Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"R-Riku!" Lightning cried out in fear, feeling herself sliding some more. She had a tight grip on Hope's hands, but her feet weren't firmly planted on the ground so that she could hold up three people. The Maker may have been defeated, but the ground was crumbling right by her and she was about to fall. All their work was about to be for nothing!
Riku turned his head at the cry, Lightning's voice echoing in his ears. "...Light," he whispered weakly, seeing her form spinning. She...was going to fall. She was going to die...but he wasn't about to let that happen. He used his Keyblade for balance, pushing himself to his feet. He then forced his legs to carry him to her position, the young man wrapping his arms around Lightning's waist from behind. He grunted, starting to pull her away from the crack in the earth. She wasn't about to die. Not this time.

Lightning felt a strong pair of arms wrap around her waist and pull her up to her feet, also pulling up the line of people that Light held onto. She grunted and felt her feet find the ground, even if her legs felt like jello. She gritted her teeth and started walking backwards, starting to pull her friends out of the crack with Riku's assistance. We're going to live...
Snow looked up when he saw Hope's legs get closer to land, and when the boy moved his leg to put it on the ground, he moved his grip to the ledge. He pulled himself up, groaning as he began to pull Sazh up as well. "C'mon, big guy!" he grunted roughly. They were getting out of this together.

Lightning released Hope's hands when he was on the ground, seeing Sazh and Snow also climbing out of the crack. "We...we did it," she said breathlessly to the person holding onto her, her head turning to face him even if her bangs were in her eyes. She ignored all the throbbing in her body and the urge to pass out, things a little fuzzy. But it didn't matter. They were alive. She looked up at the Black Knight, unaware that a younger version of Riku was flying into this world with his best friend.
Riku's grip on Lightning loosened considerably, the young man releasing her and stumbling back from weakness. Little did he know that his younger self was feeling the effects of both of them being here at the same time, though they weren't prominent. His time here... It was up.

Lightning fell down to her knees, catching herself with her hands before she would have hit her face. "R-Riku?" she stuttered, looking over her shoulder at him and seeing him stumble back. She couldn't see his expression, but surely it wasn't good. This wasn't a part of the plan.

Sora looked over to the side and noticed Riku not riding so smoothly on his bike, and he furrowed his eyebrows behind his helmet. "Hey, you okay?" he asked, not noticing that the chaos on Gran Pulse practically ended when the Maker was destroyed. He was too concerned for his best friend.

"...No," Riku managed, gritting his teeth as pictures flashed before his eyes. But...they weren't any that he recognized. He blinked forcefully, swerving just in time to miss a piece of rubble sticking out of the ground. He didn't know what was happening, but it hurt. Badly. He grunted, close to Lightning's position but unaware that the Black Knight was there, and was unsteady on his feet.

"Riku," Light whispered to the Black Knight, seeing him struggling to stay on his feet. What's going on?! He had told her a lot about what would happen when they came back, but he didn't say that he was going to struggle so much. She tried to push herself up to help him, but she only fell back down to her hands and knees. Riku...
As Riku got closer to where Lightning was, the pain grew stronger. He felt everything changing, his sight blurring and spinning. It affected the way he controlled his glider, and he ended up losing his hold on it. He crashed his glider into the earth yards from where Lightning was, the boy flying off his glider and rolling on the ground. The force wasn't enough to knock him out, but the pain would be close enough. A sharp cry left him when it felt like he got struck in the head, the closeness also affecting the Black Knight.

Sora grunted, jumping off his own glider and running the distance between himself and his friend. "Hey! Riku!" he hollered, kneeling down by his best friend. What just happened?! Talk to me! He had no clue what just happened, nor did he have a clue that Lightning and her friends were so close. He couldn't see them past a pile of rubble and rock.
Riku gripped his helmet, another sharp cry leaving his throat when he saw more images. They didn't belong to him...but Lightning was there. He was curled on his side, fighting off the pain as he saw the memories flash before his eyes. What was going on? On the other side of the rubble the Black Knight fell to his knees, but he heard the cries. It was his time to go. He looked to Lightning and pressed a button on the watch, having realized what was happening. His younger self was suffering from gaining all of his memories, and seven years of them could be too much. A portal appeared behind him, the Black Knight struggling to get to his feet so he could leave.

