Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Only three people were left in the room after everyone else went back to the bedrooms: Sora, Riku, and Lightning. He turned his head to look at his best friend, keeping his voice soft even if nobody was there to really hear him. "I'll go talk to the mayor and give him an idea what's up," he said softly. "I'll ask for money, too, so I can go to the store and buy food."
Riku tore his eyes away from Lightning, his gaze resting on his friend. "Need any help?" he asked, taking his hands out of his pockets. If so, he would go. Lightning was out cold... There wasn't much he could do here.

"Nah," Sora said, faintly shaking his head. "I got it. Maybe you should stay here, just in case they need anything." Lightning was the only person in the group who had ever been to the Islands, after all. And she wasn't conscious right now, so if her friends needed any help, they had nowhere to go to but Riku.
"Mm," Riku hummed with a small nod. Sora was right. He wasn't sure what he'd do, but he'd stay here in case anyone needed any help. He doubted that would be the case, since they all went to the bedrooms to rest. Everyone but his beloved.

"I'll go, but...First, tell me what happened back on Pulse," Sora said, eyebrows furrowing as he looked at Riku. He just suddenly collapsed on him out there. Maybe Riku needed to rest too, if he still wasn't feeling good from whatever happened. It was scary to see somebody so strong collapse for no reason like that.
Riku looked away at that, not sure how to answer. "...I don't know," he admitted softly. "I think...I gained memories." His eyebrows furrowed at the idea, but it was one he felt was true. Why would he lie about something like that?

Sora's expression remained the same, though confusion was added to the mix of emotions that were already on his face. "Huh?" he said dumbly. Riku gained memories? Sora didn't know that he was missing any in the first place.
Riku shrugged. "I don't really understand it either," he said. It was like the memories were from some future he had no idea existed. Everyone was older... Everyone except for Lightning. Regardless, he was still just as confused as Sora.

"Huh," Sora said again, though it wasn't a question this time. He shook his spiky head after a moment, chasing away his thoughts. "Well, I'll give you some time to think about it. Take it easy while I'm gone." He turned and briefly lifted a hand to Riku's shoulder as he passed by, heading towards the exit. They'd solve this mystery later.
Riku grunted softly, but didn't say anything more. He watched Sora go, though a moment after he was gone, he turned his head to look down at the woman on the couch. He released a small sigh, closing his eyes as he ran a hand through his hair. What happened?

After a few moments, Lightning grunted softly. She felt herself fading in and out of consciousness, not staying one way or another because of her desires. She had to be awake, because she promised to find Riku after being sent back in time. But she had to stay unconscious too, because her body needed time to heal. All her wounds, from the past few days of battle on Gran Pulse and her fight with Carson that almost got her killed...they lingered.
Riku approached the couch at the soft sound, his eyebrows furrowing again in seriousness and concern. "Light?" he called softly, squatting down in front of the couch. He had images of her in his head, but he wasn't really the one that experienced those memories, was he? Could she tell him what exactly was going on?

Light heard her name, and it sounded soft, whether Riku spoke it that way or she just couldn't hear too well. She furrowed her eyebrows slightly and peeked her eyes open, her hazy vision clearing after a few moments so that she could better see the young man who was in front of her. She actually hadn't seen this Riku in weeks. In a way, it was good to see him younger than her again.
Upon seeing Lightning's eyes, Riku lifted one of his hands to sit atop hers. "Hey," he said gently. "You okay?" She looked awful, which didn't sit well with him. He didn't expect her to come out of this unscathed, however; nobody could have without a miracle.

"Yeah," Light managed quietly, carefully rolling over onto her side while not disturbing Riku's hand that was atop hers on the couch. She was alive, and so was her family. Her world was completely demolished, and that hurt a lot, but she couldn't grieve that when her family was all okay. They all survived when they should have died.
Riku didn't know what to say, so he simply nodded. He was glad to hear that Lightning was alright, though in the back of his mind he knew she shouldn't have been. He...lost her. She left him while he was on his way to save her, or that was how it should have been. I'm so confused.

"You okay?" Light asked quietly, unaware of what was going on inside Riku's head. She hadn't even thought about him assuming the memories of his older self. It wasn't impossible, since she clearly had the memories of her older self, but...She didn't know. Everything was still a mess, but it was better than it was before.
"A little worried, and confused," Riku admitted, his eyes leaving Lightning's to find his hand on top of hers. He curled his hand around it gently, feeling sorrow as well. The emotions within him weren't artificial; what he had in his mind now... It was all real.

Lightning blinked, now feeling the same two emotions that Riku just mentioned. "Why?" she asked quietly. She could understand why he was worried, because Gran Pulse and Cocoon were a mess, and she and her family were badly wounded. But confused? Was he confused as to what caused all that?
Riku looked back up at Lightning, but instead of answering her question straightforward, he asked a question of his own. "...Why do I have memories of a place I've never been?" he asked softly. Some castle...and his friends staying there with him. It didn't make much sense.
  • Author
Light grunted, surprised at what Riku just said. He...had the memories? He must have remembered the future, because she didn't know what other memories he could have been referring to. She tried to think despite her pounding headache. The Black Knight took her back to this time, and now she, her old self, had memories of her future self. Because they were in the same world. Did that mean Riku...?
When Lightning didn't answer, Riku decided to elaborate. "I was coming to get you when all of a sudden I just started seeing all of these images," he said, his eyes staring down at the couch. "I saw some of you and me, and Sora and Kairi were older... They even had a kid. And I was training someone named Terrian?" He looked up at Lightning with confused eyes. "Please tell me I'm not going crazy."

Lightning's eyes darted up to Riku, and she shook her head faintly to his last comment. "You're not crazy," she said lowly, pressing her hand against the couch and starting to push herself up. She grunted in pain, squeezing her eyes shut. Suck it up and tell Riku what's going on. Pain is nothing.
Riku felt somewhat relieved, though his worries still weren't settled. What was going on? If everyone was older, except for Lightning, then it had to be something of the future... "Did you time travel again?" he asked, looking up at her. But how?
  • Author
Light sat herself upright, pressed against the side of the couch so that she would have something to lean against. She opened her eyes after the pain faded a little, seeing Riku still staring at her. "Yeah," she said softly. She did travel time, and so did he.
