Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Did you just listen to a word I said?" Namine asked, taking a small step forward in frustration. She was trying to get through to him here! Even if he didn't deserve it. Even if he was a complete jerk to her by cheating...she couldn't stop taking care of him. And to do that, she had to make him take care of himself. She wasn't his girlfriend anymore; she couldn't do it like she used to.
"Fine, I'm not a stupid drunk," Roxas said, glancing up at Namine before looking away. "I get it. But I am an idiot, and for that, I'll be going." He turned, stepping past Namine to reach the front door. He would just...go for a walk or something.

Namine couldn't disagree with that part, but she did reach out a hand and grab Roxas's arm to stop him. She couldn't let him just leave right now; there were still some things they had to take care of. She had to be sure that he was going to go home instead of do something stupid, and she had to let him know that she would keep her word and listen to him.
Roxas was forced to stop walking when Namine gripped his arm. He turned around a little, looking down at her hand on his arm before his eyes found hers. "What?" he asked in confusion. He was leaving. Wasn't that what she wanted?

Namine glanced at the ground before she looked up to Roxas's eyes, worry evident in her own. "You'll go straight home, right?" she asked quietly, also requesting it by how she phrased it. She knew that Roxas was sober, but she also knew that he was upset. She couldn't stand it if he walked out of here and did something stupid when she could have stopped it.
Roxas's eyebrows furrowed slightly. "I might take a little detour," he told Namine softly. If he went straight home, he probably wouldn't leave for a month. That is, if Sora's dad found out about last night.

Namine shook her head a little, loosening her grip on Roxas's arm a little as she looked up at his eyes. "I want you to go home right away," she said softly. "Please?" That was all that she wanted right now. She wanted to know that Sora could take over from here and help Roxas out. She needed Roxas to know she wasn't kicking him to the curb.
Roxas gazed at Namine for a minute, his eyebrows furrowing slightly when he saw the look in her pretty eyes. Was that genuine worry he saw? "...Yeah," he said softly, nodding ever so slightly. He would go home, and he wouldn't leave for a while. He didn't exactly want to see his friends after last night.

Namine nodded faintly in thanks, though her gaze then went to Roxas's shoulder. "There's something else, too," she said softly. It wasn't a favor she was going to ask of him; it was the promise she made. She promised to listen to him. She had a feeling that he didn't want to talk right now, but maybe another time. She would uphold her end of the bargain.
"What?" Roxas asked naturally. He tried to shake the feeling Namine's hand against his skin gave him, wanting to pay attention. He at least owed her that much.

"Last night when you were drunk, I made you a promise," Namine said quietly, lifting her gaze to Roxas's face. "I said that as long as you behaved for the night, I'd listen to what you have to say when you were sober. And I'm going to keep that promise, even if you don't remember it right now." It was the right thing to do, even if nobody would hold her accountable for that one.
Roxas became even more confused. "Why would you do that?" he asked. He nearly killed her last night, and made her think that he cheated on her. It was a misunderstanding, the last one, but he was still at fault for a lot of things. One he didn't even remember that was super sensitive to both of them.

"Because I don't hate you, even if I should," Namine said, slowly taking her hand off Roxas's arm as she looked down at the ground. "And I love you, even if I shouldn't." She had said something similar last night, but obviously he didn't remember it. He was too drunk to recall much of anything.
Roxas's hand curled into a loose fist at the words, all of them. What Namine didn't realize was that she didn't have a reason to hate him, nor did she have a reason to not love him. But...he would accept what she said. "Right," he said with a small nod. He looked at her for another moment before turning away, heading toward the door. This would be the last time he saw her for a while, at least in his mind.

Namine clasped her hands in front of her, standing still and watching Roxas go. She figured she wouldn't see him again anytime soon, unless he called her to talk. Until that time came, she wouldn't initiate contact. They weren't a couple after all. She was the one who ended it. She couldn't cling to him.
Roxas set his hand on the doorknob, but he stopped there. There was one more thing he had to say. "...I won't bug you anymore," he said softly. "Even if you promised you'd listen, I know you don't want to. I won't call, I won't ask for you... I'll leave you alone." He closed his eyes, fighting the emotions as he kept his back to Namine. "That's what I promise." She felt obligated, and he didn't want her to. She needed to want to come to him and know the truth.

Namine's lips parted a little at Roxas's promise, the teen also lifting her hand to her mouth to hide her quivering lip. That meant that she would need to come to him. Did she really want that responsibility? That choice? It didn't really matter what she wanted, because that was what Roxas gave to her.
Roxas heard nothing but silence, and he knew that was his cue. He released a small breath, opening his eyes as he opened the door. He stepped out without another word, closing the door softly behind him before starting down the hall. That was it. He and Namine were really done...

Two days later

Namine was distracting herself in the kitchen, just getting her last batch of cookies out of the oven and setting them on the counter. She hadn't left the house much the past few days, despite how much her friends tried dragging her out. She appreciated what they were trying to do, and how Kairi and Riku both offered to give Roxas a piece of their mind for her, but she told them not to. This was her battle to fight, but...the fight was over. She and Roxas were done.

Roxas walked down the hallway, stopping in front of the door to Namine's apartment. The last few days his memory had been coming back to him, and every memory was worse and worse. But...nothing was as bad as what Roxas did with his weapon, and what he almost did in the bedroom. That one made him stare at the door with shameful eyes, his heart racing. He couldn't believe he did that. He loved Namine, and he wanted her to be his first, but not before marriage. And he tried that, breaking the oath they both made a while ago. I'm such an idiot...

Namine started taking the cookies off the tray as soon as they were cool enough, laying them out with the other cookies on the table. As soon as those cooled off, she'd put them in a container. And she probably would hide them, just in case Sora came by to steal them. Or Riku. He probably wouldn't admit it, but he had a soft spot for cookies too. But not as much as Roxas did.
Roxas lifted his hand, hesitating but then knocking a few times on the door. He had to tell Namine he was sorry, even if it didn't make what he did right. He was so stupid for what he did. He was sure Namine knew that, but he needed to at least apologize.

Namine blinked at the knocking, and her first guess was that it was Sora. No time to hide the cookies now. She sighed and started towards the door, wearing a pair of black sweats and a light purple shirt. When she stopped in front of the door and pulled it open, her eyes widened a little in surprise as to who was there. "Roxas," she said in surprise. I thought...you said you weren't going to approach me.
"I..." Roxas started, stunned into silence at the sight of Namine. He missed her greatly, and loved her the same, but she hated him. Now he truly knew why. "I need to talk to you." She didn't have to say anything; he would do all the talking.
  • Author
"Uh...okay...um..." Namine felt like an idiot for hesitating so much, but what else was she supposed to do? She didn't know what to say. Or do. Let him inside, dummy. She stepped aside and motioned for him to come inside, hoping that he wouldn't mind some of Kairi's wedding plans sprawled across the coffee table. She doubted he would; he wasn't extremely neat.
