Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku gave Lightning a look. "No one's too old to play in the snow," he pointed out. Everyone in their group of friends played last year, after all. Terra, the oldest of the bunch before Lightning came around, fought Aqua in the snow plenty of times last year.

Lightning hmphed, lowering her head and looking towards the window. "Try telling that to an eighty year old," she joked. That person would be way too old to play in the snow. She could guess by Riku's tone, though, that he played in the snow whenever it came around. For some reason, that surprised her a little bit.
Riku rolled his eyes. "Now you're thinking too much," he said, looking to the window. A person that was eighty probably wasn't even safe out in the cold, since they were so vulnerable to the illnesses and such. But that was besides the point. He was trying to say that Lightning could play in the snow if she wanted.

"Nope, just pushing your buttons," Lightning responded with a smirk. She reached across her own body and lightly poked Riku's side, remembering that he was ticklish. But she wouldn't start a tickle fight now; they were comfortable and cozy, and she wasn't going to change that.
Riku jumped slightly, his arm loosening around Lightning's shoulders. "Hey," he said in a slightly startled and yet warning tone. Tickling wasn't part of the plan here, and he hoped it wouldn't be for a while. He liked this...without the tickling.

"Hey," Light responded with a smirk, saying "hey" more like a greeting than anything else. "What's up?" She wrapped her arm over Riku's stomach, snuggling closer to him without waiting for a response. She was being a little goofy, but she wasn't feeling goofy enough to start a tickle fight. She just wanted to be close to Riku.
Riku lifted an eyebrow, though he fought the urge to chuckle. "I could ask you the same thing," he told Light softly, wrapping his arm around her once more, more secure this time since she was closer. He didn't mind the closeness, though. That was nice, even if her behavior was throwing him off a little.

Lightning shrugged faintly under Riku's arm, careful not to shake him off. "Nothing." Nothing was up, nor did she think that she was acting strange. She did like being closer to Riku, especially since the two of them were in the same boat when it came to affection and closeness. They were both too strong to be too soft in front of others until they met each other. So of course they were going to be appreciate the chance to be soft with each other while still being true to who they were deep down inside.
Riku smiled ever so slightly, humming as he looked down at Lightning. She was definitely different than other people he knew, which was a good thing. The person he loved was supposed to be different, and destiny brought him and Light together. He was grateful for that.

Light allowed her eyes to shut after a few seconds, not finding the need to break the small silence that fell between her and Riku. Even if they were both the quiet ones with their friends, they always had plenty to talk about with each other. She thought it a million times, but it still rang true: they brought out the best in each other.
Riku lowered his head, lightly kissing Lightning's pink hair and closing his eyes. After a minute he pulled back, running his hand over her arm a little bit in the silence. He never expected to be this way with her, even if he knew she was different from the beginning. But...would she make a lifetime commitment with him?

"Glad I stayed?" Light asked randomly after a minute or two. She was just thinking that if she left with her family, she would have missed out on being with Riku like this. The two of them spent enough time apart in their relationship; now it was time for them to be together and hang out whenever they wanted. Hang out? Geez, when did I start doing something a normal twenty-two year old would? It felt strange, not being a soldier twenty-four seven anymore. But she liked it for the most part.
Riku nodded slightly. "Yeah," he answered softly. He was more than glad; he was ecstatic. The person he loved was with him now...and she did it willingly. He hoped she didn't do it just for him, because then he would feel guilty. He hoped Light did this for her.

Lightning hummed softly, her lips turning up in a faint smile because of how quickly Riku responded. And how he didn't make fun of her for asking such a random question. She was glad that she stayed too; this was where she belonged. Her family was in another world, but they were with her in her heart. That was good enough for her as long as they were alive and happy.
Riku kept his eyes on Lightning for a moment, before he then gave her some privacy. He continued to run his fingers over her arm, feeling the fabric of the sweatshirt he gave her. It was huge on her, but she still looked beautiful. She always would, no matter what.

Light opened her eyes, feeling Riku's motion over her arm. Her torso was getting warmer, but her legs were still cold. She was trying to ignore that, though. "You seem like you're in a good mood," she commented softly. For some reason, Riku just seemed...happy. There was no other way to describe it. She just wondered what sparked his good mood.
"Why wouldn't I be?" Riku asked, his small smile remaining ever so slightly. "Things are going well." Especially with Light. He could only hope that they would continue to get better.

"Yeah, they are," Light agreed quietly. Her friends here were all doing well, and so was her family on Gran Pulse. And of course, she and Riku were doing well here. They hadn't fought in a while, so that was nice. They were prone to fight because of their tempers, but they were becoming more mature and cool-headed as they got more used to each other. That was terrific.
Riku looked down at the woman he loved, thinking. Every time something was going well in his life, a problem came around to destroy it all. It aggravated him, and worried him. "...I just hope nothing messes it up," he said, speaking of how good life was right now. He didn't want anything bad to happen to him or his friends.

Lightning shook her head faintly, pulling away a little bit so that she could look up at Riku. "Nothing will," she assured him quietly. She wasn't going anywhere any time soon, and if he was, then he wouldn't be going alone. She was going to stick by his side no matter what. Even if he ran off into danger and tried to leave her behind, she wouldn't let him. We stick together now.
Riku gazed at Lightning for a moment, somewhat doubtful. He did hope she was right, though. He hummed softly while gazing at her, wanting nothing more than to have her as his for eternity. But what if something messed that up?

"Have a little faith," Lightning said quietly, eyes softening upon seeing the look in Riku's eyes. He was doubtful, even if things were okay here now. She knew that he was a realist, and sometimes a pessimist, but if she could be optimistic, then he could too. She found hope, so where was his?
"I did...but then I lost you." Riku would never forget that, ever. Losing Lightning was too painful. He was surprised he even survived without her in the future. Life without her was too difficult.

Lightning moved away from Riku a little, setting her hand in her lap as she leaned back against the couch and looked up at him. She wished she could say it wouldn't happen again, but she had to die someday. ...And so did Riku. "I'll never be completely gone," she said, lowering her gaze to the necklace around Riku's neck. Her necklace.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed slightly and he looked down, seeing the pendant of Lightning's necklace outlined underneath his shirt. "Oh," he said, lifting his hands behind him to unclasp it. He forgot to give it back.
