Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Roxas nodded slightly to Namine as he glanced at her, passing her before looking toward the living room. He started toward the couch, his eyes briefly darting over the catalogs spread over the coffee table. He wondered if he would still be in that wedding, since Kairi hated him so much and Sora was disappointed in him. He didn't doubt that he wouldn't be the best man. He was too stupid.

Namine bit her tongue to keep herself from asking Roxas if he wanted cookies. It was a dumb question, and she knew the answer would be "no". He came here to talk, after all, not eat her food. She wordlessly approached the couch and sat down after closing the door, wondering what this was about. Something must have changed, if Roxas was here with her now.
Roxas didn't sit down, running his hands through his already messy hair as he started to slowly pace. "...Don't say anything," he requested softly, turning and looking at Namine before quickly glancing away. "Just...let me get this out." He had a lot to say, and little time to do it. If Kairi came home from work and saw him here, he was dead. Riku too.

"Um...okay..." Namine said quietly, though she was confused. What was Roxas so worked up about now? Obviously it was something concerning the two of them, but she didn't know what it could be, since he didn't remember many details from when he was drunk. Sora couldn't have told him about what happened in the bedroom; he didn't know. Nobody did.
"I'm not gonna tell you how stupid I was, because you already know that. Everyone knows that," Roxas said, pacing slightly as he talked. He couldn't sit, not right now. "I'm just gonna say I'm sorry. For everything, especially what I nearly did to you...and what I almost did with you the other night." He felt his cheeks turn hot, so he turned and started pacing the other direction. He almost...did that with her, but she was smart enough to refuse. It hurt him at the time, but now he understood how wise she was. Namine had always been smart; one night wasn't going to change that.

Namine blinked at what Roxas said, realizing quite quickly that he remembered the bedroom. Her cheeks quickly turned bright red as she looked down at the carpet, glad Roxas told her not to say anything. She didn't know what to say on this topic. It hurt, because to her, it was like a part of Roxas did want to break their oath. But they both agreed it was best to wait.
"I know we agreed to wait a long time ago, and the only explanation I can come up with for doing that is that I was desperate," Roxas said, running his hand over his face before sighing. "I wasn't myself, but I really wanted you to take me back anyway. I should have known better." He was an idiot.

Namine's blush lightened a little as her thoughts distracted her. Right. You should have known better, she silently agreed. He was an idiot for thinking up something like that to try and win her back. But she already knew that he wasn't himself then, and that was clear to her. He never would have spoken to her like that if he was sober.
"I was drunk, and I drank because I was sad," Roxas said softly, stopping where he was and grabbing his hair with one hand. He closed his eyes, fighting the urge to throw his head against the nearest wall. "I shouldn't have done what I did, any of it. Drinking, going behind your back, breaking your trust... I'm sorry, Namine." He opened his eyes to stare sadly down at the floor. He was a wreck, and he understood if she wanted nothing to do with him. He wouldn't want anything to do with him either.

Breaking my trust? Don't you mean cheating? Namine thought, looking up from the ground to look at Roxas. But seeing his position, she was beginning to doubt that he was actually sorry for cheating. Because he wasn't acting like he did. "Roxas..." she said quietly. What were you really doing behind my back?
Roxas lowered his hand from his head at Namine's tone, already of aware of what she was going to say. "I know," he sighed, looking out of the corner of his eye in her direction. "You want me to go." He would show himself to the door.
  • Author
"No," Namine said quietly, glancing back down at Kairi's things on the coffee table. "...I want the truth, Roxas. I want to hear what you were going to tell me the other day." Even if he said he cheated and it broke her heart...she had to know for sure what happened to split her and Roxas apart. She had to.
Roxas stiffened at the words, turning around a little to look at Namine in surprise. "...You do?" he asked softly in confusion. For so long she had believed what everyone else said, but now she wanted to know? What changed her mind?
  • Author
"Yeah," Namine said quietly, keeping her eyes down. She wanted to hear it...She had to hear it. Despite all the evidence, she wasn't entirely convinced that Roxas was cheating on her. She started having doubts ever since he showed up at the beach drunk because he was sad. That sadness was caused by her, right? Not the other girl?
Roxas looked away, at the lamp sitting on the endtable. "...I wasn't...cheating on you," he started gently. "I was planning a surprise for you." Was he really going to tell her about the meadow? He couldn't....could he?
  • Author
Namine blinked, lifting her head a little and looking out in front of her. "What?" she asked softly, though she wasn't really asking a question. Roxas was...planning a surprise? For her? How was that even possible? He was spending all that time with the other girl, and avoiding her...How could that be true?
"The flowers...those were for you," Roxas continued, his eyes finding Namine. "The girl that gave them to me is Kenzie. She's been helping me. And dinner, that was the only time I could talk to her about the...garden I was planning to make for you." A garden was the only thing similar to the meadow that wouldn't really give it away. It was the best he could come up with. "Nothing's going on between us. We're just friends."

Namine's eyes softened because of sorrow. That all fit together...perfectly. She exhaled a breath and leaned forward on the couch, an elbow on her knee as she lowered her face into her hand. "...I believe you," she said quietly, starting to get choked up already. That means that I'm the one who ruined things between us, by jumping to conclusions. This is my fault...
Roxas didn't know what to say to that, so he remained silent. His eyes softened at the way Namine held herself, but he did trust what she said. She believed him... That was such a relief.
  • Author
Namine swallowed, covering her eyes with her hand. "I...I'm so sorry..." she said weakly, moisture already escaping her eyes on cue. She should have trusted him more. She should have gone to him if she was that suspicious of him. But...she had been scared. Everyone and everything she knew had her convinced that he was cheating...
Roxas didn't move, frozen when he thought he saw a tear fall from Namine's cheek. "...I wasn't exactly careful," he said softly. He didn't blame her for thinking he was cheating. He wasn't discreet.
  • Author
Namine shook her head faintly in disagreement, her blonde hair swaying a little. "You didn't have a reason to be. You weren't doing anything wrong..." It just looked so terrible. Spending all that time with Kenzie, ignoring her, and taking Kenzie out to dinner...She saw just about everything that could make her think Roxas was cheating.
Roxas turned a little more toward Namine, his eyes softening at the thickness of her voice. She really was crying. "...I should have told Sora at least," he said softly. "Keeping it a secret from everyone was a mistake. If I didn't, this could have been avoided." Namine wouldn't have broken up with him...

"Is it too late to set things right?" Namine asked quietly, keeping her hand over her eyes. She hoped not...How could she stay separated from Roxas after he didn't even cheat on her? He did drink, and that was terrible, but he learned his lesson. It was okay for her to take him back, right? The real question was...would he take her back, after what she thought he did?
"...With you and me?" Roxas asked, making sure he was understanding things correctly. He didn't want to assume the wrong thing. That would only make this situation worse.
