Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Kairi sat there for a long while, seeing how the shadows changed around her as the sun got lower in the sky. She didn't move, though, simply staring down at the boy she held within her heart. He was still unconscious, still away from her. But that was okay; she wasn't about to leave him.

Sora suddenly felt his feet touch down on something, and he automatically stood upright when he felt stable. He looked around the dark area and took in a breath, realizing that he had no trouble breathing and that there was no water around him. He took a small step forward and the area was engulfed with light. Instinct took over as he lifted his hands, blocking the light as the platform beneath him became revealed.

Kairi tore her eyes away from Sora after another moment, and that was when she caught somebody approaching the island. By the silver hair, she knew who it was. "Riku!"

Riku looked up at the call, seeing Kairi sitting against the Paopu tree. He furrowed his eyebrows in speculation, but by her cry, there was something wrong. He could just tell.

Sora lowered his arms after a few moments, and he lifted his gaze to the non-existent sky in time to see birds fly off into the darkness. He then looked down at the platform to see that it was one that he recognized. It was a picture of him, but he wasn't holding his Keyblade. And a section of the platform was missing.
Kairi saw Riku ditch his boat at the dock and start over toward her in a jog, and she was sure he must have sensed her worry. She wasn't that good at hiding it anyway. Regardless, she lowered her sights back to the boy resting in her lap, running her fingertips over his forehead again.

"Your heart is fractured."

Sora automatically looked towards the sky, the silent voice audible to him. This platform, it must have represented his heart. He walked over towards the broken off area and looked down at it, saddened at what he heard. His heart was damaged...fractured.

Riku waded through the shallow water, approaching the ladder that led up to the islet directly. He climbed up it quickly, getting onto the land in time to see what was going on. Sora...was in Kairi's lap? "What's going on?" he asked, walking over to the redhead.

Kairi looked up, her fingers in Sora's brown hair. "He passed out right after you left," she explained, looking back down at the boy she loved as Riku sat on the opposite side of him. It happened quite quickly, really. She hadn't had much time to react.

"The Keyblade wants to return to you, but it can't as long as your heart is damaged."

Sora felt his lips part slightly in sadness and shock, the teen surprised. The Keyblade was meant to come back to him! But...It couldn't. His heart was fractured, and as long as it was in this state, then he would never hold the Keyblade again. So...how was he supposed to heal his heart?

Riku grunted a response, looking down at Sora at that news. Why would he pass out? Yeah, he looked a little beat after their training this after noon, but not enough to actually seem like he was going to faint.

"You cannot heal your heart on your own."

Sora frowned, looking up at the sky with bright blue eyes. Then how is it going to be healed? he thought, wondering if that mysterious, calm voice could understand what he was feeling. He needed the Keyblade back!

Kairi glanced up at Riku, biting her lip. "You think...you were too hard on him?" she asked. She saw Riku meet her eyes with a start, and she shrugged weakly. "It's just a thought, Riku. It is awfully hot out today. Having him train so hard without water breaks could definitely cause him to feel lightheaded..."

"And then lead to this," Riku finished for her, shaking his head as he closed his eyes. Great. He was too caught up in the action to really notice what mattered. It wasn't fair that Sora had to pay the price for that.

"Good luck, Sora."

Sora's eyes widened, and he stared up at the empty sky. "No, wait!" he cried without thought, reaching a hand upwards. But it was too late. Light engulfed the area and he was forced to shield his eyes as everything disappeared from his vision.

"He'll forgive you, you know. Sora never holds grudges," Kairi assured the older teen across from her, seeing the look on his face. He obviously didn't like that he was one of the reasons this was happening, and she didn't like that it happened either. But it was too late.

Riku nodded, glancing up at Kairi. "Yeah, I know." He then lowered his eyes back to his best friend. Sometimes you're too nice for your own good, you know.

As he left his Dive to the Heart, Sora started to become aware of his surroundings in the real world again. First, he felt the sweltering heat. He had forgotten about that, when the cool water engulfed him on his way down to the platform.
Kairi lowered her gaze to Sora as well at the silence, deciding to run her hands through his hair again. Not only did she miss doing it, but she knew that Sora enjoyed it. Even if he was unconscious now, it was still worth it in her eyes.

Then next thing Sora was aware of was a hand lightly running through his hair. He recognized that light touch anywhere, even if he hadn't felt it for what seemed like an eternity. Kairi? He turned his head towards the source of the touch a little bit, starting to wake up more quickly.
Kairi blinked at the small movement, that halting her hand. Her fingers stopped in Sora's hair, the girl looking down at him. "...Sora?" she called softly. Was he waking up?

Sora hummed softly at the call, and after a few moments, he forced his tired eyes to open. He blinked a few times because of the brightness of the sun, but then he looked up and saw an angel staring down at him. Kairi.
Kairi smiled, glancing up at Riku after seeing Sora's eyes. However, her gaze immediately returned to the boy she loved. "You're awake," she said with a small nod. That was relieving; it was never comforting to see him pass out the way he had.

"Yeah," Sora said softly, feeling like Kairi stated an obvious fact. How long had he been out, though? In some ways, it felt like it was hours. In others, it felt like it was only a few seconds. But he had a feeling neither of those were correct.
"You okay?" Kairi asked, her smile fading as she tilted her head a little. She kept her eyes down on Sora, moving her hand slightly through his hair again. He didn't look as pale as before, but still...

"Yeah, I'm alright," Sora responded, not nodding because he didn't want to disrupt Kairi's hand running through his hair. He had missed this, and just for now, he wanted to pretend that they really were together again. It would make things so much easier.

"Good." Kairi's smile made a faint return, the girl not seizing her hand movement through Sora's soft spikes. She looked into his eyes for a second before glancing up at Riku. "See? He's just fine. Nothing to worry about."

"For now, anyway," Riku said quietly. He had his eyes on Kairi for the moment, thinking of what could have happened if Kairi weren't around to be with Sora when he was unconscious. Nothing good would have come for it. "From here on out, those sessions aren't going to be near as long."

Sora blinked, turning his head to look at the other person that spoke. Riku...he thought that he was overworked from the session. And maybe he was, but-- "That's not what caused me to faint," he said to his best friend. Something triggered a journey this heart, and he passed out because of that.
Riku looked down at Sora at the same time Kairi did, arching an eyebrow. "Then what did?" he asked softly. So the heat hadn't caused it, right? Or the exhaustion? So then what was it?
