Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning lowered her arms a little, knowing no more attacks were coming at her. "I'm fine," she said through her teeth, though she went down to one knee. She took at least four fireballs just now, and that attack wasn't anything to joke about. She was glad her shields managed to block them up until now, but they shouldn't have collapsed at all. Stupid shields... Building them up would be harder than she thought.
Riku grunted in shock when he saw Light fall to one knee, and he didn't waste time moving his feet in a run. He covered the ground that separated them quickly, slowing until he knelt down in front of her. He immediately looked over her. "You're not fine," he told her gently but sternly. She was hurt.

Lightning shook her head, slowly lowering her arms. She set her sword in the ground, glancing over at one of her arms. She could see on her bare arm that it was all red from the attack, and she was sure the one that was covered with a sleeve was also bad. She could feel the tingling, burning sensation from the attack, nothing else. "I've suffered worse," she said instead. It hurt a lot, but she was fine.
Riku looked from Lightning's arms to her face, not saying anything. He wasn't comfortable with this from the start, and this was why. He never wanted to hurt her...even on accident. "Why didn't you tell me to stop?" he asked then. If she was feeling the shield give out, why didn't she tell him?

Lightning shrugged faintly. "I need to make them stronger somehow." Testing them until they broke...If that was how it had to work, then okay. She could cope with some pain to reach her ultimate goal, even if she wished there was another way. She would do whatever she had to in order to create strong shields and other spells again.
"Hurting yourself won't do any good," Riku scolded softly. He hated to see Lightning in bad shape, especially because of him. This wasn't exactly okay, at least in his eyes.

"No, but testing my limits will," Light stated in response, glancing down to the side and seeing her hand dangling by the hilt of her sword. She reached down a little, grunting when her fingers wrapped around her weapon. At least she could still heal herself; she wouldn't ever willingly give away that power, ever. She didn't know how people could survive without that ability.
Riku sighed, resting his arm on his knee as he looked out at the water. There was no doubt in his mind that it was cold because of the drop in temperature, and he doubted he could change Light's mind either. She was too stubborn sometimes.

Lightning changed Paradigms, casting a Cure spell or two over herself and making the pain go away. She exhaled a soft breath and looked up, seeing Riku's expression even if he wasn't looking at her. "Once upon a time, you were like this too," she stated. "So you can't talk." In the future, he forced her to test him like this, with his shields.
Riku closed his eyes briefly, exhaling a soft breath. "...Right," he said, acknowleding the truth behind her words. Regardless, he pushed himself up, turning and starting back to where he had been before. "Go again?" He knew she wouldn't want to stop; Lightning was at least predictable in that aspect.

"Yeah, okay," Lightning said, pushing herself up to her feet and keeping a grip on her sword as she shifted Paradigms again. She hoped her shield wouldn't collapse this time, but it was a possibility. If it kept happening, she wouldn't bother curing herself. If she was that weak, then she deserved the pain.
Riku fought the urge to speak his mind, but Lightning already knew how he felt, and that was uncomfortable. Of course he was supportive of her and wanted to help her get stronger, but...this wasn't what he had in mind. Regardless, he turned around, facing Lightning and staring at her for a minute. A few seconds later, he started summoning another round of blue energy. If this was what she wanted, he would give it to her.

The cycle continued for a while, Riku summoning his magic and sending attacks at her and Light blocking most of the time. Her shields collapsed a few times though, which irritated her. It happened again now, and she lifted her already burning arms to take the attack. For the first time since she initially fell to her knee, she fell down again, to two knees this time. ...Okay. That's probably enough. This burns really badly...
Riku lowered his arms, watching Lightning fall. He didn't move, though; she told him that he needed to stop running over to check on her the last few times. He stayed where he was. "....You okay?" he called over the rougher waves. It was slightly windy as well, the young man feeling his hair hit the side of his face.

Lightning gritted her teeth, nodding in silence. She dropped her sword in the sand, a ragged breath leaving her as her head lowered. Use a cure spell, idiot. She should have been curing herself between hits, but that wasn't practical. It would have saved her from a lot of pain right now, though. She was close to her snapping point, so it was time that they stopped. She pushed herself enough for one day, if not too much.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed, his eyes darting from the gunblade to the woman he loved. "...I think that's enough for today," he said, starting toward her. He didn't care what she said earlier about him keeping his distance because she was "alright". He didn't like to see her so hurt. It nearly made him sick.

Light grunted and nodded, not disagreeing. She was planning on being done anyway; she was getting worse off each time they tried this. She needed to figure out what her problem was and fix it, without Riku's help. She could tell that he really wasn't enjoying this, not that he was supposed to. This was serious.
Riku summoned his Keyblade to his hand as he approached Lightning, lightly flicking it as he cast a Cure spell on his beloved. He hoped she knew her limits now, because this wasn't the best sight.

Light felt the spell wash over her, the tingling starting to leave her arms. The burning also started to fade, much to her relief. She lifted her head and looked up at Riku, shoulders slumping as her hands found her thighs. She told him earlier not to come over every time she was hurt, but she couldn't scold him for being concerned.
Riku kept his hold on his Keyblade, knowing that they would need it to get back to the mainland. His eyes rested on Lightning's, his hard eyes softening at the look in her pale blue irises. She wasn't pleased with herself, or she wasn't pleased with him coming over. Either way, it was best they stopped this training session.

Lightning sighed at Riku's expression, looking over at the ocean and feeling the cold air impact her. She wasn't upset with him; she was upset with herself. She should have been stronger than this, but she wasn't, not yet. It was easier for her to strengthen other abilities, at least in her opinion. She'd have to work really hard to regain this, before any danger arrived.
Riku stopped in front of Lightning, his eyes narrowing slightly because of the wind forcing some of his hair into his face. He offered his free hand out to the person he loved, deciding it was best that he took her back to the condo she now claimed as her own.

Light looked back to Riku, eyes going to his hand before they went up to his eyes. "Heading back already?" she asked quietly. They hadn't been out for more than an hour. And despite the cold and wind that was blowing her hair in her eyes, she had to admit that she missed the beach. A lot.
Riku's hand curled slightly before he let it come back to his side. "You want to stay out?" he asked softly. He knew they were done training; that was a no-brainer. But he could only hope the weather didn't turn ugly. It was windy enough as it was.

"Do you?" Light responded softly, hands curling a little on her thighs. She knew that she would get cold pretty quickly, considering that she was wearing her usual outfit and it was December. But she didn't really have anything else, and she didn't ask Riku to shop for her again. That wasn't his responsibility.
