A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Namine stepped inside and leaned against a wall, turning her face into the baby's as she squeezed her eyes shut. She couldn't believe that just happened. She wasn't wrong for not listening to Roxas, right? His actions already said enough. He was ignoring her, spending time with another girl...She saw him with her. She couldn't deny that he wasn't going to protect her anymore. She had to protect herself.

Riku watched Roxas walk off in silence. What just happened... Riku almost believed that Roxas was sincere, and telling the truth. But it was his word against everyone else's, and Riku didn't believe it. He was a two-timer, and a liar. A bad one. Everyone saw right through him, and now he was paying the price for being so reckless with Namine's feelings.

The next day

 

It was over twenty-four hours since what happened at the daycare, and Namine hadn't seen Roxas since. Her friends were keeping her from hiding in her apartment by spending time with her whenever they could. Right now, since it was nighttime, all of them were free. So she, Sora, Kairi, and Riku all sat on the beach together, hanging out like friends usually did. It was nice, just being with them.

Roxas tilted his head back, chugging the can in his hand. It was nearly gone, and he would finish it off within minutes. The taste was bitter at first, but now he couldn't care any less. It made him forget all of the pain; it numbed everything he felt for the past day. All of the sorrow was masked by the bubbly feeling he had going through him. And he couldn't stop. It was just too bad Sora's dad didn't have any more beer.

Namine rolled her eyes at a joke Sora made, a faint smile tugging at her lips. He was always good at brightening things, even when everything seemed so dark. Thankfully nobody brought up Roxas, or else he would have acted weird. He knew the truth, but he couldn't be the one to break the news to Namine. He just told her things would be okay between her and Roxas someday. That was all he could say to his hurting friend until Roxas told her what was going on.

Roxas lowered the nearly-empty can away from his face, walking onto the beach. Everything was blurry and fuzzy, but it was familiar; it was enough. He saw four figures in the sand a few yards away and he smiled. "Hey guys!" he called, lifting a hand in a wave as he smiled cheekily. They were here!

 

Kairi turned around at the greeting, her wide eyes finding Roxas before they narrowed. What is he doing here? she thought angrily, but then she noticed how...happy he was. That wasn't normal. "What's...?"

 

Riku stared at Roxas with suspicious eyes, seeing him stumble slightly. What was wrong with him? It didn't really matter, because he wasn't coming over here. Riku pushed himself to his feet, prepared to give Roxas a taste of the same medicine he got the day before.

Sora stood up immediately when Riku did, seeing the way his friend glared at his brother. "Easy Riku..." he said softly. He couldn't beat Roxas to a pulp. Yeah, he was angry and defensive of Namine, but deep down, Riku was probably concerned over Roxas too. They were friends, even if neither of them would admit it right now.

Roxas lowered his arm and instead lifted his drink to his mouth, tilting his head back as he continued to walk and drinking the last of it. He stumbled slightly before he lowered the can, crushing it in one hand and tossing it carelessly aside. Everything was so blurry that he couldn't exactly see the looks he was getting.

 

"...Is he drinking?" Riku asked, his eyes back on Roxas after he looked at Sora. He was stumbling, smiling for no good reason, and he was chugging a can of something. Riku's guess was that it was alcohol.

Namine blinked at Riku's words, and she stood up and also stared at Roxas. He was stumbling, he just had a can in his hand...It wasn't a good sign. But... "He wouldn't..." she said weakly, shaking her head. Roxas wouldn't drink. Not only was he underage, but it wasn't his personality to drink. Where would he have gotten alcohol anyway?

"Hey lads and laddies," Roxas said, smiling from ear to ear as he approached his friends. "May I have...un momento?" He chuckled at his own joke, catching Kairi's worried expression but not really caring. He swayed on his feet, but he caught himself again. It didn't matter, really, since the sand was so soft. He would have a safe fall.

Sora took a small step forward, his worried blue eyes on his ecstatic best friend. "Roxas...what're you doing?" he asked, shaking his head a little. Now that he was closer, he could even smell all the beer that his friend chugged. Riku was right; he was drunk...How could you drink?

Roxas blinked, but ignored the question. Sora was close enough that he stepped forward, putting an arm around his best friend's shoulders. "Sora! Big bro...Somebody of mine," he said cheekily. "You know something? You are the best ever. I have a life because of you, even though I thought you took it from me. Weird how that works!" He chuckled but then poked Sora in the forehead. "Best friends forever!"

