Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku grunted slightly, his eyes squeezing shut in a little bit of pain. He opened his eyes, looking down at Sora, and he couldn't help but start laughing. "Really, Sora?" he asked amidst his laughter, looking at his friend in amusement. That was pathetic.

"Hey!" Sora cried in his own defense. He was still new at this; Riku had no right to make fun of him! And besides, that move would have been easier if he was taller and had longer legs.
Riku shook his head, letting go of Sora's arm and taking the pressure off his knee and friend's chest. He stood up. "I know, I know. You're just a beginner," he said, rolling his eyes. Of course, now that he was distracted, he wasn't following one of his own rules; Sora could strike at him, and he wouldn't even be ready.

Sora started pushing himself up immediately, sitting in an upright position. Wait a minute...he thought, seeing Riku standing right next to him and looking distracted. He turned onto his side and swung his legs in a semi-circle to hit Riku, recalling that move from a movie he once saw.
Riku's chuckles came to a halt, the older boy's legs getting knocked out from under him. He landed on his back with a pained grunt, the wind getting knocked out of him. Ow...

Sora moved over and managed to pin Riku, his knee on his friend's chest. He really didn't know what to do with his arms, though, so he gripped Riku's shoulder with one hand and left the other alone. He silently smirked down at his friend, knowing he understood what Sora meant. Expect the unexpected, Riku.
Riku opened his eyes, alarmed gaze finding Sora. When he saw his friend's expression, his eyes narrowed. "Lucky shot," he said, trying to protect his own ego. Sora had actually caught him off guard, and Riku had neglected to pay attention. His fault.

"Yeah, sure," Sora said, rolling his eyes and still smirking. Despite the light pain he still felt, he was enjoying this. This was the first time he really smiled or acted silly in a very long time.
Riku glanced down, seeing the position that Sora held. It was then his turn to smirk up at his best friend. He took in a breath and then grunted, swinging his legs up and locking them around Sora's neck, then pulling them down to get Sora off of him. He was performing the move Sora painfully failed at.

Sora grunted, being pulled back by Riku's forceful grip. His knee came of Riku's chest and his grip on his shoulder came undone, Sora lying on his back by the end of it. He would have winced, but his neck and throat hurt too badly. Ow.
"Here's another lesson for you," Riku said, grunting slightly as he held Sora down. "Never let your guard down. And one more thing to remember..." He released Sora from his grip. "Never underestimate your opponents."

Sora remained on his back, eyebrows furrowed as he looked in Riku's direction. Once he was free, he lifted a hand to his neck. That really hurt! That was why he hadn't wanted to do it to Riku earlier.
Riku kept his chin up as he looked at Sora, but then he sighed, letting his head relax on the ground. They had more to do, so he hoped Sora was ready.

What felt like an eternity later, Sora and Riku were still having their session. Sora didn't want to get cocky, but he felt like he was starting to get the hang of this. But every time he started feeling that way, Riku introduced a move that knocked him down. Sora was incredibly sore now, and tired, but he wasn't about to give up. It was too important for him to learn some self-defense for him to give up just because he was tired.
"Let's go," Riku said, assuming the same defensive stance. "Don't quit now, Sora. You can do more than that." He was breathing heavy from how much he was dodging and dealing attacks. Sora was picking this up quickly.

Sora grunted, and he pushed on with his tired feet and ran at Riku. When he was right by him, he lifted a foot and swung high, aiming to knock Riku in the back. But, knowing Riku, he would probably avoid the attack and turn it against Sora.

Riku lifted an arm and blocked the attack, grunting at the hard impact against his forearm. But he didn't stop there. Instead, he grabbed onto Sora's lower leg and turned, intending to swing his friend off his feet.

Kairi exitted the shack, having heard combat up here before. But on top of that, she'd caught onto Riku's taunting; training session, again. She wasn't really surprised, but...they weren't using toy swords, were they? She couldn't hear the usual clattering of the wood...

Sora felt Riku grab onto his leg and he prepared to set his other foot so he wouldn't have been flipped, but when Riku swung him, he was unprepared. His other foot came off the ground, and now he couldn't find any way to recover.

A rough roar left Riku's throat as he released Sora mid-swing, sending him a few feet into the air; he didn't swing him too far, though, just enough so that his best friend would still land on the islet.

Kairi blinked when she saw Riku's move, and she was surprised. No, they weren't using toy swords... The girl picked her pace up to a jog, starting at a quicker pace over the bridge.

Sora grunted when he hit the ground, rolling and managing to stop himself before he hit a tree by the edge of the islet. He stopped on his stomach, and he kept his face against the ground in tiredness for a few moments before he set his hands on the ground and pushed himself up onto his hands and knees.

Riku had his eyebrows furrowed as he stared at Sora not too far away, still in his spot in the middle of the islet. But he heard rushed footsteps behind him, turning around. "Oh, hey Kairi," he greeted, slightly out of breath because of all the techniques he and Sora had been doing.

Kairi came to a stop at the end of the ramp, her eyes going from Riku to Sora. "What are you two doing?" she asked in bewilderment. They'd never done this before...

  • Author
Sora looked up at Kairi when she showed up, but upon hearing her question, he looked to Riku. He'd let his friend handle that one; he was a little too tired and out of breath to explain the purpose of this.

"Just a little training session," Riku said with a shrug. He motioned to the boy not too far off. "Sora wanted to learn hand-to-hand combat." He was the teacher, obviously. And Sora was the trainee...making progress.

Kairi blinked, not expecting that. Her eyes instantly went to Sora. Hand-to-hand combat? Since when was that even an interest?

Sora managed to rise to his feet, ignoring his tired muscles and pain as he walked over towards Riku and Kairi. "Let's call it a day," he suggested. He really was too tired to take any more beatings from Riku right now.
Riku looked back toward his best friend, nodding slightly. "Sounds good. I'm starving anyway," he said, bringing a hand to his stomach without thought. It was a little after noon anyway, so he'd skipped out on lunch.
