Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku hesitated, closing his eyes for a moment before he looked at Lightning from behind his mask. "One more thing," he said softly, lifting his hands to grasp his helmet. He wanted just one more thing before this all ended.

Light hummed slightly in confusion, tilting her head as she looked at Riku. Her mind was all set on what was going to happen in the past, so she wasn't quite thinking about what else needed to happen before she and Riku went through. She loved him with all her heart, though, which was why she wasn't scolding him for delaying this.
Riku took his helmet off his head, shaking his silver hair out of his face slightly before tucking the mask underneath his arm. He looked at Lightning and walked towards her, stopping in front of her. He gazed at her for a moment, knowing that his younger self would be able to look at this face everyday after things were set right. Hopefully, he would make the right decision in marrying her someday. Someday soon.

Lightning's eyes danced over Riku's face, and then it clicked in her mind what he wanted. Duh. She lifted one hand to Riku's shoulder, the other going to his cheek as she stood up on her toes just a little bit. She shut her eyes and gave him a soft kiss, knowing this could possibly be their last.
Riku's eyes instantly closed, the young man savoring the kiss while it lasted. He kissed the woman he loved back, though he kept it gentle. As much passion as he held within him towards her, he would prefer this kiss to be gentle than rough.

Lightning's arms wove around Riku's neck as the soft kiss continued, her fears getting to her a little bit. What if she lost this? She knew that if she died, Riku would die along with her. But if he died first and she lived...she didn't know what she'd do. She just prayed that they would both survive. She gently pulled back from the kiss and instead moved closer to give Riku a hug, feeling his armor against her. Even if it wasn't extremely comfortable to hug, she still held onto him. She was scared, but there was no turning back.
Riku lifted his free arm, placing his hand on the small of Lightning's back once the kiss was done. He took in a breath, his eyes remaining closed as he hugged her. We're going to win this, he told her silently. You're going to be with your family again.

Lightning held onto Riku a little longer, her eyes remaining shut as the two of them stood outside and alone. She felt all her fear of losing Riku coming back, but she knew that this time, she had to face her fears. She couldn't put off facing them any longer. "...Let's go," she whispered in Riku's ear, gently pulling back. It was time to go.
Riku released Lightning, nodding as well. "Right," he said softly. He lifted his helmet and placed it securely back on his head, ready whenever Lightning was. He held his hand out for the watch, knowing what time exactly that they needed to go back.

Lightning reached into her pouch and pulled out the watch, silently handing it to Riku. He would hold onto the watch, because this version of her was going to physically vanish once they reached the past. She would be holding onto her friends in that time, not walking out of a portal with Riku. Time travel was weird, but she accepted it.
Riku held onto the watch with one gloved hand, using the other to set the coordinates. Once it was ready, he pressed a button and a portal appeared to his left. He looked at it, then wrapping his hand around the watch. "Ready?" he asked softly. This was it.

Light nodded faintly, stepping beside Riku and slipping her hand into his empty one. "Yeah," she said lowly. "Ready." As ready as I can be, anyway. She was going back to face a horrible scene. This was one of the scariest fights she had to face, because there was nothing she could do to protect herself. It was all on Riku.
I'll make this right. I'll protect you. Riku squeezed Lightning's hand, continuing to hold it securely as he started toward the portal. He entered it, flowing through the time continuum. Light's hand would leave his any moment now, and he would have to protect her and her friends. He had to save them all, including her.

Seven years in the past

Lightning had a tight grasp on Hope's hands, the young woman on her knees by the fault in the ground. She looked over to the side and had a sudden sense of deja vu, and for one brief second, she thought she saw herself standing by the figure of the Black Knight. But then she vanished, and everything came rushing back to Lightning. She held back a cry because of the pain she suddenly felt all over her body, since she hadn't had such wounds just a few minutes ago in the future. She was still the Lightning that went to the future with Riku, even if she never left. She had all the memories and abilities of that older self. The young woman heard Sazh yelling at her to pull them all up, and then she heard the Maker roar. Her eyes widened as she looked up, seeing the monster look down at her and her friends. Oh no...

Riku heard the roar from the Maker, and he instantly became furious. He was a few yards from Lightning, who was busy holding up her friends. He turned his back to her, hearing Hope cry out in fear. But all they had to focus on was keeping a grip on each other; he would face the Maker. He summoned his Keyblade to his hand, knowing what was about to come. The beam. The Maker roared again before releasing it, and Riku grunted as he created a tall, wide shield. The force behind the impact pushed him back slightly, but he held his ground. He had to succeed. It would be what set things right.

Lightning gasped softly at the sound she heard, and she looked at the Maker from her spot before she looked to the person who had the shield up. Riku! The shield actually stood up to the Maker's beam! Now she just hoped he would be strong enough to reflect the beam and give the Maker a dose of his own medicine. He had to, or else they were all dead.
Riku grunted, digging his boots into the ground so he could hold the barrier up. He had to in order to save the love of his life and her family. Reflect it, he ordered himself. Reflect it! If he didn't, this was all over.

Light grunted, squeezing her eyes shut in pain as she slid a little in the grass. She lifted one of her feet and placed that on the ground to keep herself from moving any closer to the crack in the earth. She hadn't even thought of the possibility that she wouldn't be able to hold up her friends, but it was harder than she thought. She had to hold on for another minute or two and gather the strength to pull them up...

Riku remembered the practice he recently had, when all of his friends attacked him at the same time. This was no different, though more powerful. He could do this! Riku stared at the light that was against the barrier, making him squint behind his mask. Failing was out of the question. The next seven years couldn't be the same!

"Hey, what's going on up there, soldier?!" Sazh cried in fear, hanging onto Snow's ankles for dear life. He could see some kind of attack being fired off, and he could feel the earth shake, but they weren't affected! He tried to see Lightning from his spot, but she didn't respond anyway, only grinding her teeth to keep her friends from falling to their deaths.
"There...There's someone fighting off the Maker!" Hope cried in surprise, fear also in his voice. He gripped Lightning's hands as tightly as he could, though his wide eyes were on the guy in black. Who was he?!

Lightning looked over her shoulder, ignoring Hope and Sazh to look at the figure who still was deflecting the beam. "Riku!" she cried. He had to do this! He had to shoot that beam back at the Maker. Even if his shield could absorb it, it didn't matter. The Maker would kill them off with another blow. He had to end it, now.
"I know!" Riku hollered, though his voice was strained. He had to finish the job immediately, or none of them would survive. He managed to take a step forward a moment ago, but he had to do more than that to fight off the Maker completely. He felt warmth engulf his heart, and he knew it was speaking to him. Protect the things that matter. Riku ground his teeth together, gripping his Keyblade tightly. A roar left his throat as he pushed against the beam, finding the strength within him to fight it off completely. The beam suddenly left his shield and fired back at the Maker, causing a loud roar to leave the beast.

Lightning gasped, eyes wide as the Maker took the full force of his own attack. Riku just...beat him. She heard the Maker roar in pain, and that shook the earth, making the crack widen. Her eyes widened as some of the ground crumbled right by her feet, the Maker's roar lingering in the air as the god started to vanish from existence. That was great, but now Lightning and her friends were still going to fall! They were still going to die!
Riku's legs shook, and he suddenly fell to his knees as he watched the Maker fade out of existence. He stabbed his Keyblade into the ground to try and hold himself up, but he still felt like he was drained. I'm so weak...he thought in realization. That took all of his energy, every last ounce.
