Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning smiled at Riku's comment, and how happy she could see he was because of his accomplishment. She felt Ven squeeze her before he let her go and summoned his Keyblade again to throw another attack at Riku. She was ready as well; she'd go as long as Riku wanted her to.
They trained for another half hour, all of them calling to the strongest attacks they had in their arsenal to send at Riku. He was doing incredibly well. Kairi wasn't sure what changed, but he was creating barriers on and off all night. And he kept throwing the spells back at them. It got easier for him as time went on, but Kairi found herself using a lot of her energy to create attacks and block them. Soon, they would have to call it a night.

Ven blocked another attack that was sent back at him and Lightning, his shield nearly giving out that time because he was tired. He looked down the line once they were in the clear, and he saw that the apprentices were also tired. It was weird that he was as tired as they were, but then again, he was creating a shield large enough for two people. It was harder. I think it's time we call it a night.
Kairi's shield disappeared, the young woman smiling at her best friend. "Riku, you're doing great," she praised. He nodded to her, though he didn't speak since he was slightly out of breath. "But, do you think we can stop for the night? I don't want to leave Lydia in Namine's hands all night, and besides...this is all quite tiring." She smiled sheepishly, tucking some hair behind her ear. She didn't know if it was just her or not, but she really could use some rest.

"Diddo," Sora said sheepishly, hearing others murmur words of agreement. This had gone on for an extremely long time, and it seemed like Riku proved himself. If he was tired, Sora really couldn't tell. To him, it seemed like he and Lightning would be good to go as soon as they were ready.
Riku lowered his Keyblade, nodding. "Yeah, sure," he said instantly. If they were tired, he'd stop. It was pretty late, now that he thought about it. How long had they been at this, anyway? "Thanks, guys." He saw a few of his friends nod before taking their leave, his own Keyblade disappearing from his grasp.

Lightning gave Ven a small look of appreciation before he left along with the rest of the stragglers who probably wanted to go snack or lay down. She wasn't as tired as the rest of them since she was only attacking and not creating shields too, but she still wouldn't mind resting. After such a successful session, she wondered what Riku thought about going back in time. Was that day much closer now than it was before?
Riku watched everyone leave, though his eyes darted to Lightning. He tilted his head, asking a silent question with his eyes. Bed? Was she tired as well? He wouldn't mind resting, and he didn't even know if he would sleep. But he would have to be well-rested for the day the Maker was the target. That day would probably be closer now that he had a hold on his barriers.

"Mm," Lightning hummed with a small nod to Riku's silent question. She was ready for bed if he was. She turned around and started out of the room, having faith that he would follow. She didn't know if she would stay in bed or try to regain at least some use of shields again; she would decide on it later. But she wouldn't let Riku know her plans. He needed to focus on resting up. Soon...they would go for the Maker.
Riku smiled ever so slightly, humming to himself as he started after the person he loved. The day was even closer than he thought. She would be going home soon, and her family would be there waiting for her. All of them.

Two days later

Lightning pulled back from the hug she gave her brother, nodding to him slightly in farewell. But it wasn't really farewell, because she was going to return to him, Riku, and their other friends. It was time to go to the past. They had taken another day of training just to be sure Riku could create the shields still, and he could. Light just hoped that it was enough to stop the Maker...and save the lives of her and her family. If they failed here, then there were no second chances. But she was more than ready to save her family.

Kairi gave her best friend a hug, wishing him good luck. She knew that their lives would change the moment he went back; everything would be different. It was a little saddening, because she was going to miss her child. But, hopefully her and Sora's lives would revolve around their precious little girl.

"Uncle Riku!" Lydia squealed. She was set down by her father to go and give her favorite uncle a hug. Now that her mother was done, it was her turn. She ran over to him and held her arms out to him. He bent down and picked her up, and she immediately wrapped her arms around his neck. She didn't know where he was going, but it was always sad to see someone leave. "I'm gonna miss you."

Riku looked to his best friends, his eyes growing sad. He desperately hoped they had this little girl after things in the past were changed. He turned his head and kissed Lydia's head of light brown hair, squeezing her gently. "I'm gonna miss you too, kid. Don't be too much trouble for your mom and dad, okay?"

"Okay," Lydia said, pulling back and smiling at her uncle. He then set her down, and she went to stand by her parents' side. She noticed Riku look over at Lightning. He was probably ready to go.

Sora bent down and picked up Lydia again, holding her as he looked back to Riku and Lightning. "Good luck," he said with a small nod, eyebrows furrowing slightly in seriousness. "We'll get out of here so we're not in the way." He didn't want anybody accidentally running through that portal, because if they went back to that past unprepared, they wouldn't survive.
Riku nodded to his friends, understanding. It would be dangerous for anyone to be in the line of fire, as far as going through the portal would be. He turned, tearing his gaze away from everyone to get a few yards away. He would need to wear his armor for protection, so as he walked he pressed the button. It covered his body instantly, a small clanking coming from every footstep. Let's do this.

Lightning saw everyone turn around and go back inside, not because they didn't want to be with her and Riku, but because they understood that this mission was only theirs. They were the ones who worked so hard to become strong enough to face this past. Lightning curled her hands into fists by her sides, seeing Riku out of the corner of her eye. Was there anything she needed to know about time travel before they went?
Riku stopped walking a few feet away, turning to look at Lightning. She was the one who held the watch, so it would be her choice when they left. He looked at her, realizing that there was one more thing he needed to tell her before they took off. It was complicated, but she was intelligent; she would understand.

Lightning turned her head to look at Riku, unable to see his expression because he was already donned in armor. "Are we ready?" she asked lowly, hands uncurling and then recurling slightly in anticipation. She was as ready as she would ever be. It was do or die. Literally.
"There's one more thing you need to know about going back," Riku said then, his eyes resting on Lightning's even if she couldn't see them. There was also one more thing he wanted to do before they left, which would require him to take his helmet off.

Light nodded faintly to Riku, staying where she was in silence. She wondered what he was going to tell her now, and why he didn't tell it to her sooner. It was time to go back, after all. Either he was really putting something off, or he forgot to tell her. Whatever the case, she would find out soon enough what was going on.
"When we go back, you will be holding onto your friends, just like you had back then. But you won't be with me after we go through that portal," Riku said, shaking his head faintly. "Your consciousness will merge with the one that's already there." He would be on his own.
  • Author
Lightning grunted, nodding faintly in understanding. She figured that was just a rule of time travel; she didn't need to know why certain things happened, only that they did. As soon as she stepped through that portal, she would focus on keeping a grip on her friends. She couldn't drop them.
"Another version of me won't be coming to knock you over...not like I did last time," Riku said, his hands curling into fists. "I'll be standing right there with you to fight off the Maker." But once the job was done, he had to leave.

"Okay," Lightning said with a small nod, her expression the same. That was good, because the other version of Riku would have messed things up. He would vanish whenever his future self arrived. The future version will disappear once his future future self will appear. Heh, this is complicated... But she accepted it.
Riku didn't say anything more, considering that was all he had to tell her. He would see her again, very soon. This time, she would be alive and well, and her family would be by her side. Everything would be set right.

"...Let's get going," Light said lowly after a few moments, her hands curling up tighter. She wanted to go save her family. Even if she died trying...It was better than living a life with no regard to their deaths. She was going to protect them, like they did for her in the past.
