Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Kairi sat on the Paopu tree beside Sora, her hands supporting her on either side as she stared down at her feet, swinging them without thought. The last few days had been stressful, not just because they couldn't find any answers, but because of her thoughts. She would always be tossing and turning at night because of them, and she knew why.

Riku had his arms crossed, leaning his back against the tree as he always did. All he could hear was the sound of the water nearby, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing. He was trying to think things through anyway.

By this point, Sora had accepted that the tear in his heart wasn't caused by the loss of the Keyblade. Maybe before it had been more wounded because of the separation, but he felt like he healed that wound when he made up with his friends. So why was his heart still fractured? Why hadn't it healed along with the rest of his heart?

Kairi had to speak of it; she'd been hiding it inside too long. The conversation could take an awkward turn, but it had to be done. "...Sora, Riku," she said softly, keeping her eyes downward.

Riku turned his head, looking over his shoulder slightly at the redhead. She sounded like she had something to say, and by her facial expression, she knew she did too.

Sora blinked at the voice, automatically sitting up and looking at Kairi in front of him. He knew that tone of voice...She had something to say. Had she come up with a solution?

Kairi could feel her friends' eyes on her, and she lowered her head a bit more, allowing her hair to shield her face from view a little more. "Um," she started quietly, "I have a confession to make."

Riku glanced at Sora briefly at that, but his gaze immediately returned to Kairi. What was up?

  • Author
Sora felt concerned at that, but he kept his eyes on Kairi and waited for her to make her confession. Whatever it was, it didn't seem like it was too good. What was going on?

"I...know what's wrong," Kairi admitted quietly, referring to what was effecting the restoration of Sora's heart. "I've known for a while now." She bit her lip once she was done speaking, hesitating to go on.

Riku uncrossed his arms, turning more to face Kairi. "Why didn't you say anything before?" he asked softly. He couldn't really see Kairi's face all that well due to her red hair, but he wasn't exactly mad. He was just curious.

Sora blinked, surprised. Kairi knew? And she had known for a while? He agreed with Riku's question, and if his friend hadn't asked, then he would have. Why hadn't Kairi spoken up and let them stress over it the past few days?
Kairi shook her head. "I don't know..." she said quietly. I was scared to, she thought to herself. It was about her relationship with Sora. Of course she was scared to admit that was the problem, even if it were true.

"...What is it?" Sora asked softly, keeping his eyes on Kairi even though her hair was in the way. What was it that she was keeping from them for the past few days?
Kairi closed her eyes, taking in a breath as she hesitated. She then sucked it up, revealing the true reason as to why Sora's heart wasn't mending. "It's us," she said quietly, not opening her eyes.
  • Author
Us? Sora thought, confused. Was she referring to the three of them? Because he had thought that things were fine with their friendships. But he suddenly got the feeling that she was referring to that thing he never thought about.

Riku saw Sora's expression, and he arched an eyebrow. His eyes found Kairi again. "What do you mean?" he asked, wanting her to be more specific. Who was "us"?

Kairi opened her eyes, turning her head a little more to look at Riku. "...Me and Sora," she confessed softly. That was what she meant, who she meant.

  • Author
Sora shut his eyes, Kairi's words affirming what he had just started thinking about. Their relationship wasn't the same as it was when he held the Keyblade. They were friends with each other now, but they used to be so much more. They used to be best friends.
Riku blinked. Oh... So that was what Kairi meant. Well, he knew that was a small issue. But obviously, it was much bigger than he originally thought.
  • Author
"How are we supposed to fix that?" Sora asked softly, opening his eyes and looking down at the tree. He thought things were as good as they could be with him and Kairi, considering everything that happened lately.
Kairi didn't say anything, looking away from Riku and not even daring to look at Sora now. She instead looked down at her feet. The only way she could think of was to go back to the way they once were, with each other. But how could they? After what happened?
  • Author
Sora wanted to be with Kairi. There was no doubt in his mind that he was supposed to spend his entire life with her. But she didn't seem to want it, so that was why he wasn't initiating anything with her. Or...did she need a little bit of pressure? Was he supposed to try to start their relationship again after Kairi broke it?
"...I'm sorry," the girl apologized, unable to help herself. Kairi had never directly told Sora that, referring to this specific situation. After so long, she needed to. She just didn't like that it had to come out this way...
  • Author
Sora looked up at Kairi when he heard her apology, and he was confused. He hummed slightly in question, hoping that it would encourage Kairi to continue speaking.
"I..." Kairi started, but then she stopped herself, closing her eyes. She couldn't get emotional now...not when she was actually doing this. Sora needed an explanation from her, and she needed to give it.
  • Author
Sora felt his blue eyes widen slightly when he saw Kairi get emotional, and he instinctively wanted to set a hand on her knee. But fortunately for him, he was too far away and had to give it a second thought. He shouldn't have done that; they weren't in a relationship.
Kairi took in a breath to calm herself, but she didn't open her eyes in fear of tears appearing. "...I was scared, Sora," she admitted weakly. "I didn't know what to do..."
  • Author
Sora looked down at the tree, his hands set on the trunk in front of him. "I know," he said softly. Looking back, Sora knew that Kairi took the action she did because she had been so scared by her nightmares. But it still hurt that she hadn't talked to him, or tried to make things right.
"I messed everything up," Kairi said, her voice hushed. And she had. She took away Sora's power, and she pushed away his care and love. It was awful, and they were both a mess because of it.