Lightning grunted, seeing Riku stand to leave but not understanding why. But it didn't matter. She forced herself up despite the agonizing pain, the young woman stumbling over to him and then putting his arm around her shoulder. This time, she would help him. She'd help him over to the portal so he could leave, because it seemed like he had to.
The Black Knight stumbled toward the portal with Lightning's help, but before he left, he had to tell her something. "Behind the rubble," he told her weakly. That was where she needed to go. Another cry he recognized as his own came from that direction, and he stumbled the few feet more toward the portal. He started to take his arm back, glancing at Lightning one more time before he jumped through it, disappearing within seconds.

Light didn't understand what Riku meant by what he said, nor did she understand that the younger Riku was screaming in pain just a few yards away. People were crying everywhere, and even at different distances, she could hear their screams of agony from here. When the Black Knight went through the portal and the portal vanished, Lightning sank down to her knees, unsure of whether or not her friends were conscious. She wasn't so sure she would be much longer.
The memory collecting process didn't stop when Riku's future self vanished, millions of images flashing before his eyes. He groaned in agony, gripping his helmet as he recalled a time with Lightning. One that he didn't remember having. Then he saw a little girl that looked like Kairi and Sora, and then he saw both of them, older. Make it stop...

"Riku! Snap out of it!" Sora cried, worried over his friend that was just laying on the ground groaning and crying out in pain. Sora didn't see anything that would have pierced Riku's armor and hurt him, and he was gripping his head anyway. Little did he know that on the other side of the rubble, Lightning swayed on knees and then fell onto her side in weakness. Everything's falling apart...
Riku felt his consciousness fading, and as that happened, his glider and armor disappeared. He gripped his silver hair, wincing as the images flickered in his mind. But as his consciousness left him, so did they. Sora's words and the cries of others echoed around him, but it all ended. His arms fell to the ground and his body went limp, the nearly-nineteen year old falling unconscious in the middle of the chaos.

Riku wasn't the only one to pass out at that instant. Lightning blinked her blurry vision and stared out at the ruins of Cocoon, seeing the fire that never went out. But...Gran Pulse had a chance of surviving with the Maker gone. Light willingly gave up her consciousness, head falling to the ground as she lost her grip on reality. Sorry, Riku...I can't come find you like I promised.
Snow recovered, his legs no longer as wobbly since he was on solid ground. He looked over, seeing that Hope was still conscious, though barely. His eyes darted over to his sister-in-law and he immediately pushed himself up. She was unconscious, which he was sure of when he was closer. Snow bent down and put his arms under her body, picking her up. Light was strong for as long as she could be, but no one was invincible.

Sora held his Keyblade in his grasp, having just cast a Cure spell over his unconscious friend even if he couldn't see any wounds. He had been out for quite a few minutes now, and Sora was incredibly worried. "C'mon, Riku...snap out of it," he said quietly. What caused this?
While Riku was unconscious, he saw more images in his head. They were of himself, creating some device and then going back to get Lightning. Did he time travel? The young man grunted softly, his eyebrows furrowing as he started coming to. Why did he have such ugly pictures of a time revolving around Lightning?
  • Author
Sora furrowed his eyebrows when Riku did, his bright blue eyes still on his friend. He had taken off his helmet a few moments ago to be able to see him better, and now he could see that he was coming to. "Riku," he said, still concerned. He was waking up, which was great, but why was he unconscious at all?
Riku opened his eyes at the call, seeing his best friend crouched in front of him. He looked up at him, somewhat confused. What just happened? And where was Lightning?
  • Author
"You okay?" Sora asked, eyebrows still furrowed in seriousness. He looked alright; he wasn't groggy at all from being unconscious. And if he had any pain before, it should have been gone now because of the Cure spell. If Riku was okay...then they really needed to search for Lightning and her friends. This place was a mess.
