him her power. He didn't want her to get hurt... It was the last thing he ever wanted for her.

"You think you can go again? That was terrific," Sora said with a smirk, still holding his Keyblade in his hand. It looked like Riku could take a lot more abuse than he could yesterday. He didn't know what happened, but whatever it was, it was for the better. Depending on how well Riku did today, maybe he and Lightning could go back tomorrow.

"Is that a challenge?" Riku asked, arching an eyebrow at his best friend. He may have just summoned his Keyblade away, but he called it back to his grasp. "'Cause I'll take it." He wanted to prove some more that he could handle this, and he wanted to show Light that he was strong enough (partially thanks to her) to take her home. Finally.

Kairi laughed softly, holding her Keyblade in her grasp. "You're so typical!" she called across the room. He would want to prove himself; he'd been that way since he was a kid.
