Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Roxas lifted a hand to his face, sighing as he closed his eyes. No...he thought sadly. Namine hated him...didn't she? Either he told her the engagement plans or there weren't going to be any... Was that the ultimatum he was facing now?

"...You gotta talk to her. And hope she's willing to listen," Sora said softly after a few moments. He heard from Kairi that she was ignoring Roxas's calls as of a day or two ago, not that Roxas called too often. This situation would go from bad to worse if Roxas didn't tell her the truth.
"Mm," Roxas hummed softly, lowering his hand to stare at the floor. He was just trying to give Namine something special...and it was backfiring. Badly. Why did everything always go wrong?

Sora nodded faintly, but then left the room to give Roxas some time alone. But he hoped he wouldn't be alone for too long, because he needed to go talk to Namine as soon as he could. She may have been at work right now, though. And then was Riku going to hang out with her this afternoon afterwards? It would be bad if Riku and Roxas ran into each other if Riku didn't know the truth...
Roxas fell back on his bed, hearing the loud sound of his guitar ringing out after he hit his head, and felt the pain. "Ow!" he hissed, lifting a hand to the back of his head and squeezing one eye shut. Just my luck...on top of everything else.

A little later

It was the afternoon, and Namine was working at the daycare without Kairi that day. It was a hectic day and she was worn out, on top of everything else that was going on. She was trying to keep it together after finding out the truth about Roxas. She couldn't believe he was doing this to her. Especially after he was so hard on her about Ben! She didn't want to believe it, but she had to. There were no other explanations.

Riku stood outside the daycare center, waiting for Namine to get off work. He nodded to a parent that walked in to get their child, being polite. But he wasn't going to be nice to a particular blond. He was going to get a piece of Riku if he came near Namine again. Lucky for Riku, of course, he saw Roxas coming toward the daycare now. He was in deep trouble.

"Oh no, no, sweetie," Namine said to a toddler, picking her up and moving her to a chair after seeing she had food all over her face from the recent snack time. The blonde grabbed a wet wipe and gently started washing the girl's face, unaware of what was about to happen outside.

"What're you doing here?" Riku called, seeing Roxas jump slightly at his tone. Good, he was on edge. It would work perfectly for everything Riku had to say to him. "If you're here to see Namine, you can turn around. You're not getting anywhere near her."

Roxas sighed, stopping a few feet away from Riku. "I know what this is about, but it's all a big misunderstanding," he tried, meeting Riku's glare with calmer eyes. "All I need is five minutes. Is Namine busy?"

"Working," Riku said, motioning to the door. "And once she's off, she's with me for the rest of the day. You're not in that equation." And he wouldn't be in any equation as long as Riku had a say in it. He wasn't okay with what Roxas was doing to Namine; she was broken. And that was one thing he never wanted to see.

Namine finished with cleaning up that girl, and then she heard her little baby brother start crying. "Behave," she said sternly to the trouble-maker before hurrying off to the little boy in the bouncy seat. She bent down and picked him up, shushing him and looking towards the window as she gently bounced with him. That was when her eyes widened. She saw Riku outside right by the window...with Roxas.

Roxas lifted a hand and rubbed the back of his head. "It looks bad, I know, but it's not like that," he said, trying to remain calm. But if Riku kept telling him to leave and that he wasn't going to see Namine, Roxas was going to lose it.

"The hell it's not," Riku said, glaring at Roxas. "You lied and you went behind Namine's back. As if that's not suspicious." He gave Roxas a look. He wasn't pleased in the slightest.

"It was for a good reason!" Roxas said in desperation. Why couldn't anyone just understand?!

  • Author
Namine couldn't understand the words that were being spoken outside due to the baby's crying. She still tried to shush him, looking away from the window and letting her back turn towards it. She didn't want to see Roxas right now. He probably wanted to come in and see her, but she couldn't face him right now. She was responsible for these two last kids until their mom came anyway.

"Yeah, sure. Going out to dinner with another girl, buying her flowers, avoiding Namine all day, not calling her back... The list goes on and on, Roxas," Riku said, crossing his arms over his chest. "You're not getting in to see her."