Sora's eyebrows furrowed, both because of Roxas's behavior and because of how he smelled. "Roxas, you reek," he said, lifting a hand, and waving it to clear the air a little bit. Sheesh. How much did you put down? This is really bad... And where could he have gotten it from? Not a store; he was underage. His parents would kill him when they found out how wasted he was.

"Well, thank you," Roxas said, keeping his arm around his best friend. "Is it beer? It tastes quite good, you know. I'm all out, but I would totally give you some if I could!"

 

"Roxas?" Kairi called softly, but when he only started poking Sora in the cheek, she got firm. "Roxas." He finally looked over and she bit her lip. "...How much did you have to drink?" And where did he even get it?

 

Roxas took his arm back from Sora's shoulders, holding up his hands as he tried to count. He held up eight fingers. "Nine," he said with a smile. "Three were already gone, but that was okay!" He swayed on his feet as he grinned. Oh well.

"Nine?!" Sora said in disbelief, taking a small step back so he could look at his friend. "Are you insane, Roxas!? Why would you even..." He shook his head, silently scolding his friend as he stared at him with serious eyes. Why would he even drink? He had to have better coping methods than this.

"It's a funny story, So-Sora," Roxas said, putting his hands behind his head as he continued to smile. "Someone hurt my feelings, and I thought, 'Hey, here's some free booze!' And here I am!" He heard Riku grunt with disgust, but he didn't pay attention. It wasn't like he could really focus anyway.

Namine took a small step forward, worried and sad over the young man that she still loved. "Roxas..." That was all that she could think to say, her voice weak. You're really that upset that you'd drink? This isn't you... He told her before that he hated alcohol because of what it could do to a person, and now here he was, drunk. It wasn't right.

Roxas turned his head, seeing the girl that was talking to him. "Hey!" he said, stepping over toward her and setting a hand on her blonde head. "Here she is!" He pointed at her with his other hand, looking to his friends. "How weird!"

"The only thing that's weird here is how you're acting," Sora said more sternly, shaking his head at how Roxas was up in Namine's personal space. "You need to back off, man..." He would regret this tomorrow. He probably would only get sick because this was his first time drinking, so a hangover wouldn't be a problem. But the consequences of his actions would remain, especially if he kept being stupid.

Roxas held his hands up as if in surrender. "Backing off," he said, trying to keep a straight face as he took a few steps back, but it didn't work. He ended up laughing, bending over slightly before looking to his friends. "Be-sides, last time I backed off, everyone was mad at me. And for what? I did nothing wrong. Nothing, nothing, nothing."

 

Kairi looked at Roxas in disappointment and disbelief combined, shaking her head slightly. What happened to him? Why was he acting like this? Was he really that hurt by Namine ending things that he would act like this? It was his fault!

"Roxas...I think it's time we went home," Sora said, eyebrows furrowed in seriousness as he started towards his best friend. It didn't matter what happened with his parents; Roxas just needed to stop making a fool of himself in front of everyone. Surely everyone was as disappointed in Roxas as he was. Drinking never solved anything...

"What? No way!" Roxas said, shaking his head before side-stepping Sora, putting more space between them. "I've been locked up in the house all day, drinking your dad's beer and being sad. No more!"

 

Riku's eyes widened. "You took alcohol from his dad's liquor cabinet?" he asked, outraged. That was so stupid of him! Sora's dad was going to notice!

Sora stopped and lifted a hand to his forehead, shaking his head in disbelief. He is so going to kill you... he thought, staring down at the ground. This was an absolutely terrible situation. How could Roxas think this was a good idea, even for a second?

Roxas smiled, happy with himself in his stupor. "Good idea, huh? The beer worked good! I feel great!" He grinned at his friends, though the next comment made him frown.

 

"Regardless of how you feel, you're acting like an idiot," Riku said lowly. "You look like one too." He was stumbling around, he smelled, and he was saying stupid things. How was that even the least bit satisfying?

 

"That's not very nice," Roxas said, glaring at Riku. "If anyone is an idiot, it's you. You kept me from the person I love when I was just trying to...when I was just trying to tell the truth!" That was unfair!

Namine bit down on her lip when Roxas called her the one he loved. If he loved her, then why did he cheat? She hadn't wanted to believe it, but she had to because of all the evidence. But just because he cheated didn't mean that she didn't love him. She loved and was worried about him now, especially since he was acting so weird.