"Like I'm going to listen to you," Roxas said, starting toward the door. Riku got in his path and shoved him back, making him stumble before he could catch his footing. "What's the matter with you?" he hollered, infuriated. Riku had no right to do this!

"With me?" Riku asked, lifting his eyebrows before he then narrowed his eyes. "What's the matter with you? You go off and cheat on her and expect everything to be the way it was before? Do you honestly think she's that clueless, Roxas? You've done enough damage this time, and you're not going to get the chance to hurt her again." He would be in the way, acting as the protective older brother figure that he was.

After hearing the noises outside get louder, the baby in Namine's arms did the same. She couldn't just let this fight keep going on outside! It was upsetting the kids! And her. She shifted the baby onto her hip and started towards the door, cracking it open enough that she could step outside and stand by Riku. "You guys are scaring the kids!" she said, scolding both of them. They were being too loud.
Roxas looked to Namine before his eyes found Riku, who didn't say a word. "Sorry," he said then, using his normal voice. "But...I need to talk to you, Namine. Please." He couldn't let her think this was right; it was wrong. All of it was wrong.

Namine shook her head faintly, standing slightly behind Riku as the baby in her arms quieted. "Not right now." I can't face you right now. I'm busy. And I'm just not ready to. Now I know how you felt when I was with Ben... It hurt, a lot. But this was still betrayal, even if she liked somebody else in the past. That didn't make Roxas's actions right.
Roxas didn't know what to say, his eyes pleading for Namine to listen to him and let him talk. He didn't know when he would see her; he already knew she wouldn't answer his phone calls. This was his only chance.... "Nam, please," he begged, taking a step toward her. He caught Riku stiffen at the movement, but he didn't care.

Namine's eyes softened, the blonde shaking her head again. "No, Roxas," she said softly. She didn't want to face him right now...or ever. She already knew the truth, so there was no point in hearing it from him. She supposed that the only thing she could do now was beat him to the punch...and dump him first.
"But it's not what you think," Roxas said, taking another step forward. He heard Riku grunt, and he pressed his lips together, wisely staying where he was. "Please, just let me explain. It's a misunderstanding...I promise." Roxas would never hurt Namine like this. Never. She was too precious to him...

"Roxas," Namine said sternly, fighting the tears that were coming into her eyes. "I said no. I don't want to hear it." Hearing it would only make things worse. She already heard enough things from all her other friends, who saw Roxas with the other girl all the time. She only caught them once or twice, but that was bad enough. She saw the truth, whether she wanted to or not.
Roxas's eyes softened in sadness and hurt at the words. "...You won't even give me a chance?" he asked weakly. He couldn't talk to her himself? He knew what everyone else was telling her...but it was a lie. No, it was a misunderstanding on their parts, and his. He carried everything out wrong...

"...Why should I do that when I already know the truth?" Namine asked weakly in response. "I'm sorry, but I can't...I can't...see you, Roxas." She took a small step back to go inside, needing to leave this conversation. She couldn't give Roxas a chance to say everything; it would hurt too badly. She couldn't hear it.
"Namine, wait a second!" Roxas said, stepping forward but seeing Riku step toward him as well. His eyebrows furrowed slightly before he looked over at the person he loved. The only person he loved. "It's a lie! It's not true, I swear! Just listen to me..." She had to hear him out. He would explain everything.

The baby boy in Namine's arms started crying again at Roxas's loud voice, and that was another good reason for her to leave. "I have to go..." she said, looking at Roxas through moist eyes as she stepped back inside and shut the door with her free hand. It's over.
Roxas took a step forward again. Namine... She was throwing everything away without even giving him a chance... Riku turned Roxas around and pushed him forward, causing the boy to stumble before glaring back at Riku. The look on his--former--friend's face was easy to read: Get out. Roxas ground his teeth together and turned around, knowing that it was no use. He tried, but he failed. Namine didn't even have to say it for him to know. It was over...They were over.
